This has to be the most beautiful and most authentic video ever on climbing the mountains of Scotland in winter.. and so awfully cold 🥶 🥶🥶🥶🥶!! So thankful we were to see you had a hiking buddy as well.. many of those drop offs were awesome indeed🥹🥺🥶 We felt bad that you were unable to have a warm dinner.. although as always you make the best of it.. and focus on the abundant beauty all about you.. those video shots of the sunsets and mountains were breathtaking.. so beautiful they brought tears😭😭 What an adventure, this! We were glad when you reached less treacherous ground! Thank you ever so much for this grand video.. we feel as though we are right beside you.. especially the scenes where you show the depth of the footprints you leave behind! Your epic adventures are first rate.. the best we have ever seen.. and your gentle and informative commentary along the way is so much appreciated..❄️ We truly loved this one.. you are as amazing as the beautiful land you are walking through..💜💙 William and Jen
What a fantastic video Gregor! Those views were stunning and the sunset and sunrise shots were beautiful. You and your mate did so well! Thanks for taking the time and effort in filming and editing these for our enjoyment.
You might consider a primus omnifuel stove, which works at any temperature because you pump it to ensure pressure. The Ti version is lighter, but less powerful. Other brands are available, but I can recommend this particular stove.. Excellent video, well done lads.
Great video, that sunrise looked special. Those are some of my favourite Munro's, camped on the third a few years ago. Correct decision made on the other two Munro's, the ridge between is quite exposed in places.
@ScottishSummiteer Yup. My mom and dad watch your videos too when I play them on the TV and appreciate your shots and hikes. Not a native English speaker so they don't understand much of what you say but they still enjoy the laid back watching of your adventures 🙌
Evening Gregor. Absolutely fantastic mate, what an adventure that was, stunning views and amazing sunrises and sunsets. All the best mate, have a great weekend. 😀⛰🥾🏴🏴
That was a tremendous video again, the colours were incredible. I'd much rather watch than be there though, I despise the cold! Thanks as always, Gregor.
My original old 'campinggaz' burner was charged with pure butane, which gave little pressure at a little under 0° cent. I believe the modern types are a mix of butane and propane that performs to lower temperatures, but even so, it can take a long while to boil water. Not something you can tolerate if you're sitting in the open on a mountain top like yourselves🥶 Propane works at higher pressure, so cartridge has to be thicker/stronger, hence heavier to carry. Always a compromise!
I was up there on my last video, camped on the 2nd one’s summit and got the most amazing cloud inversion. Cracking video. Always a huge test when winter properly kicks in. ATVB Robert
So gorgeous! I couldn't tell if you had microspikes on your boots, if not, they do provide a better grip and more confidence on snow. Thanks for posting this adventure.
Hi mate another fantastic adventure. The snow on top of the mountains and the back drop very Christmassy. Looking forward to the next. Take care 🥶🥶👌👍 peace
Beautiful Alpenglow. I love the drive along Loch Cluanie & down Glen Shiel though haven't managed to walk in that area. Mate I was shivering for you in that tent. Bet you were glad to get moving again the next morning. Beautiful video.
Really cold and challenging conditions. Butane liquefies at minus one degree, so no longer being a gas, you have problems. As your viewers have said, use body heat to warm the canister, and certainly have it in your sleeping bag at night! Enjoy your hot noodles next time!
Well done spending the night in those freezing conditions! I met Molly, the mountaineering dog, and her owner up there one year. On that occasion, I got disoriented and completely missed Sail Chaorainn. I still have to do it! ⛰️
I enjoy your channel. I am glad to see you were traveling with a hiking buddy. I hope you carry a satellite communication device or an iPhone 14 or higher for satellite communication. Stay safe.
You might have to look into buying a liquid fuel cooker for sub zero conditions Gregor, or gas canisters with a higher percentage of Propane Haha and while you're at it, a pair of gaiters to stop the snow gettin in ya boots lol Beautiful wintery views and lighting on this video
Great film - thoroughly enjoyed. Get that little gas canister in your sleeping bag with you or under your down jacket for a wee while next time - it will soon come up to working temperature. If you don't want to do that then take a hexy burner with you.
Proper winter night out. Very enjoyable video, great footage. Can I ask, do/did you consider microspikes for such hikes or don't you find it that necessary? I'm a winter hike novice tbh but planning a Highland winter hike myself and trying to plan the proper equipment.
Yeh I’d definitely take micro spikes/crampons and an ice axe if you’re heading above the snow line. You may not need them if the snow is soft, but always better safe than sorry👍
Another thought, I always bring a thermos of water just out of the teakettle which stays piping hot until I open it, always grateful for it being hot when I need a hot drink most.
Thanks for taking us with you, glad I could watch you from my cosy living room 😂
Haha probably a bit warmer
Just got home from work and there you are. Soooo relaxing. Thanx for your outstanding job
Thanks mate, means a lot🤝
What a wonderful adventure to go camping in the snow !! Beautiful views as well. Thank you 🙂👍

stunning views against the orange and reds of the sunrise.
That's stunningly beautiful.
Such beautiful scenery 😊

@@ScottishSummiteer thanks I always love your adventures they never cease to amaze me 👍👍❤️peace
Some great footage ...really enjoyed this .
Beautiful place
Put your gas inside your top for 10 minutes before you want to use it. That'll usually do the trick! Beautiful video and views
Beautiful Alpenglow. I love the drive along Loch Cluanie & down Glen Shiel though haven't managed to walk in that area. Mate I was shivering for you in that tent. Bet you were glad to get moving again the next morning. Beautiful video.
Yeh it’s a stunning area, couldn’t wait to get up and move haha. Almost frozen solid by the time I woke up😂

Beautiful wintery views and lighting on this video
Great idea mate, will look into it
You could try keeping your gas canister in an inside jacket pocket. The body heat will help the gas. Fabulous outing, rather you than me though 🥶❄️
Thanks mate, will give that a try next time

It's currently 24 C where I'm at 🥶🥶😂
