I've been watching this movie for years, and I never understood why they show the stop sign. Is the director emphasizing the 'don't stop in the hood' aspect?
I can Still remember sitting in the theatre when this flic Premiered, I was 24yrs old. The Cube Getbac at the end was bananas. The audience in the theatre was like "YEEEEAHH!!"
That opening scene gets me every time if I didn't learn anything I learned that increase the peace ✌️ at all cost the great message from the goat John Singleton more power to positive great messages and then some peace unto All
using 2022 numbers it's 1 out of every 2000 nowadays, the young generation cannot even fathom how dangerous it was back in the 80s and 90s, those were some rough times.

That opening title was intense as hell. John Singleton was holding nothing back from the jump
No he wasn't, not at all.

I agree with everything that you said wholeheartedly.
This was ranked 60th of all time....Happy Gillmore was ranked 39th.

I absolutely love that zoom in of the stop sign. That speaks for itself.

That would make you about the same age as the director
How sad is that, that poor little kid's voice you hear in the beginning saying they shot his brother😢😭🙏🙏🙏
This opening title sequence literally foreshadowed what happened to doughboys brother.
You mean sister
@@NaimAugustinYT Ricky is a man
That was real, wasn’t it?
@@joewhitehead3 not sure, but it was very sad 😢

0:33 - If you've heard of the trope called "anvilicious," this is the hardest anvil you will ever see dropped.

God knows about these type of things
What gun did they use? I wanna say uzi but it almost sounded like an AK.
Uzi 9mm with Extended clip
Definitely a uzi or some sub
Rate of fire is too fast for an AK.
Imagine if this came out today 😮
What a movie but let's be honest it's what really happens in the hood
One in every 21 !!!! What hell is it now!!!! !
It was worse back then
It's 1 out of every 5 now days ....
