This paper is so pretty when dried, I'm experimenting with colored tissue as well. The white tissue is just gorgeous when dried. I can't wait to use the papers in my collages. I am new to mixed media collage, and the more I see these talented artists on UA-cam, the more comfortable I am in gathering my supplies to begin, and also understanding their techniques. I've seen Nita's video at least 10x. I plan on buying some of her books too. I'm doing an underwater theme, but using multi layers including Venetian plaster on my board.
Hi Pickles1386--this is only meant as a preview of techniques, and is not the full-length video which has the complete demos from start to finish. I hope some of what is shown here will help or inspire your own work though.

It is helpful if in the comments add the materials used in the video. Love the technique but have no clue to what products were used.
I believe that my Grandma would have been great at and enjoyed collage. She was great at connecting unconnected things, things with no relation.

Nita makes her own crystalline paper and shows how to do it in the full-length version of this video. Rice paper tinted with color would work too.
I have your "Creative Collage Techniques" book, and I LOVE it--I've learned so much from it. It's really excited to see this tutorial. Thank you!
Too many details left out to be of much help to beginners.
Sorry-it's exciting, I'M excited. LOL.
