I love the Gospel-y FFRF intro song. LOL.
I'm 74 years old, and 54 years free from religion. I have never regretted it for a moment. Thank you for presenting that option to others.
YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST … terrific! Thank you.
I love how they delight and relish the idea of atheists "burning in hell."
As an Atheist my entire life; channels like these enrich Atheism and add a wonderful view of free thinkers. Thank you for this channel; we need much more of these types of dialogue.
FFRF does great work, keep it up!!!
I was drawn to a Christian group years ago, because of their actions, kind speech and inclusiveness, and it was a wonderful thing. My mistake was thinking that it was the Christianity that made them that way. I learned the hard way that it was NOT. It was just that particular group of individuals. It took a lot of hell from believers to make me see that. Atheists like the speakers on this show are good for the sake of being good, not to make points with a god they fear.
You should publish a book (a big one) with all these letters. Title it "Christian Love," subtitled, "Read it and weep."
Problem is, it would only be a five-page book with the same nonsense repeated. There was not an original thought in the entire tirade of trash.
Love FFRF. My life is brighter every day knowing that you fight nonsensical religious dogmas. Keep fighting religious hate. I live in Louisiana so I'm very hated. Just knowing so many others from all over experience the same "love" from "Christian's". Very helpful.
I never had to face that and am very thankful for the privilege you remind me of /the humility you inspire.
Feeling for you. Move to Oz. No 'Christian' bigotry here..
Why don't these videos get more views?! I cannot believe it. I just stumbled upon this and I am hooked!
I like your show's format, laid-back and relaxed.
FFRF does great work! We're lucky to have such an organization.
Great show. "Crank Mail" is always a favorite feature of every Freethought Today.
Thank goodness you folks are around to bring some sanity into the mix
Crankmail is my absolute favorite!!! 🤣🤣 I live for the FB post each week and folks, I am never disappointed! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you feel the christian love LOL
It's utterly venomous! LOL
I showed this to an acquaintance and his only reaction was: "oh, an inmate as their supporter? Figures that an immoral person would back an immoral organization".
Wow. Just ....wow.
"Care to sue me? I'll fart in your face." I'm laughing out loud as I write that!!! Oh, these loving xtians are so charming. :-)
Lol "That doesn't sound like free will, that sounds like a threat or something". That's an excellent point
I feel so loved by all these loving Christian's!!🤔🤔😂😂😂🤕
40 Dollars a YEAR?! I just signed up right now! I love what you guys are doing and I am proud to now be a supporter of it. Keep it up!
You should report that one guy who had the threatening billboard. That was a very clear case of terroristic threat.
You come around my neighborhood, and I offer each of you a beer. So proud to learn that an organization such as freedom from religion Foundation calls my state's capital home. Seriously, if you show up in the Fox Cities, I will buy you a beer
Ya know it's kinda funny...I mean I know that we're all individuals with different ideas but it's VERY seldom I hear, read or see something from a fellow atheist that I find distateful. Maybe it's confirmation bias but I doubt it. I'm proud to be a free thinking atheist. Thank you for your hard work.
“Religion of peace” comes to mind...
The Christian god is a loving god!
Just ask the canaanites, the people of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, Egyptian first born sons and the billions and billions of people in hell that were born into the wrong religion/religious family.
great job guys - hilarious ! D.A., NYC
This would make a great book! :-)
Another deflection response sometimes offered up is that Christianity is not a religion, but that it is a personal relationship with Jesus- however colored though; a relationship with Jesus is still a religion and so has been classified as such since Christianity was invented. Trying to recolor the paint job is not going to change what Christianity is inside the shed.
Many others have made the same claim of exclusivity with a God or Jesus eschewing the need for church or affiliation, however that worship scheme will always be classified by the afore mentioned groups as a religion for the simple fact that all denominations that eschew the descriptor “religion” would risk losing nearly all U.S. tax entitlements for the most generous allowances, deductions, avoidance and exceptions in the world, i.e. they may no longer being considered non- profit, so don’t think that viewpoint will ever gain much traction in the spiritual community- indeed one will likely be “reproved” by every extant church for promoting that viewpoint.
As for myself, I have a personal relationship with reality, unfortunately no favorable tax breaks come with that viewpoint.
I have a personal relationship with my imaginary friend, but we argue a lot.
Love it!! I used to work with the public. People are nuts. LOL
The best part of this is how these letters crack up the hosts.
Glad you are there.
I love these!
I like the crank mail. Partly for the humour and also because I find it informative. It tells me things about the mindset and thinking of the writers of said crank mail.
The guy that would love to send us all to his special place in hell, might want to read his bible. He has condemned himself with that statement and that desire, according to that book he pretends to live by, while never actually reading it.
The profanity, rage, and homoerotic insults also speak volumes.
People like this are free to (Shudder!) procreate. And VOTE!!!
I would buy a copy of the book! Would be great for a coffee table.
The letters are fun. It is nice to have some levity with the subject!
I love how a lot of the hate mails have an "I'll pray for you" in it. Could that mean that "I'll pray for you" isn't always that well intended? Who would've guessed!
Speaking of being heckled, when you said that, it reminded me of a cartoon I used to see as a kid called, "Heckle & Jeckle". I think you might be about the same age as me and you might remember it, too. It has nothing to do with your discussion... I just thought I'd mention it. Have a good one. 🙂
Wow, I need to subscribe again. I was printed in"Free Thought Today" many years ago. But you guys get the craziest letters from "loving" Christians! Keep up the good work! I support you!
Dan, you should create a band called "Blasphamy" (intentionally misspelled) to perform that "50 Ways" song and maybe some other stuff.
Sometimes my approach to a religious person who is berating free thinkers is something like:
" Your god should be kicked in the balls and while he is lying there we could discuss birth defects and cancer in children." I've not yet been rationally responded to. Thanks for the program!!
I need to add FFRF to our happy holidays card address list, on the years we get around to one. Keep up the good work, 👍.
Keep up the great hard work!
I'd bet happy to come help do the compiling and editing for the book (series), let me know if and when you need a research assistant for that project.
Transfer all of the calls you get to Matt Dillahunty or Aron Ra's personal phone. I'm sure they would enjoy it.
Atheist experience Austin Tx takes a fair share of the idiot calls already.
A collection of your Black Collar Crimes column would also make a terrifying book.
I can’t tell if this is off the scale sarcasm or they are playing it straight. Keep up the good work.
Watching this late during the pandemic. ROFLMAO! Too Funny. Love the Stupid Folks at xmas.
FFRF rocks!
Wow. It’s almost like these people don’t know their god sees their hate.
I'm not an atheist (Methodist actually), but I am an open-minded,anti-censorship,heretical,free-thinker... Keep Up The Good Work!
It will pass. Education will remove your superstition.
These letters are great examples of hate, ignorance, and stupidity.
Do you think that P. J. Slinger ever goes around throwing pyjamas at people?
I confess, I tend to read the crank mail 1st too.
Boy, so many loving Christians, I better become one....NOT! 😂This does nothing but prove why Freedom From Religion is necessary!
Robert edited his own cuss word lol 14:31
I wish FFRF had state chapters. I see a member writing to you, from my state, but I feel totally alone because there's no way to reach others here. Religion gets free public service announcements on the radio-- church events, broadcasts, etc.-- but why can't FFRF state members get the same kind of coverage? That way we could put up some events of our own.... Just thinking....🤔
Keep up the good work! Pay no attention to superstitious mystical ,magical non-sence.
That "special place in hell" has more bartenders
Topless waitresses if it is too hot. Lotta preachers there
Hmm, how does a knee bow?
Like an El Bow I imagine good spotting :)
Loving Christians 😂 The God that they believe in” Please forgive them they don’t know what they are doing!😂
That's Sadistic! Wow, and they call themselves Christians?
re - 5:24
The person (marcus sanders?) who sent that card incorrectly placed a comma after the word _hell_ and neglected to place a comma after the word _heathens._
Ya know... I just thought about this; If I'm to correct EVERY failure of communication on behalf of our barely literate theistic friends, I might waste my last few decades here on earth doing little else. I think I'll leave my corrections there...
My idea of heaven is me floating on a cloud, playing my harp,. laughing at all my friends being raped by the devil.
" Norm MacDonald "
I thought Christians didn't use profanity??? I don't remember that Bible verse that gave them a pass and allowed them to use profanity if they used it against atheists or FFRF.
Would you read the Lot story to grade school kids? His daughters getting him drunk and riding him like a pair of "pole" dancers. Who looked back and saw Mrs Lot get converted to a salt stack? How come that onlooker was not "a salted" too?
R. G. Ingersoll said the Wholly~Fable is a book of utter.. filth en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Robert_G._Ingersoll
The crankmail book would be a brilliant idea.
It would be like PostSecrets but the messages are from idiots.
Examples of Christian fundamentalism in action. Why would anyone not want to be part of such a loving, kind, benevolent, forgiving group? Jesus may love everyone, but some of his follows, apparently, not so much.
Actually, Jesus didn't either, if the literature written about him is so... he basically said to the Samaritan woman, "Why are you talking to me? I am not for you, I am for the Jews."
Seems like playing the devil is a strange fantasy that a lot of Uber religious people do
I guess being alive as an atheist is perfectly ok and to be honest some of the most fair minded people I have come across in life were atheists. Its when this mortal life ends is where the problem begins for the non-beliver. I have experienced some things aside from the scriptures that have convinced me of the reality of the paranormal world.
Who believes in hell? If we don't believe in God we sure don't believe in Satan. 😅🤣
@12:16 definition of childish. (I admit I giggled at it) Also showing they literally don't understand what FFRF does.
And sill, all these Christians are better people than the god they worship.
Christianity equals morality, like 2+2= 22
Maybe god is nature.
these letters and emails are supposed to be from Christians? Not really showing the love of :God"by harrassing and calling people, names. We are frre to all make our own decisions and beliefs and not be threathened by them
It astounds me how twisted people can be. Focusing so much hate and persecution (on people who cause no harm) while claiming moral superiority. It would be funny if it didn't cause so much suffering.
Great video but I gotta say, that theme song is super corny and it's like fingernails on a chalkboard!
This would be funny if you actually tried to have fun with it. You guys are too dry. Dawkins giggling while reading his hate mail is more entertaining.
Fart in your face lol. Where is THAT in the bible?
