I am a small woman but had nine plus babies. My doctor said my condition was tied to having three large babies, hard labor, lots of stitches and pelvic floor dysfunction that resulted later in life. I did not begin seeing problems until my late 60's (Muscle damage occurs in the rectum.) My episodes are infrequent, so I am going to explore pelvic floor therapy before considering a sacral nerve stimulator or any kind of surgery to fix the damaged muscle.
Yes it happened to me a baby getting stuck then pulled out by forceps cause tear and damage to nerves in my sphincter muscles with lead to incontinence
What about having it everyday.....
Thank you
Does giving birth cause this problem? Just wondering.

Yes & forceps as I did
what about men?
@123bridel : Men also have pelvic floor damage, and they have even lower rates of diagnosis and treatment than women.
What about taking hormones to treat this condition? does an anal fissure cause this?
