Yeah but for the best experience you'd play Hypixel in 1.8.9 anyway, and then you go optifine → furfsky or something since you're already using resource packs. But as an example, yea, servers on up-to-date versions can do crazier and crazier stuff with each update. The command warning is handy but I'm sure it can be bothersome in some cases. Hopefully it's on by default but there's an option somehow in settings / resource packs to disable it
I haven't checked in-game but I think the fix meant that creakings can be nametagged if the player spawns them using a creaking heart they've collected, but not if they spawned naturally in the wild.
6:33 this was the first time I was whatching a bug, bc its hindered one of my data packs, so when I got the message that it was assigned (to SlicedLime) and then fixed, I couldn't wait for 1.20.4pre1 to come out🎉
Here I was thinking tints and new symbols would have to do with finally making colored and decorated clay pots. And it's even more frustrating it isn't, because this drop is obviously supposed to be both Halloween and Christmas themed, as the Pale wood types can be used for a white snowy house, and the resin a saturated orange, almost the kind affiliated with Halloween. And why colored pots matters in all of this is mostly Christmas. I mean, with certain symbols and the color orange, you could make Halloween themed pots. But being able to turn them green, or red, or yellow, or white, and put things on them like spruce tree patterns, or a snowman, or presents, like, this could have really given us some nice seasonal decor without needing to go all out with decorations. Just give us something we've been asking for and fit it into the drop in a thematic way. And this drop is definitely centered around the end of year holidays.
My main problem with the creaking is that there’s no way to keep it around during the day. Really limits creativity in survival, knowing what tango could’ve done with the creaking in decked out 3 makes it even more disappointing
The new text characters in the Unifont are actually from one of the most recent additions to Unicode, the Symbols for Legacy Computing! They're intended to represent text characters used on a variety of old computers, but it's great that they can be used for all one's evil Minecraft name purposes too!
I'm glad they're going under the hood with this update. Feels like we're getting a Buzzy Bees update again. Just wish they were also, or had saved for later, paying this much attention to the new biom. It's still a forest, a bit too small, and there's nothing to keep the player there long enough for any meaningful engagement. It's another grab what you want and get out bioms. Unless you *really* want everything to be desaturated. But, unless you're building a haunted house or the like, I can't see too many people living in it.
2:13 I NEEDED THAT SO MUCH for my Noita inspired mod. I'll probably upgrade to that version just for that so I don't have to Mixin my way into the hand renderer
All the new technichall changes mojang do over the last months are incredible, it will allow for soo many new epic mods and resource packs, and makes them eazier to develop
As someone who has done datapack and resource fiddling, I like the new customizations but I'm boggled on how they'll be applicable to anything. The best way to determine its usefulness is to reflect on all the packs you've made and where it can be applied. If the team colored paper needs players on the respective team, I can see it being used for a secret roles game for the gamemaster or maybe even a player, otherwise it feels useless. A very odd addition
Honestly when you think about it the rabbit thing helped a lot with people getting bundles.. maybe that was secretly temporarily done to get more people trying them.. 1:12
Mattel does something similar with the attractions for Playmobil. It’s just an interactive area for children, it’s ok but usually nothing groundbreaking.
regarding the minecraft themed attractions. I was at liseberg in sweden last month, they had minecraft dungeons on an arcade machine. not sure if that's common knowledge that it exists but.yupp. its there.
5:45 I’m pretty sure this is supposed to mean creakings spawned by the player can be name tagged and not naturally spawned ones. Could probably use better phrasing if that’s the case lol
Theyre finally doing the kind of updates ive been wanting. Been getting so sick of major title updates that only add bigger details and hardly touch the base game. We need more quality of life updates and overall improvements to existing stuff.
I've been asking for the ability to change the color of items for so long with commands, especially with all of the new datapack, commands, and tag additions! I was literally considering making a video just on how Minecraft needed this! I don't like how it seems like it only works based off of the team though, this would've been good for custom items, such as allowing the creation of emerald swords that don't override the texture pack the player is using! I think any item should be able to be tinted with a hex code in commands, similar to leather armor!
I wasn't expecting the Winter Drop to actually drop right at the start of winter, but at this point it's looking pretty likely for that to be the case.
while i think its unfortunate we dont have much more use for resin outside of absurdly good scaffolding blocks, i hope that resin can be found in more nicher recipes in the coming drops/updates soon!
I still think they need to make it so that the creaking doesn't despawn if like a wide enough area is Darkness or doesn't have sunlight because as it is now you can't use them in a game or something unless it is night time
6:53 I just realised something is that WB made a LoTR anime movie they made on the bottom right on their yt channel right before they dropped the Minecraft movie official trailer.
For the Creaking name tag change, the bug was that you *could* use a name tag even though you aren't supposed to be able to, and the reason it said "again" is because that same bug existed and was fixed before, then it broke again.
Those symbols have been around since the 1970s, though they weren't officially added to Unicode until April 2024. With the Commodore 64 you had PETSCII as its character set, right? These symbols are similar to that, but come from the character sets of the Amstrad CPC, the Apple I, the Sharp MZ, first generation HP computers, and the RadioShack TRS-80.
Since Pre-release 1 was released today for the Creaking and Pale Garden drop, Im just gonna go ahead and say the Pale Garden and Creaking will be officially released on Tuesday, December 3rd, or Tuesday, December 10th. One of those days is the release date for the Pale Garden and Creaking
Ngl I think the command execution warning is kind of pointless and ugly/in the way considering datapack makers would likely want to make use of having commands contained inside usable items like that? Like, why even give a warning? It’s not like it allows execution of raw Java code that could be used to dox someone, it’s just Minecraft commands. At best it’s being used for custom items in datapacks and at worst it’s being used by a friend in a cheap-enabled world to prank you, who does it actually hurt?
After the new trailer for A Minecraft Movie, I'm definitely wayyy more excited. It looked like overpriced garbage, but now it looks actually enjoyable. I'll definitely be watching it with friends and family
I could see the command warning message on spawn eggs being annoying if the mechanic is being used in a map or whatnot, but I'm not sure how exactly you'd get around that without invalidating the intended purpose of the message
Aw, the tint isn't as cool as I thought it would be. I was hoping it would be a command NBT that allowed you to change the color of individual items :(
The new wood blocks would be really cool if they'd actually be white, rather than very light pink. I don't know what they were thinking advertising it as a white block when it's not. I also don't understand how the wood had to be pink when it's growing in a completely desaturated biome. People where are asking for white wood they said so they could have white picket fences (and other things) - and they gave them light pink wood calling it white 🤦♂️
One thing I'm thinking about. The team color thing, will it work on a single player world? If so, I wonder if it's possible to use on normal blocks that doesn't already have color variants, like dirt, wood, diorite etc. If that's the case, then there will be so many more options for building.
5:48 The wording is a little unclear, in the last snapshot, creakings were able to be nametagged when they weren't supposed to. In this version, they cannot be nametagged. The reason they cannot be nametagged is because they'll despawn when it comes daytime anyways and then you just lose your nametag

With all these backend stuff they are adding, I hope to god they make a setting that lets us change what the max item stack size is. They seem so hellbent on not touching the inventory, ever.
That’s already a thing I think
My youtube recap said I was in your top 0.5% of viewers. I guess I pretty much watched all of them and I had really fun with it, thank you 🙏
UA-cam recap?
@@billenboefIf you're on phone, there's a compass symbol in the top left of the main menu (under UA-cam logo). It has all the trending topics like Gaming, music, cooking etc once you click on it.
After that, click gaming and your Gaming recap is there (this applies to all the topics so there's a music recap too)!
5:44 That’s because them being nametaggable was a bug. That seems to now be working correctly due to the wording of that sentence.
When in the bugs section, the sentence details the bug as it was before getting fixed
The team tint can be used to kinda add textures to items in vanilla, imagine your Hyperion having a blue tint in Hypixel skyblock!
Oh, this update's giving us even better ways to customise item textures and models, it's really quite astounding
Yeah but for the best experience you'd play Hypixel in 1.8.9 anyway, and then you go optifine → furfsky or something since you're already using resource packs.
But as an example, yea, servers on up-to-date versions can do crazier and crazier stuff with each update. We never got the modding API but we sure are getting really cool stuff to tweak the vanilla experience by doing as little as dragging a zip inside a folder
Tints and Glints update hype!
Do the colored items work with item frames/armor stands? Would create a bunch of cool creative/debug stick decorations!
The command warning is handy but I'm sure it can be bothersome in some cases. Hopefully it's on by default but there's an option somehow in settings / resource packs to disable it
5:39 This is like the 5th time this has happened
I haven't checked in-game but I think the fix meant that creakings can be nametagged if the player spawns them using a creaking heart they've collected, but not if they spawned naturally in the wild.
the hand animation thing is actually insanly good because now we can do item animation by updating custommodel data without it bobbing up and down
I would really like them to give the sniffer a new seed that let us spawn our own pale garden biome
I want more sniffer seeds in general.
@connor8292 agreed, this just seems like an easy way to add one that would also be functional
6:33 this was the first time I was whatching a bug, bc its hindered one of my data packs, so when I got the message that it was assigned (to SlicedLime) and then fixed, I couldn't wait for 1.20.4pre1 to come out🎉
Wish they would’ve let you keep Creakings from depsawning in order to harness the sight powers
All they need to do to make this update a 10/10 is make it so you can dye the pale wood so that we can finally get painted plank variants.
With each such addition, the function of creating custom blocks via datapack looks more and more realistic
4:18 that would be cool, team colored netherite armor? But we had something similar before with trims.
Hi Xisuma! 😊
Honestly when you think about it the rabbit thing helped a lot with people getting bundles.. maybe that was secretly temporarily done to get more people trying them.. 1:12
I think there was some rules changes behind the scenes, particularly with regards to Iron Golem spawning with villagers
if A Minecraft movie is good enough for a sequal, i hope they name is B Minecraft movie
i was thinking last night "wonder when the winter drop will be coming out" and while we still don't now, at least we are one step closer!
I guess the team based colors will be really handy for MCC especially
Mattel does something similar with the attractions for Playmobil. It’s just an interactive area for children, it’s ok but usually nothing groundbreaking.
regarding the minecraft themed attractions.
I was at liseberg in sweden last month, they had minecraft dungeons on an arcade machine. not sure if that's common knowledge that it exists but.yupp. its there.
I don't think this is one of those attractions, they have a Minecraft dungeon arcade machine in my small city of 60,000 people
3:12 Daisy the rabbit still hits hard doesn’t it, an innocent life lost
Pre-release the Creaking's almost here and maybe new irl stuff in the UK in a few years yay!!!
Fun fact, Mumbo’s actually in the “Exclusive Insights” video :D
It may finally find a decent use in a few updates/years. For now, it shall just take up inventory space like every other useless item
3:12 Daisy the rabbit still hits hard doesn’t it
I still think they need to make it so that the creaking doesn't despawn if like a wide enough area is Darkness or doesn't have sunlight because as it is now you can't use them in a game or something unless it is night time
6:53 I just realised something is that WB made a LoTR anime movie they made on the bottom right on their yt channel right before they dropped the Minecraft movie official trailer.
For the Creaking name tag change, the bug was that you *could* use a name tag even though you aren't supposed to be able to, and the reason it said "again" is because that same bug existed and was fixed before, then it broke again.
As a child, I yearned for the mines.. ⛏💎
This is pretty good as snapshots go; they're making it so modular, it's gonna be wild!
The next Minecraft movie should be called Bee Minecraft Movie and it’s the bee movie starring Jerry Seinfeld but in the Minecraft theme
3:16 gay paper?
Absolute God of Hyperdeath paper
the syrup bricks or whatever its called is like the shovelware equivelant of game updates
I wonder if Merlin already having the license for Lego theme parks would let them do Lego Minecraft areas.
Since Pre-release 1 was released today for the Creaking and Pale Garden drop, Im just gonna go ahead and say the Pale Garden and Creaking will be officially released on Tuesday, December 3rd, or Tuesday, December 10th. One of those days is the release date for the Pale Garden and Creaking
item tints is crazy, map makers are gonna go wild with all these commands
A Minecraft theme park? Scar will be ecstatic!
At best it’s being used for custom items in datapacks and at worst it’s being used by a friend in a cheap-enabled world to prank you, who does it actually hurt?
you're friends with misode? i love using their datapack generator stuff
“Failed to miss” would mean that you covered it
I wish they simply added the possibility of adding any rgb color tint to items instead of having to mess with teams which only have 16 colors :(
Anyone else notice in the second preview how the old guy chasing young Steve away kinda looks like genericB
Aww man, that title and thumbnail made me think they were suddenly adding Enchantment glints, like Quark added.
Aw, the tint isn't as cool as I thought it would be.
I was hoping it would be a command NBT that allowed you to change the color of individual items :(
The cooked chicken farm thoght bro! haha
The new wood blocks would be really cool if they'd actually be white, rather than very light pink. I don't know what they were thinking advertising it as a white block when it's not. I also don't understand how the wood had to be pink when it's growing in a completely desaturated biome. People where are asking for white wood they said so they could have white picket fences (and other things) - and they gave them light pink wood calling it white 🤦♂️
please mojang, next update has gotta be data driven custom blocks, it is the one thing I really really want in this game lol
5:45 Thats the bug, which means that the correct behavior is not being able to be nametagged.
Cub will be so happy about the rabbits!
0:52 "Oh, Ashley."
One thing I'm thinking about. The team color thing, will it work on a single player world? If so, I wonder if it's possible to use on normal blocks that doesn't already have color variants, like dirt, wood, diorite etc. If that's the case, then there will be so many more options for building.
If we could tint placed blocks with any of the dye colours like we can with items, I would be so happy.
That gold tinted paper made me hungry for a grilled cheese.
5:48 The wording is a little unclear, in the last snapshot, creakings were able to be nametagged when they weren't supposed to. In this version, they cannot be nametagged.
The reason they cannot be nametagged is because they'll despawn when it comes daytime anyways and then you just lose your nametag
i was waiting for this video!
Can we rename items in color yet for Java minecraft?
Yea, for many years now
@@xisumavoid Thanks for replying! Can you do it without a command block though? I know on Bedrock you can do it in an Anvil.
I'm excited for the Minecraft movie
a bit before Christmas, as always
they gotta capitalize on those christmas sales. Also why the next update will be right before the summer. They know how to double dip for max cha ching cash money skrilla
The article I saw to learn about the entertainment parks said the estimated time of completed construction was from 2026 and 20277. I just thought that was funny
aw man I tought they added a new tint item to tint items in game because of the thumbnail
