I can’t think of a better front man since Hutch went. Combination of Mick Jagger and Jim Morrison: strutting, magnetic, magnificent. Shabooh Shoobah is my favourite INXS album. Not a duff song on it.
best INXS show I've seen, nothing is like a band when they're still fresh raw hungry, as this performance well shows, this is the best time.........before they become commercialized, and jaded..........shabooh shoobah one of if not their best albums, and vinyl still rules
MrUmlauterschweiger, YES they gained a LOT of new fans at their first US shows. Like me! ❤️ I saw them at the same time as this show, a couple weeks on either side is the closest I can peg down the date. My friends and I hadn't heard of them before and I assume no one else in the audience had either. (We said, "INKS? Who the fuck is INKS? Lol) They opened for Adam Ant. It must have been painful for Mr. Ant to have to follow Michael Hutchence every night and I'm pretty sure he came to regret that pairing! I bought Shabooh Shoobah the next day and wore the grooves off that album. Before or after, I've never been more wowed by a "new" band (new to me, the audience, the US). As an aside, Cheap Trick wins my 2nd place. I saw them open for Foreigner in 1978 and it was no contest. Cheap Trick blew Foreigner away almost as spectacularly as INXS blew away Adam Ant. Almost, but not quite.
Michael Hutchence is like Michael Jackson, with elegance, grace, and poise, the way he effortlessly 'moves' 'glides' 'floats' from one place to another, people have said mike copied off mick jagger and jim Morrison, I think thats baloney, whether he did or not, still, each person does a move, etc. in their own way, and its uniquely them. Michael is totally enjoyable to me in the way he moves, sings, regardless of who else it may look like........but the greatest frontman, not for his singing, but for stage theatrics, etc. and more, is David Lee Roth :)
@@sharon21382 and the teeth that she did have were ratched. She got veneers when they became a couple. I wonder if he said something to her about her teeth.
as Todd Strandberg said "he had brain damage." I don't think his end was caused by Paula but more likely the brain damage that happened before he met her.
because INXS broke in the States before the UK, it's cool as a fan of their mid-era stuff to be discovering these gems. this is the band at their best in my opinion, such a high energy performance, and superior versions of the album tracks from Shabooh Shoobah. they went on to achieve excess success in the 90s but their music became fairly bland imo. this era showcases their writing talents and willingness to try any kind of music.
40 years ago today..Man I miss the 80’s
Mega banda... vocês fazem muita falta...bons tempos que não voltam mais...fico aqui só na saudade ❤❤🥰🥰
never a better front man with so much talent and appeal.
Wow!! Amazing! He danced sooooo punkish! Full of passion!! Just Wow!!
Best dance moves ever!

INXS...amazing talented musicians...Hutch..."The loved One",incredible charismatic frontman!

The best i have seen. Hope all INXS fans see this concert. Was before the bump m on the head and that women destroyed this genius.
Sure did he deserved better!.....
Which woman? Paula you mean? I have no idea, just ask:)

INXS was never jaded r commercialized. They were great until the end.

Que energia boa. Eles eram livres, autênticos, envolventes.Todos maravilhosos e a voz de Michael é de assustar.....Mexe dentro da gente.
amazing show, and thank you for sharing.
Don't Change the last song. I wish Michael never changed.

Just right at the beginning of greatness.
wow! so cool.. they were great, Michael so talented! Miss those years!
A different time for sure..still joy in sexiness. Not now. It's patrolled.
Is that a hundred out of 10 or what. The best band ever.
This show beats the crap out of Wembley. Still young and fresh
Wembley bigger stage duhh
God bless Michael Hutchins I hope he's in peace whoever had a really cool words 4 his songs I thought at the time is it better singer in Mick Jagger

Fuck yeah!
Nothing like Michael Jackson
David lee Roth? Don’t think so ugh 🤮
When Michael was young and happy.
Then he met THAT THING and the slide started.
You could have had any women in the world and you chose her
WHY?
Fate??? Choice??? God Only Knows..
Anne Shaw ~And she was missing some teeth‼️

これから14年後に亡くなるなんて。本当にいシンガーだった。
Yanks never saw anything like Michael in 83.
Took them a while to wake up.
Actually I saw them open for The Gogo's in '84 on the Swing tour just outside of NY.
I was living near Perkins Palce in 83'. Never heard of them until the 90's, then thought Inxs was pro nounced "inks" . Lol
What are you on about, Anne Shaw??

This band could have been better than The Clash .... Shame really
Michael was such a beautiful, beautiful creature. He is deeply missed…
Shame of the “Graphic advertising” over such an “Epic” “talented” “”amazing live performance” “unique” 70s,80,90, Rock band 🎸 ❤
Wembley doesn't rate next to this
