NoiseFr3ak these are true, I myself am not that great with the rumbler so I usually just stick with my demolishers, but having a teammate or two who are good with it is a god send on higher difficulty missions.
UPDATE: The Rumbler has been fixed! The starting ammo is 2 shots and once upgraded it will have 4 shots. Also using the Bubble shield no longer causes the first grenade to detonate. These changes are the result of the latest patch for Helldivers.
Oy there a quick addition to the AC Dum Dum. Its really excels at taking down the Bug and the Iluminates Boss cause they have only medium armor. I tried it myself and hitting the Iluminates Boss in his Eye does extreme damage and for some reason it also pentrates the Armor the Bug Boss has on its back.
Everything you said about the new guns is spot on. Im loving the scorcher but it has to be used with care in close quarters as it is super lethal to yourself and team mates.

Actually, you can destroy IFV'S with the Rumbler, you just have to fire when the IFV deploys grotesques, when the cargo door at the back opens. Destroys it near instantly.

story time. I was looking to buy a game for my ps vita in shop and had my heart set on killzone. I had saw helldivers and checkect out the description andthought killzone was better. boy was i ever more wrong in my life. I wish i would have seen a video of gameplay on youtube before buying, deffinitly would have got helldivers.
Great review, and you really piqued my interest with this DLC. I've never bought a DLC for a console game before, and my first one was the Entrenched DLC, which I love. Never had a weapons DLC, but I'm gonna consider this one. Great review man!

Damn I wish Helldivers had a dlc where as I play solo a lot there should be a CPU helldiver clone that could mimic your playing stats and be of some service with you on the planets..I think that would be coolish indeed..just saying.
Same thoughts brom sometimes i want to play solo only. And i wish they make a stratagem that deploys 3 AI divers to assist you. Or just put an option where you can have a team of AI divers to help you in solo game missions.
Is the dumb dumb really not anti-armor?? I’ve seen multiple people using it, but I assumed it was stronger than you say it is. I’ve never invested in upgrading it, or using it, but it seems like it should be super useful!

The rumbler is the obliterator's big brother that can take out ANY armor, including IFV's, you just need to hit the hatch. The rumbler is best for the borgs, the avenger is best for bugs and the dum dum is best for the squids. Perks can vary in all honesty according to your playstyle. If you're running lots off offensive or defensive stratagems then strat priority is definently a good pick. I usually use the displacement field or even cardio sometimes because I can gtfo of an area and leave mobs behind wondering where the hell I went. The biggest mistake I ever see in this game is people stay in an area and just keep fighting and fighting using up ammo and AT when they can just circle around and recap the objective and put down defenses or get your barrage ready.
use the autocannon on the illuminate, since they don't pack tanks or heavy armour, mortar can be amazing I the right hands...or kill everyone in one volley If used by a noob. plasma gun, isn't bad, you can use the range to your advantage to airburst the plasma bolts. (y)

One more question, do you know if the incendiary upgrade is worth it? I figure most people would just continue to shoot until it dies so the incendiary DOT wouldn't matter...
+Bradley Jewell That's a really hard decision. Though off the top of my head I can probably narrow it down to two. Either the Demolitionist DLC or the Ranger DLC. The Demolitionist contains the REC-6 Demolisher stratagem. Which is arguably best anti-armor/anti-tank stratagems in the game. Though, you shouldn't sleep on the Ranger DLC which has the Humblebee UAV drone. When you level up the Humblebee to level 3 it can mark samples on your mini-map. This makes sample farming a breeze and can speed up the acquiring of research points. Its a hard choice but either way you're getting some really good stuff.
@@gerardorivas2811 rec 6 is good but it lacks multi target capability for obv reasons (ammo problem and has a cd and if you use it other than tanks its overkill) for solo runs go for all rounder weapons and stratagems like justice for primary and railcannon strike for your tank buster. But to be honest your way to play is much more important then what gear you're using.

I have to disagree, the Rumbler is pretty OP gun, I use it in every mission, kills all the tough targets easily and u dont even need line of sight.

It's true. And while the Dum-Dum is not much use, at least it is useful against the illuminates.

I love the Rumbler because you can use regular ammo to resupply.

Just a heads up, the Rumbler DOES have the ability to take out cyborg IFEs, you just need a well placed shot near the hatch.

The Rumbler is one of the best, if not the best, heavy weapons in the game. If you do it right you can even kill cyborg tanks with it.
