Shaun Laverty did a review on the Wild Irish Low d on the tin whistle forum few days ago on this whistle too. I've now put my DeQuerely low F on the whistle market place for sale if anyone is interested. It's a really easy blower needs hardly any air at all.
@@LowDWhistle yes towards either Kerry Busker low G or C i love the Kerry whistles. Was umming an ahing over my lowG nightingale now but i think i'll keep that one for now. There is a whistle that is about $70, made of PVC but it looks really sweet. It’s black with a nice design and it’s made in Maine. It’s a very quiet Whistle, but the holes are really close together much closer than any of my other whistles it’s made by mountain Smith in Maine. It’s the one I bring with me when I’m gonna be somewhere where other people are around and they might not want to hear me play loudly.
I like the idea of the low D made by Whistle Smith, but have not ordered one. Did you get the offset holes, and if so what do you think about it? The Whistle Smith may answer the question of hole spacing that many of our friends have. I ordered a Goldfinch that should arrive in a couple weeks, and you have tempted me to order a Whistle Smith.
I would’ve liked to see the Dixon and the wild Irish hole size comparison you held it up and mentioned how close together they were but you didn’t really show it

When you say the difference between holes are you measuring with the end of the whistles together or the fipple together?

Someone else had asked me to give some measurements. I know they won’t be exact, but I was going to do that today.
