there is a little shop at a mall in colorado springs that make crepes like this. they were absolutely delicious!!! I wish I could eat there everyday!!!
@AMilitantAgnostic i agree crepe or galette are our french fast food with bagette's "sandwich". it's not better than mac do, it depends of the taste of people. The difference is when you enter in a creperie ( crepe's restaurant) you didn't have the feeling to be in a factory, thats it...
let me tell you something fellas, as a french man. these are legit french crêpes. these are salty ones (hence the fact that they're brown and a bit burnt), you have to make them very thin, and crispy. we ad some typical fillings: ham, goat cheese (awesome), salad, grated cheese, and of course an egg. our sweet crêpes (filled with Nutella, chocolate spread) are golden, thick and fluffy, we don't cook them for such a long time. i even think we're not using the same ingredients for the batter.
@arivera3426 we do have street food, instead of crepes, we have burritos. main reason why we don't have these kinds (to be exact): it's not "American" food. It'd just be a...another copy
Probably "Gruyère" but with "Emmental" it's even better :p. We usually put a slice of ham with the cheese and the egg to make "une galette complète" (but i doubt you'll do that ^^). To prepare a gelette like that (salty crêpe) called "galette de blé noir"(buckwheat) or "galette au froment" you need water, grain of salt and wheat flour >T55 . That explain the dark color, she is not overheated at all. Cheers
@AMilitantAgnostic I had nutella crepes for dinner tonight. And yes it was MUCH better than a fake egg on a preservative filled transfat induced imitation muffin. LOL For one they're real with real ingredients, 2 you can put anything in a crepe, 3 they're just really good. I was apprehensive too until I wondered around Paris @ 5 am and the only 24 hour place I could get a drink at was a restaurant that sold them. Not wanting to look cheap I ordered one and fell in love with them.
@shechshire Depends on where you go. I personally hate hot dogs and I'm American. I live within the NYC greater metro area and so we get a lot of international influence. It would be refreshing to see a street vendor creating crepes and I know they'd definitely sell. They cook fast, relatively cheap to make and they're delicious. Most Americans actually do love crepes especially around NYC. Don't generalize all Americans please...we're not ALL from Texas and wear cowboy hats and shoot guns -.-
vrf792 commented that this crepe he ate was the best crepe he ever eaten. I guess it was a good crepe, especially since it does come from France where people are more discerning to food than some other places which i will not mention.
@DoshUnScripted So extremely true. I'm sick of people complaining about how arrogant Americans are when I see comments on here from people of other nations like Italy or France or other places in Europe making fun of Americans about how terrible we are or whatever, and yet American tourists are so enthusiastic to try foreign food or try new things. I do have french and italian friends though that are not like that so I don't want to generalize...but I'm glad I'm not the only one to recognizethis
even places like NYC has a very small k-town, j-town and so forth, you'll see entire sections of cities taken over by americans (mostly bars and clubs)
@arivera3426 well, they wanna see if the foreign country's mcdonalds is better or worse than mcdonalds in USA, but later they'll eat something different
Trust me, there are TONS of people who truly, seriously think that stuff without realizing the hypocrisy. I've seen plenty of comments just like that done completely seriously. Kudos to you though for not actually thinking like that, though.
not just most Americans my friend. Most South Asians that immigrate to the United Kingdom and most of the British people that move to Spain. Human beings are just like that. Not all of us though!
@DoshUnScripted I disagree. Most Americans will start to congregate in one area and make a "foreign town". Americans will do anything possible to keep trying to live their lives back in America. I'm an American myself with many experiences going abroad.
@TheKomakii ah ah ! Paresseux !
Apparently you've never traveled in the US. Every large city is America has a China Town, And Little Tijuana, Little Italy, The Korean district, Cuban neighborhoods. Go to Florida, or New York, and it gets worse. It's not just americans in foreign countries. It's everyone, everywhere.
trust me people with more than 200 degres celcius on the iron plate all the bacterian cannot live long and are kill, with this kind of cooking. I eat that since my childhood and im still alive withou sickness !!! ^^
I guess you guys goofing on this outta think that if one person ought to know how to make a crepe, it'd be a Frenchman! I mean, hell, you wouldn't want him telling us how to tune our Chevy v8, or play baseball, right?
Thumb up rubietheone as everyone can see his comment in first page ^^
it's not "crepe" but bretonne "galette". the difference with crepe it's not dessert but salt recipe. it's simply crepe with buckwheat flour instead classic flour, salt instead sugar, and water instead milk...
Bl quoi.
uh I think you read that wrong. You linked those terms together yourself because of a stereotype. A common stereotype of the US is that we live in texas, wear cowboy hats and shoot guns due to the popularity of western movies and other factors. You can't seriously think I'd end that statement with an actual blatant generalization do you?

Wow that guy sure was generous with the cheese! Maybe because the camera was on him? Makes me hungryyyy
Probably "Gruyère" but with "Emmental" it's even better :p. We usually put a slice of ham with the cheese and the egg to make "une galette complète" (but i doubt you'll do that ^^). it's really cool that in France crepes can be served salty (not-sweet).
@shechshire Depends on where you go. I personally hate hot dogs and I'm American. I live within the NYC greater metro area and so we get a lot of international influence. Hi, what's that you're using in the beginning of this video? The lubricant thing?
Agree + you look nice in your picture.
is this like breakfast crepes? and do they have more fillings then just this like nutella or etc
magic hands! great job !
they look great :)
The reason why the crêpe is brown is because it's more of a galette, which is made from buckwheat flour. It's not brown because it burned..
@Radjehuty there are street vendors down by a shopping center here in maryland. I was surprised to see them.
Great vid!

Mmm savoury crepes... But after trying it I still think the dessert ones are better
even places like NYC has a very small k-town, j-town and so forth, you'll see entire sections of cities taken over by americans (mostly bars and clubs)
@arivera3426 well, they wanna see if the foreign country's mcdonalds is better or worse than mcdonalds in USA, but later they'll eat something different
Oui. Et avec du beurre!
Okay, I'm ignoring the argument. They make crepes like this in Montreal too!
@M3anbone I'm gonna tell 'em to pay close attention to how the Chinese do it and take plenty of notes.
theres a resturant in my town were they do the exact same thing and i think the guy is from france
Awesome.
Trust me, there are TONS of people who truly, seriously think that stuff without realizing the hypocrisy. I've seen plenty of comments just like that done completely seriously. Kudos to you though for not actually thinking like that, though.
It's Postcard from Heaven by Lighthouse Family!
crepes are just pancakes but way thiner you can have any ingridient you want but must have the basic
Crepes are awesome. If your in So Cal, crepes from the Crepe'n Around food truck are much better than the Crepes Bonaparte food truck.
This looks more like a 'How To Abuse A Crepe' video.
the only thing I don't like they just use their hands just like that no gloves nothing that's why is so good to live in america
Galette...Crepe...it doesn't matter, as long as it is tasty in it's own way.
not just most Americans my friend. Most South Asians that immigrate to the United Kingdom and most of the British people that move to Spain. Human beings are just like that. Not all of us though!
No, actually they tasted delicious. The best crepe I ever had.
anyone know where to buy that MAGNIFICENT TOOL / instrument to make the crepe???? I WANT IT!
+Fabulous Amazon.
You are quite right. American TOURISTS are. But that is some heavy selection bias going on there. They are definitely not your average American.
@arivera3426 thats not street food. street food is like hot dog stands n stuff like that. thats clearly a little store.
this must be ridiculously tasty
i dont know what all this arguin is about on here but that crepe look fuckin delicious
what cheese does he use?
Recipe for crepes?? Who's got some good ones!! cheers
@DoshUnScripted I disagree. Most Americans will start to congregate in one area and make a "foreign town". Americans will do anything possible to keep trying to live their lives back in America. I'm an American myself with many experiences going abroad.
I agree, this is a Galette.
yo guys, chill. eat some crepes, maybe you're just hungry, like a little child gets all cranky when he's hungry ;)
Does anyone know what type of cheese he used?
Ouhaa nice and pro,my recipe is home made crèpes for family, i like ur too, thx
When I saw the egg, I wondered if he was really European and then I saw him take out cheese and I thought 'Nevermind. He's European…'
@TheKomakii ah ah ! Paresseux ! XD
Upvote this. It's not a crepes. Although I don't know the translation to galette.
whoa super thanks for the reply mate.
lol he must have asked for extra CHEESE !!!
That is so true
Japanese crepes look yumyer
You obviously know how to make French Crepes. I know how to make Swedish Crepes! Check out the latest episode of my online cooking show.
It would probably be too expensive make them either and most americans would rather have a hot dog anyway.
qe hermoso, quisiera vivir en paris u.u
i agree with you
CREPE is a french word. dont want to be rude but yeah that say's it all.
yo tambien !!
@arivera3426 LOL that might be true if we were in a country that sold things like snails!!! Oh wait...
i'd eat the whole thing in seconds!
I'm with you! way overcooked..and kind of abused actually! ;)
trust me people with more than 200 degres celcius on the iron plate all the bacterian cannot live long and are kill, with this kind of cooking.
I eat that since my childhood and im still alive withou sickness !!! ^^
YUM!
@arivera3426 nyc has a lot of great street vendors :)
Those aren't crepes, they're fortune cookies now. T.T
Wow!!!! *_*
@Matrix5060 depends how hot tthe pan was?
that's why they look like "too burn crepe", because it's NOT "CREPE" but "GALETTE" ... :) .(a "breton", i know something about crèpe and galette.....)

mm... evertything please on my crepes, sir, with a side of bison meat and milk. Will do me greatly for a whole day walking around paris
why did vrf792 title the video "Real French Crepes"? i mean, don't put "real", it's a kind of offensive to other crepe vendors, in my opinion
@Matrix5060 if they tasted like shoe leather, he'd already be fired wouldn't he?
You are welcome, It just 8 months late :D
i wanna taste it..
Thumb up rubietheone as everyone can see his comment in first page ^^
@carlosarmercado At the Rio Washingtonian Center. Yerp.
I would have turned the crepe shell a little bit sooner, but then again, Im American, what the (*#%&*) do I know?
This is a Galette, not a crèpe. Because crepe is sugary and Galette salt.
it's not "crepe" but bretonne "galette". the difference with crepe it's not dessert but salt recipe. it's simply crepe with buckwheat flour instead classic flour, salt instead sugar, and water instead milk...
@THEBOB566974 I know, it does
This is not the real french crepe. The real one is done in Brittany, France.
he puts too much batter, the crepe is really too thick.
Doney Hon no need to be rude...
Bl quoi.
