Creative South is a network of some of Africa’s most innovative creative hubs. Creative South exists to support alternative narratives, to grow new audiences, to amplify co-learning between hubs and to build new touring networks in the region. Members of Creative South include Moto Republik(Hre), Mafalala Museu(Moz), Anima (Moz), Modzi Arts(Zam), Gilbert’s House(Bots) and Creatives Garage(Kenya).
The 4 Pillars that guide us are:
Incubating alternative narratives, marginalised voices & free expression
Building regional touring networks of mentorship, co-learning & co-creation
Growing new audiences & new creative knowledge systems in Africa
Supporting the growth of resilient and innovative regional creative industries
