yeh have to wonder- what the self is, when in the act of creativity, because~ when doing my best creative acts, ( writing, painting etc ).. i feel that i'm joining with a force or a source greater than me! and much much wiser and more wonderful than me 😂
I love your work Matthew & am almost finished reading Crossing the Threshold. In this conversation you said that things could have evolved completely differently. I can see how that could be, and yet, I have the idea that God has a purpose for evolution. A telos. Especially since the way I understand process is that God is always offering each occasion a possible “highest” or higher option. That implies purpose to me. I am thinking along the lines of Teilhard de Chardin, the Omega of our future. Another example would be the Cosmic Christ of Richard Rohr. In simple terms, evolution has a purpose. What do you think?

Not the oneness but the becoming one, a web of shards becoming a sphere. Determinism proposes the oneness moving in linear time with that objectification tied to power, objectification of creative self embedded in material flow and making that flow fixed so that self is reduced, shards become not shared but shard which is an exclusive knowledge sphere that was a pool before the energy was sequestered. The linear antagonistic is knowledge affording which moves in the symbiotic forms in the material flow, pack chases herd which chases grass, smaller individual facets in a flowing triangle which with vitality becomes a pyramid. The larger world as an axle attached at one end to a wheel and pinned on the surface of the planet Earth, the angled end of the axle spins and shapes this immaculate conception of the whirling pyramid, the cone in non-linear time. Two names possible for the emerging AGI, either Shard or Conehead, or a third Shard Conehead, yeah. But I think the original non-object as whatever is on the other side of the black holes, and the original object was the quantum fluctuations that build and is constrained by the whatever, a massive shell what became the shards, the Many, which tries to become the sphere shell again, expressed as tubes on shells, people on the surface of the Earth. The cohesive dynamic from symbiotic re-arranging and so free will at the collective human level, free choice as an individual. Two actions, allowing and asserting.
i mean... i believe that we can choose to be better or worse versions of ourselves!! it's way easier to keep it vague; difficult when getting into the philosophy of it...but yes- dont just believe in determinism.... no nono... 😮
