If I wanted a 200cc or bigger bike, highway touring is important. Apache 200 is great but I would rather go for the Apache 160 which is makes very close power (only 3 bhp and 2 Nm less). TVS has to provide so many features to the 200 because the 160 is close in performance and features which TVS and the public is aware of. +Bajaj does not upgrade bikes? How old are you? It is because of Bajaj features like alloy wheels, digital speedo, led lights, etc. are available in most motorcycles today. Bajaj introduced them in Pulsars over the years. Dominar D400 has been upgraded twice substantially with a ton more features and equipment. Only the Pulsars in the last 10 years have not been upgraded because I think they were working on these new platforms. Bajaj has said they will add more features in the future to these new platforms which will spawn other motorcycles.

Now They are just busy in putting smaller engine in body of bigger bikes. Those useless pulsar125 and ns 125. They took decades to develop a bike. Although n250 is a really good bike but it's still old. They haven't solved major issues like rear tyres and dual channel ABS. I have seen many people skidding rear tyre. Apache 200 is a really good machine my elder brother has one. It can cruise at 90-100 all day long. Riding modes and GTT are really useful in traffic. Dual channel ABS and radial tyre is life saving. It gives milage of 45+ in urban mode at 60-70 speed. The exhaust sound and acceleration is best in segment. BTW I own a rtr160 4v. It's smooth( most refined bike after mt15) , powerful and practical Although it's best in segment. I still regret my decision bcz I chose rtr160 4v only to get more milage but the real difference is about 5kmpl. Apache has improved much in last few years due to their R&D where Bajaj is lacking

The Pulsar's speedo error is ~9kmph so 149kmph is 140 GPS.. It can do upto 142 GPS which is the same as Gixxer SF 250.. But the Apache's error is about ~15kmph so 145kmph is actually 130kmph GPS which is the same as FZ25.. The BS3 Apache 200 used to hit 151kmph on the speedo translating to 136 GPS which was the same as the BS3 FZ25.. So its a tie between the Pulsar & Gixxer and the Apache & FZ..

i have to remind some thing that bajaj is 2 valve engine and apache a 4 valve engine so high speed for long time makes u feel that bajaj engine is feeling stress and speed on n250 over 100 kmpl makes un like lossing confidence over bike control.for featues , milage and stability go for apache.also apache has radical tyres for cornoring and dual channel abs for safety which is absent in bajaj pulsur
