It looked to me like the camera failed to focus on your face until after you put your hand right up to it at around 4:30 It would have been great to see footage from other webcams taken at the same time, played side by side, so that we could compare their performance under the same conditions. Agreed! I wasn't super impressed until he put his hand up and it actually focused on him and the image became much less grainy and actually looked good.
I really wanted to buy this, but to me, it seems fairly blurry. That could also be from the 30fps. I would imagine getting super crisp and clear 4K you might need to step up in price range so my search continues. These videos are helpful for those who are investigating web cams so thanks for making this. I think I'll keep looking because I honestly wasn't impressed with the quality. When you were finished with the webcam part and went back to your other cam..BAM! Super crisp and clear. So I know it's not my monitor. ;) Just providing feedback man. If you can recommend any super clear webcams let me know and I'll browse your channel more now.
i mean if your gonna review it, you could of demonstrated what the zooming feature was like, its literally the only thing i was interested in lol. i think the picture was actually a bit of a let down to what i expected and the mic audio sounded robotic
Obviously for a simple video call the mic is fine. For streaming or content creation, only a condenser style mic is acceptable in all cases, so no biggie.
I just bought Depstech 4K AF UHD Webcam. It won’t come on during set up. I followed the easy steps & really want to use it. I think I got a defective product?
I, too, am pleased with the audio and video quality of this webcam, but when I go live on UA-cam the image is mirrored (flipped horizontally). Depstech has no advice to offer as to how to fix this, and I was hoping you could help. TIA
@@SHELTECH4 Thanks for replying. Tech specs are the same but look different. It's confusing as you'd expect the DW49 to be newer based on the model number but I think the DW40 is a more recent release as I sorted by release date on their website and it came up first.. 🤯
Hey! I own c920 webcam and am looking for better alternative in low light condition and picture quality. Is reviewed one is the best or could you suggest me something?
Didn't work when I plugged into my M1 MacBook Pro. Only worked on QuickTime in New Video Recording mode. The drivers did not download upon install. Is there something I'm doing wrong if so please let me know. I'm about ready to return this unit.
I am not familiar with Macs. But for laptops make sure you disable the internal webcam to use an external webcam. They maybe conflicting with each other
I just one of these for $12 bucks at bins and things. They buy pallets of stuff from Amazon. I read that this was a $50 dollar light and I paid 12 so even if I don't like it I can still sell it and make money. Same thing with this LED light I got. It's a $70 dollar light and I could easily sell it for $50.
I've been researching this camera and I think you have the best review. You kept it so that I could understand. 🤣 Now all I have to do is figure out how to hook up a mic cuz that was crap. I'll check your vids for mics. I'm mobile so it needs to travel well. 🙏✌🐜💚
How is this good when in most video your face is out of focus and the background is pin sharp. good effort but you probably should of reliased that in the review.

Is it just me, or was the cam out of focus all of the time? I Never saw the face sharp but the background was. The mic has a stange reverb.

How do you zoom in to your subject or pan tilt etc???? doesn't work for me at all.

decent sounding mic on the cam. some tweeking with the color saturation would make it far better but over all nice.

I haven't tested but it looks like just a sleeker look
So far it looks nice pretty clear. Not 4K over zoom. I’m happy with it.

Mine is horrible and the lightning it just terrible, unless I have to have a light in my face for it to be fine lol.
The image looks too overexposed so it's hard to tell if this is a good webcam. Sorry. The Razer Kiyo is way better.
Your mic sounds better, echo sound on the webcam.
The sound of the microphone lets down this webcam, not as good as Logitech Brio or the Razer Kiyo Pro, but under half their prices.
It sounds like a synthesized voice full of echo-like reverberation, not good.

Why the hell someone will need a 4K webcam? Are you sure it does not upscale 720p picture to 4k with software? Most cheap ones does this trick.
