This song is so melancholy. Anyone who had spent any amount of time in an online community can relate to this scene in which you have to realize that it's gone, those times are gone, and the only record you have of it is your memories....
Every damn time this plays it really hits deep... Those good times of playing with your online friends in games like Minecraft, Terraria, WoW, Factorio and all other similar games. Coming back to them now and playing the game alone with same maps, worlds, saves is just not the same anymore... when all your friends moved on with their lives... it feels empty and lonely... but those cherished memories remain, of fun... of struggle and adventure and progress... It makes me feel really old and alone. At times i even find myself crying over something that is just a bunch of data on a computer... I could only imagine that if Ainz wasn't emotionally surpressed he would be crying like never before... it makes me want to give him a hug and keep him company in the new world so he can feel human from time to time.

Overlord.... Really captures how it feels to be a guild leader..... Specially when you are the last player of your massive alliance. The memories of how it once began from humble beginnings to its peak and now it's end... Just how life works, everything eventually runs it's course. Nothing is forever but everything has an end. When I first started watching it just ached my heart of all the times I was made guild leader or alliance captain. How even though I always started as the weakest of them all, I was the one leading the strongest players, the best players, THE Players. No matter what game I chose I found myself always on the captains chair leading us to grow and be the best we ever could! I made several groups, alliances, guilds, friends, family... It never does get easier... I keep saying I'm done seeing the kingdom I help build, dust away into ashes. Never forced to quit by a player but by life and time... If I die today, I die happy and remembering all the souls I have connected throughout the world, the friends I made along the way and memories I was able to create... I can do nothing but cry and be internally grateful to have been worthy of many friends praise and trust embedded to me to lead them and not waste their time.
This melancholy song reminds me of the group of friends I had in 2018, they were the best friends I've ever had, but everyone went their own way and I lost contact with everyone, I don't even know if they're alive to be honest. I still miss them today, I would like to meet them once again

if people say what it's shitty, they could be right, but the core of this madness is a waste of allies, which you were always along. Games changes people, as peoples minds. You still have an access to their avatars, but there's no people or a soul, what controls that avatar.

@@King_Of_Lolis Yes light novel is way better than anime. I don't recommend web novel because the anime doesn’t follow it. And one of the most popular character Albedo doesn’t exist in the web novel alongside many others.
