Whipping feet was actually a once popular technique for humiliating and punishing prisoners and juveniles, among others. It was used by several different groups and cultures throughout history, including the Nazis, The Godfather book series, and in Saudi Arabia as a torture technique, also called bastinado. Basically the person who is being whipped is tied down and the soles of their feet are exposed and rapped repeatedly on the middle, most sensitive part of the feet with a cane, switch, or whip either in front of their peers or other prisoners as a form of public humiliation and punishment. I think Kendrick including this here was to make the analogy that he is publicly humiliating Drake in front of his peers about everything from his son to his insecurities.

My preference is for more ‘lyrical rap’ but I do still think a track sounding good is important. You can make terrible lyrics sound good over a fire beat and insane production, but it’s more difficult to appreciate a track if the beat is unlistenable - doesn’t matter how good the lyrics are. Drake on Taylor Made ”you better have a quintuple entendre on that sh*t, some sh*t I don’t even understand”
Kendrick gave him what he asked for on the whole AI/Ghost scheme and most people didn’t catch it:
    1. Joel Hale Osteen is not a real person, it’s artificial- just like Drake
    2. Kendrick took two real people and blended their names to create a fake person. Saying Drake is a culmination of all things he bites and steals from others like flows, accents, etc.. And he almost gets away with it but it’s not real, he a fake, a phony, a fraud. Just like the name, it almost sounds right but then you realize it’s not
    3. Joel Olsteen is a mega church pastor who for decades has been accused of being a false teacher, a phony, a fraud, and a con artist
    4. Haley Joel Osment played a “fake” AI person in the movie AI
    5. He specifically blended their names to create the name Joel Hale Osteen. Hale means to be “strong and vigorous”. He’s saying Drake feels like he’s strong and in good health but it’s a a façade, he’s actually week, soft and fraud
    6. Also Hale is an acronym that means “Health Adjusted Life Span”. So when he says “my sixth sense telling me to off heem” he’s telling Drake that he better readjust his life expectancy because Kendrick about to murder him. And Kendrick can already see Drakes corpse because in the movie “Sixth Sense” Haley Joel Osment can see dead people.
Kendrick murdered Drake on this and it’s not even close. There are so many other doubles and triples you didn’t catch. You got really dissect everything to truly appreciate Kendrick’s genius and the full magnitude of this diss. But this AI/Ghost scheme was the hardest thing in the entire track, it’s mind blowing 🤯

I loved the Haley Joel Osment line since yeah the AI bar is obvious and the The Sixt Sense relating to having a feeling it has been used to write. Still what I've noticed what came instantly to my mind was the most famous line from the movie aka: "I see dead people" 😂 It cannot be coincidence, so good.
There is so many witty ones tho. The ring one also as to havibg to do Drske buing Pac's ring and then did what he did, but the definition of "ringer" is just also waaaay too close to the situation 😅 Might be a stretch but I doon't knoow.
Also like the minimizing of having to aim the gun even lower being dig at the short jokes. Like yeah I'm short.. but much bigger than you as a man and an artist.
Also like the: "bring back Puff" line makes me think like puff as a sound-effect of Puff coming from thin-air and slapping him around again 😅

@FlawdTV I thought most of it sounded good. The second verse was annoying, I'll admit, and I wish Kendrick just dropped that bit, but overall I liked how the track sounded. It sounds good to me. Even the lowkey intro was cool. The bars were there though.

he is actually referring to both Joel Osteen and Haley Joel Osment. This may be deliberate: confusing Joel Osteen and Haley Joel Osment to play on the idea that he does not know who he is battling.
Joel Osteen is a famous pastor from Houston, Texas. Joel has famously been impersonated multiple times, including by AI

The show euphoria is well known for sexualizing teens as well.
