I've been digging/collecting since 69. this is the most complete and impressive poison collection I have ever seen. Especially the crossbones in their entirety. Saw so many variants i didn't know exist. thank you for sharing!

Back in 1975/76 I owned a large triangular, cobalt poison, blown in mold, covered in knobs, that was at least’ 10 - 12” in size! Poison collectors swore no other existed! I believe it was found in the woods behind an old druggist in Malvern, Pa. traded my lunch for it! :) It had a pin head hole in a side shoulder, one knob broken. If I handed it to you, you couldn’t find it If I paid you! I sold it in trade for $300.00 worth of bottles. To Charlie Jacobs of Deleware ! Eventually he sold it to s collector who handed him a blank check! He never told me what he got! But I later heard 4 grand! ( around 1986 )!
I dug a cobalt blue coffin about a year ago, but it couldn't ever measure up to the most awesome collection of poison's you just showed. Thanks for the tour. If you had to choose, not that I could ever remember what I saw, but is there a poison that is so rare that only a hand full have ever been found? Also were Demi-Johns ever poison's? You also showed towards the end and I think you said you'd never seen another one. Did you write all over it or did you find it that way. New to the hobby, so I'm curios. Thanks again
Hello and thank you for your comment. I would guess poisonous fluids could have been put in demi-johns but they obviously dont have any marking on the bottle to indicate a poisonous substance. The bottle with the writing on the embossing ( which I did because the embossing is very light) is the only one I have ever seen in over 20 yrs of collecting. I believe I have a couple more in different colors and sizes that even the seasoned collectors have never seen. Fortunately not many people collect German skull bottles so im able to find some really rare ones at affordable prices.
@@skullbottleguy I thought the USA was responsible for implementing the changes, the feel and look of poisons due to so many deaths. My Demi-John remark was made because when making batches for farmers and companies who used much larger quantities. To send 20 bottles just seemed odd, but I guess that was the way. Thanks again
