    B seriously looked sad that he didn't choke him out w/the triangle! Don't worry, Brian, you'll figure out how to stop that. They don't call you T-City for nothin', bro!

    You sound just like Rener when you said “put his hips into the bucket”. This is awesome. Thanks

    Do they teach all instructors to sound like Rener? The cadence is identical.

      The Gracie's certification process for their instructors is based on teaching methods that Helio and Rorion Gracie have utilized and perfected throughout the years of the gentle art's evolution from the early 1920s to the modern day. If you watch the early instructional videos that Rorion released through the Gracie Store, you'll notice that a lot of Rener and Ryron's instructional mannerisms were inherited from their father. Feel free to see for yourself.

      I see, that makes sense. I've always liked their clear instruction in combination with the level of excitement that they have. At the same time, individuality shouldn't necessarily be replaced by a one-size-fits-all approach. I see it's function though, many BJJ schools are lacking in the communication department.

      Honken Outside of Gracie Certified Training Centers, I wouldn't know about other BJJ schools and how they teach. I do know that the CTC I trained at in Central Kansas gives the same clear, precise instruction that Rener and Ryron do on their Gracie Combatives DVDs as well as Bullyproof, Women Empowered, and their Master Cycle lessons.
      The CTC training formats and presentation are identical and consistent to the degree where you can go out of town to someplace that also has a Gracie CTC; train there for free (provided they get advance notice you're coming); and you'll get credit at your home school when you get back.
      But like I said before, look it all up and judge for yourself. I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed.
      By the way, if and when you do happen to meet and be trained by Rener Gracie like I was last year, what you see on the Gracie Breakdowns is exactly what you get. He is that energetic, intelligent, and funny; not to mention that he takes the family art very seriously.

    Awesome video! You should have a lot more hits in the weeks to come, and all the likes to go with them.
    Personally, I feel an evil laugh coming on once this is studied and practiced a few thousand times.

    How you would defend against a switch to a triangle-armbar?

    • @GSfights
      @GSfights 6 років тому +2

      To elaborate, moving the hand across the opponent seems to leave your arm vulnerable to a switch to the armbar while triangled.

    It looks as if Brian could easily transition into an omoplata or am i missing a detail that is preventing him from doing that?

    • @OsoInfinite95
      @OsoInfinite95 7 років тому

      MrSnappledrink the instructor's right knee is sitting on top of Brian's hand. That would stop Brian from rolling into an omaplata

    This is just dumb. You are acting like Brian doesn't have arms. You'll find yourself in an armbar before your arm reaches his shoulder if you're fighting Brian.
