The OG Makarov from the original MW series is better than this years. I love MWIII one but the og was more sinister had a meaner look and his voice acting was chilling.
I’m gonna have to agree. OG Makarov is more heinous than the rebooted version. I do like how quick rebooted Makarov does the damage right after his prison break, but still OG Makarov is better.
Makarov from the old MW2/MW3 made you understand that he was the most dangerous man in the world, the one from the new MW3 seems dangerous to me but not so unstoppable, he doesn't even need the intervention of who knows how many soldiers
he made sure that Russia and the USA went to war even on American territory, he attacked Europe, practically a third world war. Makarov in the new cod is just a terrorist but not as alarming as the one in the OG MW2/MW3
I like the old Makarov simply because of his character. In reboot, he is kinda flamboyant, talks a lot and always talks in high voice. In old MW, he is almost silent. You can literally hear the coldness and confidence in his words as he talks. Even when he speaks a long line, he keeps his low voice, keeping his cool no matter when and where.
A thing about the nuclear detonation on cod 4, it also killed numerous Opfor soldiers and Arab civilians. Thats part of the reason that the Opfor in MW2 is a small insurgency instead of a proper army
The OG Makarov's motivations for this terrorism back in the classic was more nuanced, and had a lot of motive behind what's he's done. Reboot Makarov is well, meh compared to his original counterpart.
@@retardedpineapple9461 It wasn't that much more nuanced than this new Makarov. Quite frankly, it seems like they've got the same overal objective. They both hate the West. I think the OG Makarov wanted to get rid of Russia's democratic government and restore it to the rule of the Czars, so that might be one difference. Not sure exactly what his new Makarov's plans are.
From what I read, Makarov was angry at the West & the Russian government after he was accused of the atrocities in Chechnya. He was forced to discharge himself in the Army & developed a hatred for the west Apparently, he let anger to his head & did this because he cut his nose off to spite his face. He doing this over an accusation that was never proven
That makes him an anti hero. And if Makarov were real, I would serve him. Surely if he won WW3, things can’t get worse with him as the most powerful man on earth.
I understand why people like the original Makarov, but never, ever underestimate the power of the new one I'll say. Sarin gas is very dangerous, and the chemical attack was more gruesome than raining bullets in an airport. Both are just dangerous, but had they wrote MW3 story after Passenger mission, it would be better. Deleting the black box with Farah is clearly the worst writing I'll say.
@@MarkSantanaNYCThe new one soap death is just feels empty, like okay ghost care but i mean price, gaz? Feel's empty wasting his death on such bad writting
I think the most turn off scene was when Alex and Farah rescue evidence from the plane crash site, I think it is the black box you mention. But regardless, MW3 Reboot did its job just enough, I like to believe it's rather a filler for the next game to take things on huge heights, hopefully MW4 will have a huge war.
What I really wanted was to have a bad guys campaign. I really wanted to see what happens if Vladimir Makarov won WW3, & how the future would be like. Call me evil, but that’s worth seeing.
I felt like soaps death had a lot more impact and feeling too it. I could be wrong through. I figure this was a diffrent unquie varaint of the og, one. Seen like the MWlll is just a bootleg version of the og.
I love that in MWIII story, Makarov and his Konni Group is trying to blame the ULF and the US for the attacks and get the world in WW3. To be honest, the story is good even if the campaign is short and for me. I like the open combat missions.
The story wasn’t half bad however the campaign was severely rushed. 2019 modern warfare is probably the best cod in the new trilogy. Mw2 had a decent storyline to it but mw3 was too short and rushed.not saying it was bad. But I feel like the open combat missions could’ve been better. They probably should’ve done it the way halo or even crysis has done it over the years. Overall the campaign had a lot of good potential but it was rushed.
I have to disagree. The story was poorly written because a bunch of ideas were copy-pasted from the originals which resulted to a familiar charade of what the originals are. It’s the Only Easy Day was Yesterday, but roles reversed. It’s No Russian, but broke into a plane segment and a arena one. What about the others? DMZ singleplayer: Price goes full Dom Mode from Fast and Furious. The dialogue is too taticool as well. I am skeptical if soldiers or operators talk like this. Emphasis on skeptical, because to me it’s a bit cringy. Lastly the characters. Devs decided no main characters shall die and the result is the stage is too overcrowded. So Soap draws the short stick without all the struggle and companionship built by so many close-call situations illustrated in the originals. In the ild games, Soap is a newb, then rescues Price, then fights Shepard and almost dies, barely breathes in MW3, then succumbs and Price breaks down. In the reboot, pew pew oh no Soap died 1 KIA. If writers were lucid enough to write a decent story, Gaz should’ve died instead of Soap. Therefore, crowded stage, unoriginal plot, lazy DMZ missions, and unrewarding deaths killed the reboot franchise. We really wanted it to succeed, goddamnit, but the writers just had to flop.
Let’s stop this which version is better. Either way it doesn’t matter the timeline even in the new one, Makarov is straight up an evil pos that we love to hate. Everything he does is with evil intentions. This man cares for no one. As OG Shepherd put it “he’s a mad dog killer for the highest bidder.” Both are always multiple steps ahead. As everything involving him is planned out far in advance. Personally I think Makarov no matter what is the most Evil CoD villain. Considering he nuked a whole city for the hell of it pretty much. Even new Makarov is evil for wanting to use Sarin gas on his country men to start a war and honestly he probably would nuke a whole city to I bet.
This actually bugs me in mw 3 they show the camera recordings of the no russian mission with makarov's mug all over the place and yet russia doesnt investigste further and starts the war in mw 2
All of Russia will cry for war, they only needed Allen’s body and anyways war equals profits and whose to say makarov doesn’t have people in the airport security, surveillance and even the military it’s self
Same here. I just can't like OG Makarov because of this one important oversight. Sure his motives have more impact than the reboot's but that one missed opportunity is just too hard to ignore.
There's 2 things wrong with this: 1. The recordings were shown on an American news channel, and the mugshots of Makarov were from Price and his team finding out where Makarov is next. 2. There was already enough evidence for Russia to pin the blame on America. They spoke English (the "No Russian" Makarov told his men) and there was the body of one of the attackers (that's why Makarov killed Allen). Plus, having hundreds dead by the hands of a foreigner is enough to spark a war just for patriotism.
You’re misunderstanding heavily what was happening during the story. Makarov was a well known terrorist, but news headlines and reports hardly even had a photo of his face because his attacks weren’t as high profile as no russian. Your character joining his inner circle was damn near the only reason no russian happened in the first place. And even then, he’s using American weapons and equipment. (Which would heavily imply he’s backed by the C.I.A.)
