i have frozen paint on my car. while it's true u have to repaint panels to correct chips, the original matte paint from bmw is more dynamic than a matte ppf. it pops much more in sunlight than ppf.
That's not s bad idea I suppose. My car is white which is the exact color I want. Gonna get the paint fixed up around some corners and add some racing stripes and probably add the clear coat
Hope theyre still in business by then. I dont think they've turned any profit yet. Id be scared to buy one because if it breaks they may stop making parts. But I guess if you have that kind of money you probably will trade it in after a couple of years anyway.
Most importantly it protects it from sun damage, again this isn’t paint so don’t be like “let’s see how sun damaged it will be in five years”, this is just a protection for your new cars. For example, you got a new 100,000$ car and would hurt your soul to get stone chip off your factory paint? This is the way to go

That never comes off and ruins your paint, oh but will peel and bubble in about 1-2 years. If you live in a hot climate it’ll ruin itself in about 5mo

Most satin ppf hide metalic base from semimatt paint, so the color looks "flat".

Does PPF protect your paint from sun damage
Not to mention that you can add some ceramic coating on it and it'll more resistant, easier to wash and with a deeper tone
So you apply glossy ppf then on top of it the mate film?
