- The new quarry hunslet from Maxitrak, available as a ready to run model, 5" gauge and capable of pulling 4 people. A perfect starter engine if you want your own live steam garden railway.
Lovely engine! Would love a 5 inch gauge loco if could afford one. Like the commentary from the little kid lol
It sure does! this model has everything as standard, that's why it's such a good starter loco!
very nice loco mister and the other steamengine´s too :)
Greatings from Holland (Netherlands)
Most Beautiful Locomotive
"Dzień dobry, Władek w domu? - Nie, pojechał gdzieś pociągiem" ;)
Great!
thankyou. love these small engines and have spent all weekend runing them actually. want to buy my own but sadly we dont have the smaller track. we are 7.5 gauge.
great vid ,im getting a maxi this year and track, ill be in touch,
Fabulous engine and tempting track! Super
nice steamer runs strong
great vid, been looking for this for ages
god! that shovel just fits in the firebox door!!!
Yep that's beautiful 😲🤪 🧐..very cool 🤓..👍
Great Little loco..
@KnapfordMaster98 useing a fan is make quicker and when u get 20 on the pressure gauge u take it off and use the blower on loco
Amazing job, congratulations, add a wireless camera and rc controller to get rid on that mini beast, and build a expresso machine too to enjoy both things! ;)
@balak121. For this money you could buy a reasonable second hand lathe and milling machine and the materials to build a small loco. It is very gratifying, but takes a long time. I built a Maisie a Sweet Pea and a petrol driven 0 6 0 shunter which I designed myself. Then a vertical boiler to run a stationary oscillating engine.
Great video !!!
wow...that is awesome !!
You take the electric blower off at about 40 PSI
Is 40 psi better than 20psi?
wow.. didn't expect it to pull a human.. wow
@balak121 it's £3495 for a painted kit version, painting anf lining done you put it together!
Al
very nice loco. ive thought about starting a garden railway but the locos are so expensive how much does this loco cost?
Yes!
@ShaurntheSheep No it needs to be heat proof, computer fan will melt!
if i buy one of those is the coal shovel included
When you draw the fire at the beginning, can you use the blower instead of the electric fan? P.S. Great Vid. :) Alice looks awesome.
@maxitrak where did you get that nifty little shovel !?!?!?
Most of the 5 inch gauge locos and 3.5'' blow off at about 80psi
I'm looking to getting into garden railway but how much would a set up like yours cost, for everything you have there?
i'v bean fixing up a nice 5 inch simplex
yes we can, we have a open day every summer and people are welcome to come along and try locos for them selves. We also have a railway available for our own use so if you can't wait until summer let us know and we can sort something out. Call us on 01580 893030
Pak...kui sepure gawe dewe opo tuku nang toko? Kui rel.e harang seko wesi...apik tenan.
Wow.... it isn't much bigger than a toy train, but it runs the same way bigger, "real" engines do. This is the tiniest engine I've ever seen.
did it come with the shovel
did you have to build all of your loco's?
and the traks?
do you get a ride on wagon for that as well
How long does it run between water refills and new coal ?
Are you not worried about the toxic fumes hurting the child? Grand locomotive!
what preasure do you put the blower on?
Does the loco have a whistle?
for sure that steam engine on that toy train have more HP than a honda civic
Not a "Toy!". I prefer that you say, Live steam locomotive.
Can it be fited with 71/4' wheels?
it's got an axle pump!!
is this the 1''scale engine that i see at the accucraft store?
chubby7570 yes it is And it is In the rare gauge of 4.75" I The usa ,
The only two gauge that I know of that are rare for manufacturing Companies to build In is 4.75 "Inch and 3.5" inch not there aren't any it's just people now a days like running bigger engine .
if i want to buy the engine as a kit. what would it cost me
can you use a computer fan to draw the fire
What coal are you using ?
how heave would the engine be?
At what psi do you take the fan off?
where can you get train like this in USA?
Why not sell the free market in Brazil has not, what good show hey have to sell
where can i buy one i like it
esta bonito
Hi. I live in Western Australia. where can I get one of these locomotives for cheap?
Cheers,
Mark
gotta keep looking round the internet regularly, not sure where you could buy one over there, in england we use Steam Workshop or maxitrak or station road steam or even ebay but there are a few crooks on there. non of them are cheap so if you want one cheap i suggest buying one thats ran down but needs doing up
Minedyourself Gaming its very difficult to by a live steam in Australia as well as the USA because of the very unusual gauge and it’s literally impossible to by a CHEAP live steam locomotive
hi. I live in the United States of America. where can I get one of these locomotives for cheap?
www.accucraftestore.com online its in cali in the us . they have this loco there and its also where i got my fowler from
+chubby7570 there is no such thing as cheap in the model railway hobby.. not by a long shot.
+dylan palombo Cheap is about three to four grand which is about how much 'Alice' costs. And that's in pounds sterling. A decent 4-6-4 or 4-6-0 will cost the wrong side of ten grand and that's in medium condition. Apart from a few of the cheaper mass produced stuff which you want to steer clear of, pretty much every loco was a commission job by some model steam engineer often lovingly and jealously guarded and traded amongst the avid collectors.
Take a look at http: // www. steamdays. co. uk/ (link address minus the spaces). You'll also find others if you google 5" or 7 1/4" live steam)
There's a few dubious trains on offer but if you look a few pages in their current stock, you'll find some lovely 5"-7 1/4" models. They're not cheap though although a nice investment if you have a local track at a park you can use. Charge a few small coins for rides on the train during the summer months and you should be able to cover your future maintenance costs should it prove popular. If not, and unless you have your own shop with tools, lathes and what not, then expect it to be almost as costly a hobby as keeping a light aircraft.
Ok. thanks for the info my good fellow railroad enthusiast. I will be sure to keep this info. thank you so much.
+dylan palombo We have a good selection of second-hand items on our website too and at the moment we have two Alices in 5" gauge maxitrak. com /secondhand. php minus the spaces, take a look these are all tested and come with guarantee's!
Happy Steamin!
Really? Wow....
Well, Maxitrak should help you. Just ask them.
Bucket full of charcoal soaked in bbq fluid. Puts a few lumps on shovel, puts shovel on bbq fluid soak coal and lights coal on shovel... Good way to lose some eyebrows... Go careful next time ah lad. :)
wilesco and mamod make much smaller ones.
They do but this one is the one capable of pulling two adults around ground Level track . The Mamod ones are only for the Looks (I too have 10 gauge 1 Locos)
You start of with too much water and every time we get a close up of the back head you have too little water.
Water is the main thing you check not the fire.
next time water first then do what you want to the fire.
Who else is jealous
Sorry,71/4''.Not 71/4',that would be way to big!
aku senang
Can i have it .lol
that was terrible! the only good part was from 00:00 to 4:43
Mr Joj good sir, may I ask how you appear nearly everywhere I go? XD
