We have a wide variety of conifers in the garden and it is always inspirational to see all the different possibilities. Some of them are cultivars not out in the public, so only living in the garden.
so many memories in that garden ... it's aged better than I, lol. Some of the pathways are getting narrow. glad to see the koi still there = the site of my last demise. can you imagine knowing the name of every single one of those plants??
How long did you work at Iseli? I am sure you have seen many changes over the years. I am getting to know the garden very well and yet, there are many plants still for me to memorize. The Koi are still getting fed and seem quite content. They are always looking for a meal when I walk past. haha
I have a 5-year pin & later in life I spent another year there trying and failing to remember the names of all the plants :( only job i've ever been fired from. broke my plant heart for a long while.@@iselinursery5169
Watching these videos of this magical garden transports me to another world. I feel like a fish swimming amongst enormous coral beds. Thank you for letting me see it.
Wow! Was that a mature Cornus alternifolia 'argentea' I saw in the distance? So many impressive specimens! Nice to see the mature version of my tiny Pinus strobus 'Louie'!
Glad you enjoyed it! That tree is Acer palmatum 'Fairy Hair'. It is a very interesting japanese maple and unfortunately one we do not grow. You may be able to source it elsewhere though.
This is a national treasure. Words can’t describe 😀
That is so kind of you to say. I know this garden means a lot to the people that work here. It has a long history and is very important to us.

Great video. I have a local nursery that carries your stuff and I’ve been eyeballing the “Cobra” Weeping Norway Spruce. Cool plant
Thank you! That is a really cool plant. I have posted a couple videos of it on our instagram. We have 3 specimens in our garden.
Ohhhh I’ll have to check those out. Thank you!
