Yea when he went to 2 by using lich ability should have been tapped so people could theoretically kill him depending on the hand. An often overlooked side effect
I drive 45 minutes each way from Staten Island New York to Howell New Jersey to play at Platinum Star Games. The crowd at that place tops any lgs on the Island. I wish this whole mess was over and you payed a visit to your old stomping grounds, I would love to play in a game with you.
In testing at home, this build of my slimefoot deck fired off like a well oiled machine but I got bad rng at the store with slimetime. Was supposed to finish off folks with an ashnods altar/doubling season/parallel lives.
Wrath of God buries the creatures (destroys and cannot be regenerated). Against a Day of Judgment which does not bury the creature, regeneration would have worked.
Adam's turn 2 Survival of the Fittest (2:00) stuck around for the entire game, with an obvious result. Though there were a crap ton of combo pieces all over place in general, like the Guildmage (2:30) and multiple Cutthroats (5:10), a Phyrexian Altar (9:40) and Marath itself of course.
This is the 3rd game I've watched today where survival of the fittest has been the game-winning card. It's almost like it should be destroyed on sight and not left on the board all game.
Primal Growth puts the lands into play untapped. Just a blip in narration, but doesn't affect anything. (Although Rampant Growth does put the land into play tapped, but Dean put it in untapped). Also, didn't really affect anything, but Underrealm Lich's ability taps it when you give it indestructible, and it's first ability isn't a may (I think that was just you saying its ability triggered in different ways)
It was a shame we never saw the Slimefoot deck take off once, because that 2 land hand was super risky with a bunch of three drop and up spells. I know he had Rampant Growth, but I would have never kept it and mulled to five on this instance. Also letting a Survival stick for that long when they had the removal for it, that's a questionable line of thought right there, threat assessment is a very big deal in Commander. People need to learn this.
I have no idea why Adam wouldn't wait until the end step to ping down his rector, or at the very least until after Buried Alive was done resolving. For a moment, I thought that he was going to go grab RIP which would've made sense for the timing- but given how he was running white reanimation I was rightfully doubtful. I knew immediately that some Rec Sage variant was going to show up at the point he revealed Mirari's Wake.
Survival isn't answered for 7 turns. I'm thinking "Why aren't they dead? " Buried Alive gets played with a Muldrotha in play. I'm thinking "Why aren't they dead?"
Blood Artist triggers, maybe? Some aristocrats trigger from everyone's creatures, not just yours. Besides, it's a nice political tool, letting you give chump-blockers to players who are behind in board presence and hopefully discouraging them from messing with you in return.
11:03 actually no, Wrath of God says "they can't regenerate"
Now *THAT'S* savage. :)
Good catch!
People have gotten used to indestructible replacing regeneration and completely forgot about it.
let the man have a dream
Yea when he went to 2 by using lich ability should have been tapped so people could theoretically kill him depending on the hand. An often overlooked side effect
Using a big tutor for a land... I feel you, Dean.
That dude plays the game
Yeahhhh... feels bad. In hindsight it should have been assassins trophy for some instant speed interaction but oh well.
Cant let survival of the fittest sit on the board the entire game
12:40
"And I think."
Big flex there
i consider it a persona achievement that i had a spore frog get in for 4 total damage of the course of a game in a modern horizon draft.
Survival of the fittest going unanswered the whole game
Love Muddstah's content, but threat assesment has been abysmal for quite some time :/
Seeing a survival of the fittest cast on turn 2 still on the board at the end of the game over a dozen turns later hurts my soul.
It’s the pre-COVID handshakes for me
Vestiges of the old world, never to be seen again.

One guy plays Elvish Farmer. Another guy drops Survival of the Fittest, Taiga, and Academy Rector. I guess they forgot Rule 0.

I saw "old game" and Muldrotha and expected Evil Adam... oh, well.
I also am waiting for the return of my favorite villain in the MTG Muddstah Cinematic Universe
Oh my god and actual marath game. Awesome!
I would love to see another game with a Kambal deck
Yes, that regenerate would have worked so well against *Wrath of God*
Wrath of God buries the creatures (destroys and cannot be regenerated).
Against a Day of Judgment which does not bury the creature, regeneration would have worked.
Primal growth doesnt put them into play tapped ;)
ADAM IS BACK! Great job buddy! Much love to all the artists and creators out there, I envy your work ethics

I like Marath. I don't like to build a deck around him, but I do like his art. Thanks for the game, Mr. Goblin Noise.

I love how Zach is rocking a Morgana playmat !
Lmao I don’t think I’ve seen a single Slimefoot or Ghave deck that didn’t get land starved on this channel
A shame. Those are usually decks for which I click on the video in the first place.
Any decklists my G?
I really like that Morgana playmat. Super cute
Looking at opening hands I called Adam winning. Sucks nobody took care of the Survival of the Fittest... Like wth

thanks to your channel) thanks to you began to shoot their videos on CEDH
Not bad i liked it:)
@@РоманКасенов-я5ц thanks
Thank you so much for the amazing content.
Gotta say I feel bad for my bro Dean, but that's what you get for tapping your mana to the left >:)
I have a question how do you pick people to just play with you during your videos and stuff
It's usually whoever is around at shops.
@@MTGMuddstah where do you normally film from? I would love to be in a game at some point in my life.
@@amc6169 I live in Ottawa now, so shops around here. I haven't filmed in person at shops since March though.
@@MTGMuddstah gotcha, I live in Lima OH, so it's a bit of a drive from Ottawa the province. If for some reason I m ever in Ottawa I'll look into it.
@@amc6169 hey man! Fellow Ohian here. I am down in SE Ohio, in Logan
that mirari play must have hurt bad lmao
Hi, great content!
Deck profiles are not longer available.?
This game is sadly over two years old. The decklists are either deleted, or I can't contact the person who built them. Sorry!
really had to do many double takes during this video
Cheers
"Oh, look another Kiki-Jikki combo win." "Anyways..."
After allowing Survival of the Fittest to stick around for so long, no surprise.
I remember shaking hands.

how would a regenerate ability have been useful against wrath of God?
I think you missed a trigger from the zulaport when he sacrificed sakura tribe elder
Zulaport Cuttroat specifies "creature you control." STE, was not controlled by Zach or Dean, so there would be no trigger.
Survival isn't answered for 7 turns. I'm thinking "Why aren't they dead? "

Is there a link for the Kambal deck?
is there going to be a drawing for a kaldheim box?
Still intend to play in mtl sometimes when all that covid crap is over?
I run all 4 of these commanders in paper!
Bah, Kiki-jikki win-cons XD. I don't like em. Still Marath is an interesting commander indeed.
What is the logic of playing forbidden orchard in a two color deck
Possibly tech we didn't see in the game?
Blood Artist triggers, maybe? Some aristocrats trigger from everyone's creatures, not just yours.
Besides, it's a nice political tool, letting you give chump-blockers to players who are behind in board presence and hopefully discouraging them from messing with you in return.
Creating tokens for Blood Artist.
Is bill stupid why would you not pick sheoldred??
Yikes - Adam could've easily won this game two turns earlier and he still dominated. Poor slimefoot was way out of his depth this game
This was a good game.
No. No it wasn't.
Idk but it's always very disappointing seeing an exiting game end on an infinite combo
Cant regen from wrath.
Jersey!
Yessss marath 😍
People kept getting drained from kambal for casting creatures.
No they didn't
Bloop
jesus, talking about bringing a gun to a snowball fight. Infinite combos are booooring
Fan of the extort deck tho
bill's way to pile the lands while tapped is triggering me
@@comradecameron3726 i just hate it XD
what a boring win
So Nice 💘💘💘💘💘💘
