  • So friends this is not a fake video....
    If u have not understand it, then feel free to ask below in the comments
    Here I have modified a 500mA 9-0-9 transformer into a single 1Amp 0-9 transformer...
    Here I have sacrificed voltage in order to get twice current...
    The trick is to make the two secondary coil parallel (which was connected in series via the trapped center) by cutting the centre trap and connecting the leads to right pin to get twice current with a half voltage which is of course 9v. And my application is to charge a battery with it where I have no need of center trapping
    here is the calculation which will help u to understand correctly
    18v*0.5A=9watt (for the previous center trapped design of 9-0-9)
    And 9v*1Amp =9w( for my modified version)

      Same phase me connect karna hoga to ampere double hoga,
      Ac ki (+),(-) change hota rehta h, to dhyan dena hoga ki dono ka change same tarha se ho

    Dear jo do coil series me hai isko centre tap terminals Ko cut karke pehla coil ka centre tap aur dushra coil ka end Ko joant karke ek terminal ,aur pehla coil ka end terminal said dushra coil ka centre tap Ko joint karke dushra terminal nikalo.

    I am using 0-12 and 12-0-12 it has both side output voltage for two channel ....this transformer is in my 2.1 home theater system.....I did RND and thus my 2nd channel input end one capacitor burst, where 12-0-12 socket with diode is attached....one 1000uf 25v filter capacitor is working but next to it another 1000uf capacitor is burst......I don't have now 1000uf or more capacitance value capacitor left.......can u give me other possible solution......

      No solution is available. You can't replace capacitor by resistor or transistor. You have to add capacitor.

    Pehele 20 volt pe 0.5 amp (10w) tha ab 10 volt pe 1 amp (10 watt) he 🤣 bhaiya power to same hi he 🤐. 20v 0.5 amp = 10v 1 amp (power is same)

      20 ki jgah bhi hum 9v hi lete the 500ma wala..
      aub 9v hi milega 1Amp wala . wel halfwave rectification hi hoga iska DC ke liye..

    Hello, where did you get those 2 wires from ? did you open the transformer ?

      My transformer is has copper coil so I have direct access to coil without opening it. But aluminium coil transformers has output wires permanent to it. You can get access to the coil by opening the protective paper layer on the coil. But I do not recommend to do so because soldering the aluminium coil is very difficult.

      @@hichamtassi1753 external components cannot increase amps. You should rewind it with thicker coil. Which is not worth

    This circuit described in this video is only applicable for testing purposes not for continuous use. in case of continuous use primary winding of 220v will burn .

      @@FreeCircuitLab because primary winding draws current as per secondary winding's load current . You cannot able to do anything for increasing current carrying capability of primary winding . In practical use when you get a burn out transformer of this type in 95 percent cases you will get primary winding problem not the secondary one .

      Probably u haven't watch the entire video
      In the default configuration,there is one primary and two secondaries in series, each of them produces 9v 500mA,and finally we get 9-0-9 v 500mA hence 9watt (2*9V*0.5A).
      Then I made the two coil parallel to get 9v 1A (not 9-0-9,it is 0-9)hence the wattage is same 9w( 1*9V*1A).
      Now the secondary will never feel anything
      Because we have sacrificed in voltage to get more current, first the output voltage was 18v (9-0-9) now it is 9v(0-9)

      You are completely wrong. Study about step down transformer then comment. It is the principle to increase the secondary current with same voltage rating as was present in centre tapped terminals.

    This is jole thief.it is possible to steal from the primary but i haven't practically tried it using this method in any cercuit for long run like 8 to 12 hours.maybe I'll try to experiment it.good idea.good video.thumbs up

      Use this method, it is the principle to increase the secondary current with same secondary voltage. It will not fail at all during your use.

    How you can measure current in parallel connection of ameter. As far as i know ameter should be connected in series with the load for measurement

      I have measured the short circuit current of it, since it has no voltage feedback, it drops the voltage close to zero at full load, therefore it's a linear device, so the short circuit current should represent the load capacity.and while it's output is shorted, theresistance of the coil acts as load itself

    aisa janta tha

    1 aur sawaal sir, meien dekha tha ki kahi pe 12-0-12 hai to 2 positive diodes 12-12 se capacitor ke +ve pe aur 0 ko -ve pe connect kardo chal jayega to kya isse Ampere double nahi hoga ?
    Dusra point isi tarah se 12-0-12 home theatre me use hota hai to kahi meine padha tha ki 12-0-12 2A transformer hai to wo both channel pe 0-12 2A current dega aur merge me 0-24 2A current chalega but not at same time, means agar 0-12 ka kuch load kahi hai to like 0-12 ka 0.5A current used hai kahi player ya card me to balance bacha 0-12 ka 1.5A aur dusre ka 0-12 2A to total milega 0-24 3.5A current amplifier board/IC ko

      Agar transformer 2amp ka hai to har ek coil me 2Amp short circuit current ayega, chahe dusra coil me load hai ya nehi kuch fark nehi padega

      Ques 1. 12-0-12 se 12V DC k liye 1 to hota hai sirf 0-12 use karke ek 12 ko free kardo aur rectifier lagakar chalu, dusra method use kiya tha 2 DIODES 12 se +ve leliye aur Ground ko as -ve (iska answer hai wo upar ki aise use nahi karna chahiye)
      Ques 2. 12-0-12 2A use kiya normally jaise hota hai to usse amplifier ko kitna volt ampere milta hai i.e. output in watts (1.414x12V=17V, making 2x17V*2A=68W or 17V*2A=32W)
      Ques 3. ye Ques 2 me se hai, ki jaise hum 7805/7812 use karke thodi power kahi aur use karte hai to wo power jo use hoti hai wo zahir hai transformer ki total output se ghategi to amplifier ko bachi hui kitni milti hai eg. other device using 500mA 0-12 ki 1 side se jiska -ve ground me hota hai to uski maano ab output amplifier k liye bachi 1.5A to ab dusra puri apni 2A dega amplifier ko ya uski bhi 1.5A hojayegi (17V*1.5A or 17V*2A or amplifier).

      Aut transformer se full watt(V×A) kabhi nehi milta kiunki transformer linear load hai, jo ampere waha likha rehta h wo short circuit current hota h yani zero voltage current,aur jo rated voltage hai wo open circuit voltage yani zero current voltage .to jab load current badta jayega output voltage kam hota jayega kiunki coil ki ek resistance hota h. To mere kheyaal se maximum power jayegi jab output load impedance coil ki impedance se match karegi. To maximum power niklegi 50%, jiski half(yani 25%) transformer ki resistance me heat se waste ho jayegi, baki half yani 25% usable rahega.aur agar 7805 se ek coil se 500mA continuous consume hota h to ek coil ki 25%se wo power jayegi. Baki dusra coil me jitna aana tha utna hi aayega.SMPS supply is transformer se bahot achha h. Kiunki usme feedback system hota h. To constant output voltage milta h maximum rated current tak. Yani 100% power out. Aur SMPS transformer ki secondary me bahot kam turn rehta h 1v per turn ke aas paas yani 12v ke liye 12 turn aur resistance bhi bahot kam hota h less than 0.5 ohm

      @@FreeCircuitLab Thanks Sir, kaafi clear hua transformer ka aur mera pehle yehi sochna tha, but kahi kisi ne kaha ki SMPS se better transformer hai to mein wapas transformer pe aane laga, Qki transformer se humming control achi hoti hai SMPS ke mukable. aur mera doubt hai ki SMPS ki limit hai voltage ke according on continuous full load warna hum 2x SMPS use kar sakte hai dual supply k liye series me karke aur centre ko ground karke eg. SMPS1 +ve merge with SMPS2 -ve and this will be ground and SMPS1 -ve as -ve and SMPS2 +ve as +ve

    Good explanation!
    Your concepts are very clear.
    I think, if in a 12 0 12 transformer, you are using only 12 v and it gets burnt, you can switch to the other coil and still use another coil to take 12v from second coil.
    I did not know that there are two separate windings in a center tap transformer and if one gets burnt, you can utilise another one.

    Can you make and calculate a step up transformer?Step up Transformer input will be 6-12volt, 6amp AC and output will be 48volt, 30amp. Thanks in advance.

      U r welcome,
      Is is 30Amp? I think it is 3 amp.. then you will need need 12v and minimum 12 amp.
      You can design your transformer by this formula..(Vp/Vs =Np/Ns)
      Vp= primary voltage
      Ns=secondary turns
      And there is much more things u have to care about is thickness of wire: which can handle 12Amp and coupling coefficient, Inductance and so on... It is recommended to read some articles about transformer making

      Diode na lagaoge to bhi chalega, but parallel krne se phle dekhna padega phase (+/-) sahi hai ki nhi
      Phle 0 wali point ko apas me connect koro. Fir multimeter se dekho dono transformer ka kaun kaun do point ke bich AC voltage 0 ya bahot kam aa raha hai.... Un dono pin apas me judegi... Ause parallel kr skte hai....
      But ek bar parallel kr diya to baad me ek ka input AC line ki live nutral palatna nhi Chahiye, dono ko ek sath palat skte ho, but ek ka palat denge to dono ulta phase ho jayega, burn ho jayega....

      Physics student hoon. Aur bhai transformer kharab nhi hoga kiunki kisi coil ke upar jyada load to nehi de rhe hain. Ek ek coil se 500m hi aa raha hai lekin humne dono ko parallel karke 1amp banayi

      No bro. Alag option nehi h, coil ke upar jo kagaj ka cover hota hai ushko thoda kat dene se 4 wire mil Jayega.

      It might be of 110v, you have connected it in 220v

      And it has given me 12 volt 3A output for few days

      Yes do transformer parallel kar shakte h lekin yeh process thoda tricky hai ac me +,- change hota h to jo terminal ko ek sath jod rahe hai usme same time me +,+ ya -,- aana chahiye.primary ko pehle jodo, ushke baad dono ka Bich ka zero ko parallel me jod do, fir baki char wire ke bich multimeter se ac voltage check karo, agar 0 aaye to jodo,aur agar 24 v aye to mat jodo. Aur ek bar thik karke jodne ke baad primary ka connection palatna nehi h. To to do transformer short ho jaayega

      @@FreeCircuitLab Thanks Sir, samajh gaya mera doubt clear hua +/- ka hi tha, mujhe bhi yehi doubt tha isliye meine socha dono ki separate DC banakar aage unko parallel kardo wo bhi safest method lagta hai waise to, aap kya kehna chahoge iss baare me ki mein 0-12 2A ki supply lu aur 0-12 3A ki supply aur fir +/- parallel karu to kya wo 0-12 5A ka kaam karenge isme bas 2x bridge rectifier and capacitors use honge (but can be used separately too if required).
      Still for practice will try this too the above merging method.

    Agar hum transformer pe full bridge rectifier use karen with dual capacitor aur trf. gnd ko cut kar k bridge rectifier k dono pole se (+) 9 & (-) 9 use karen fir bride rectifier mein dual capacitor jo bridge kiya uss a gnd le to easyly hum ampere jada milega...aur (+) 9v- 0- (-)9v bhi...😊

    Good effort but Where is the load and ampmeter is used in series but you are connecting in parallal with secondary winding.if you can connect actual load of 1amp then we can trust.

      Bro..if a source can deliver 1Amp directly to a ammeter in short circuit condition,then the transformer is called 1Amp transformer. Here I have made the short ckt current double hence it is clear that it will deliver double ampere through any load

      U have to rectify and filter it.. usually amplifier circuit boards have the rectifier inbuilt ( two big capacitors and 4 diodes) if there is no such circuit u have to make it.. "dual supply rectifier" (Google search)

    Yes you are correct. But here we have to use the bridge rectifier of 1A current rating to get 9v/1A output.

    This is totally illogical. Already i try with 14-0-14 transformer.when when connect parallel resistance will drop.suppose 2 coil 14-0-14
    Per coil 2.0 ohms when you connect series 2.0+2.0= 4 ohms voltage 28
    When connect Parallel resistance will show 1 ohms so output voltage 0.754

      It should be 2 coils of same transformer. If different transformer used, they might become short to each other if they are out of phase.
