Thank you for this, Polo. Interesting fact, the Book of Jude, which IS in the Bible, directly quotes The Book of Enoch. So, it had to be of some relevance, For Jude to quote it.
I have been reading the Bible off and on for about 30+ years. I was raised Catholic and at a very young age realized very little time was spent reading from this huge book of what was supposed to be God’s word. I asked questions and was told I was not supposed to understand everything written in this book and faith alone was enough. Huh? Who writes a book you don’t have to read? Made no sense to me. I tried reading it by myself but unless you have a good grasp of Aramaic, Greek and Hebrew it is near impossible to understand. Someone finally turned me on to The Shepherd’s Chapel where the pastor starts from Genesis and goes all the way thru Revelation reading every verse and explaining it. I was beyond skeptical when I began but after awhile things started to make sense to me and I have never looked back. I am not saying any of this to promote The Shepherd’s Chapel. Just thought I would toss it out there because some of what was spoken about in the book of Enoch is in the Bible. It is fascinating to me. Not trying to offend the atheists!!
My husband was raised a Catholic as well. His whole family is. He strayed because he didn't understand why they went against their own teachings. Years later, after we got married and had kids, we tried again in a Christian church. We enjoyed it. Our kids were learning, too. My husband had some important questions about the Bible, asked our pastor, and he said he'd come by our house that night. NEVER heard from him again. EVER. We called, went by and all that. He would not see us. That was it. We believe in God, Jesus, and most things but we don't feel we need organized religion to bring us closer to Him. Sometimes that's worse.
@@sarahdixon1943 Faith in God is deeply personal and I am not at all an organized religion type of person either. Organized religion has a huge problem of too many humans sticking their own opinions and desires into God's Word and twisting it to their liking. All I wanted was to know what the Bible said and to UNDERSTAND what was written. Never found it in a church and am appalled at how many teach you don't need to know what it says which I largely believe is because they don't have a clue either. I stumbled on The Shepherd's Chapel in the most bizarre way ever (certainly nothing close to a miracle) and although skeptical at first, it made sense. Again, I am promoting nothing. Everybody has to find their own way. I am so incredibly grateful that I did.
Thank you, Polo, for sharing this information. I agree with you that there are books written that have been removed from scriptures for whatever reason. If you carefully read the Bible, there are many mentions of different books of the Bible. It specifically says "you can find this in the book of..." Bless you for stepping into the light to share this. I have often thought about reading the book of Enoch. I would like to see for myself what it says. After all, Enoch "walked with God". Can't get closer than that to truth.
There is a podcast called Lord of Spirits that is hosted by two Orthodox Christian Priests, they explain some background of the books of Enoch (there are actually 3), they ho back and really explain stuff. Start from the first episode and go on from there. The first three or four episodes have glitches but persevere and they get new studio equipment.
I have an Apocrypha and the Book of Enoch is included. If you have any interest in the Bible this is a fascinating read! I find something new in it nearly every time I read it. Nothing contradicts what the Bible teaches it just sort of fills in the blanks.

There are other ancient texts that predate the Bible that it is based on. The Sumerian Eridu Genesis, the Babylonian Enuma elish, and the Akkadian Atra hasis. The Eridu Genesis contains the Epic of Gilgamesh, which has a flood story almost identical to Noah’s, but predates it by millennia. The Sumerian Tablets weren’t discovered until the 1840’s in the ancient Mesopotamian city of Uruk in modern day Iraq. Gilgamesh was a half human half god King of that city state and stood 17 feet tall. His father was human and his mother was an Annunaki goddess, his father preceded him as King of Uruk. Genesis in the Old Testament is a mythology of the creation of the Hebrew Nation and according to scholars is mistranslated from the original Hebrew, starting with the very first verse.
The book of Enoch was dismissed as uninspired by God by the early church because it pushed doctrines by a group called the gnostics. This group was centered in Alexandria and spread from there. The apostle John specifically wrote 1 John to counter gnostic heretical doctrine. So was Paul’s letter to the Colossians. Edited to add: the gospel of Thomas is another gnostic book. There were no full copies that were in common circulation in the churches after the 4th century until a full copy was found when an entire gnostic library was discovered in Egypt and an archaeological dig extracted it, along with other writings.
In the first century they used vellum instead of papyrus. Vellum is very thin sheep skin that acts like paper, papyrus is paper made from reeds. They used vellum for scrolls that were rolled on wood dowels. It was how it was done back then.
I watch the show ANCIENT ALIENS, and Erich Von Daniken appears often and mentions the book of Enoch many times in the episodes. He wrote “ chariots of the gods”. A must read!
I mean, if you're into things like the Weekly World News and the National Enquirer it's a funny read, but it's 100% pseudoscience and bullshit whose whole premise is that people back then were dumb when we have plenty of evidence that they were not. It's also kind of hard to ignore the fact that it paints mainly POC (Egyptians, South Americans, Asians & Japanese) as needing help from aliens to make discoveries in science, but for some reason the Greeks and Europeans mostly get a pass. If you do decide to read it, I suggest following it up with Frauds, Myths, and Mysteries by Kenneth Feder that shows how Däniken manipulated and omitted evidence to support his claims.
We think of the "Four Gospels". There were originally 6. There are also the Gospel of Mary and the Gospel of Judas. "The Apocrypha" are very interesting reads.
Those "gospels" are called the "Gnostic Gospels" for a reason, and they aren't taken as historically accurate by scholarship. They were written hundreds of years after the historical events of the 4 canonical Gospels, and (obviously) not written by eye witnesses, as the canonical 4 are (minus Mark and Luke, who weren't original Apostles of Christ, but who I think probably got their accounts from others who were eyewitnesses).
@@Chupie77777 Just like Enoch, the church just threw away the teachings that did not bring them more power or money. Kinda interesting that Pope John Paul ll was the FIRST non- Italian person to be pope in 455 YEARS. I guess God only speaks Italian? Corruption, power, and money. That is "The Church".
@@greggwilliamson I'm not Roman Catholic, or Eastern Orthodox, and I don't attend a mega church or anything like that. What teachings in the canonical scriptures can you show me that support power and money to the church? "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." - James 1:27 "Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." - 1 Timothy 6:9-10 "But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping." - 2 Peter 2:1-3 "Jesus called them together and said, 'You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'" - Mark 10:42-45 I don't care about denomination, as long as you obey Christ. There have been power plays and lots of corrupted teachings in the church, but that doesn't say anything about the truth of scripture. And all 12 of the Apostles were brutally tortured, and 11 of them Martyred for the Name of Christ. Anyone who wants to live a Godly life will be persecuted. The scriptures, even the 66 canonical books we have today, are full of warnings against seeking power and greed, and they are full of teachings about humility, love, self-control, and self-sacrificial love (even to our enemies). Jesus didn't seek money; He was basically homeless. He didn't seek women or to manipulate anyone. You can't find anything in scripture where anyone is taught to manipulate anyone else (but you can find teachings against it). So, with all that said, where in scripture does it support the idea that the church is to seek power, control, and wealth?
Over 600 books of the Bible were 'censored' by the Catholic Church at the First Council of Nicaea (now Iznik, Turkey) in 325 AD. Some of the books survived, and are incorporated into modern Bibles as The Apocrypha, and appear between the Old and New Testaments. The church threw out any book that did not illuminate Jesus as a divine being. One book was destroyed completely as it detailed Jesus beating a man to death, but copies survive in Ethiopia.
There are "missing holes" in the bible because it's a botched patchwork of the older Sumerian stories that the Hebrews plagiarized, and altered to be about one deity rather than the many "mighty ones" in the original story. The original stories aren't convoluted, and are easy to understand whereas the bible is the opposite. It's because the Hebrews stole those stories, and attempted to change them while still keeping it congruent, but failed. That's why there's so many holes and contradictions. It's a lie.
@@Chupie77777 The evidence is the Sumerian stories themselves. They exist, you know, and you can in fact read them. They were translated from cuneiform a long time ago. It's very easy to tell which story came first.
I have a book with all the "lost books of the Bible" in it. I bought one for myself and my Mom. Though I do believe there's some truth in the Bible, I also believe it was changed soo many times by men and then the church to fit their "wants" that it's very different than it was supposed to be. Reading the lost books kind of makes it make some sense, but it's the Bible, so much doesn't make sense.
I’ve read this book, or the English version of it, and the book of Jubilees. It’s all good information and to be taken in context of whatever youre into. The bible is only man’s idea of what books it should contain. ..O yeah if anyone does read make sure to use cross references because the English translations tend to stray or be wrong 😑
Yep, showed this to the Fairys at the bottom of my garden they nearly died Laughing the fairy queen commented pull the other leg it plays jingle bells.
As a secular humanist and an atheist, I love studying ancient Near East religions and mythology. I know these ancient stories were shared by oral tradition and many stories in the Bible are identical to earlier mythological stories with only the names changed. It's interesting to study how in every country, man told stories of gods, angels, demons, and giants to explain the things in the natural world which they did not understand. For example, Zeus threw lightning bolts and Neptune was the god of the sea. Man created many gods to explain natural phenomena. I respect everyone's right to believe in whatever they choose.
There are several stories in the Bible that says that spirit creatures, angels, took on physical bodies; the two visitors who visited Lot & Jesus himself come to mind. These people (visitors, angels, whatever you want to call them) did many physical things that people do; eat, drink, sweat, bleed, feel love or pain. If they had all of these abilities, I don't think it is at all unreasonable to think they had the ability to have sexual relations & procreate.

I frikkin hate that they’re trying to portray Enoch in this freakish light and as a horror story. And they mix in lies, too. The Book of Enoch was not banned or hidden. It was rejected as Canon by some Churches, fell out of theological fashion, and nobody in the different churches (other than the Ethiopian Church) was making copies. I’m not a Book of Enoch fan, I’m not a member of the Ethiopian Christian Church, but I care about truth, accuracy, and presenting material in a non hysterical way. I find the video to be disgusting.

Fascinating so thanks for bringing the video up for us to delve deeper. The mention of Giants is interesting because several recent archeological digs have unearthed oversized structures that had to be created by and for much bigger species than humans. I’m not religious but can see we certainly appear to be in a rush to destroy this beautiful planet so stand by for Armageddon!
So you’re saying Stonehenge was a set of tables and chairs? Don’t confuse real archaeology with BS pseudoscience that poses as archaeology. There is absolutely no archaeological evidence of giants, of lost advanced civilizations, or of ancient aliens. You go down this road, and you’ll be believing that the earth is flat eventually. Real archaeology is fascinating enough without adding all the pseudoscientific crap. Take the time to learn the real thing and its real controversies and mysteries.
Don’t fret polo. The Early Church spent decades/centuries researching what was the actual Inspired Word of God; what was essentially solemn folk tales; and what was flat-out garbage. The Book of Enoch isn’t in canon for a reason. Also, please keep in mind that this particular video is very one sided. Have a great one, amigo!
I just cant get down with Christianity because i have researched biblical history too much. The bible you read today is NOT even close to the original. Some is classic misinterpreting. Some was control of the catholic church. Some of it was changed or left out completely with each revision. Dont get me wrong, it gives good morals and concepts to follow (most of the time). But to me, thats about it. Just a nice book.
There was no Bible 2000 years ago….. it was collected from writings over, if I’m not mistaken , several hundred years. So the title kind of gives away the fact that it’s a nonsense social media bait.
There was no singular book called the Bible, but even in 2 Peter 3, which is a letter written by Peter, he tells the believers that some things in Paul's letters are hard to understand, and that ignorant people distort them to their own destruction, as they do with "the other scriptures." So there seems to have been an understanding of what was considered God breathed scripture, and what wasn't.
I was taught that the Bible was created when the Romans adopted Christianity as the state religion. At that time, they decided what religious writings would be included or excluded.
367 AD: Bishop Athanasius of Alexandria listed the 27 books of the New Testament in his 39th Festal Letter. 393 AD: The Council of Hippo (N. Africa) canonized the 27 books of the New Testament. 397 and 419 AD: The Council of Carthage (N. Africa affirmed the canonization of the New Testament. Many think it was Constantine and the Council of Nicaea, 325 AD (Turkey), but that had nothing to do with the books of the Bible. It was purely about the nature of Christ (the Arian and Apollinarian heresies), the Nicaean Creed and the date of Easter. {:o:O:}

Sort of. The OT was written before, of course. So I suppose we are talking about the New Testament. The books of the New Testament were written around 100 AD - 200 AD (or CE if you want to be more scholarly). The Gospels were written AFTER all the letters from Paul. What you might be thinking of is the council of Nicaea (325 AD). Many people think they determined which writings to put in the Bible, but it’s incorrect. The main purpose of the council was to determine the whole Trinity thing-the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost. Other theological/doctrinal issues were also resolved, the date of Easter was fixed so that it wasn’t tied to the Jewish Passover, stuff like that. The main proof that the Council of Nicaea didn’t “decide which books are in the Bible” is that there isn’t one single agreed upon Bible among the various branches of Christianity. The Council was ecumenical, meaning representatives of the various branches were participants. That state of affairs continues to this day. There is not a single version of the Bible accepted universally by all Christian faiths. Not all books in some the Bibles of some faiths are accepted by the other faiths. But anyway, the Bible isn’t 2000 years old, either. It’s probably around 1800 - 1850 years old.
@MarcosElMalo2 I don't know how you think the writings that appear in the Bible (yes, new testimate) were selected. There is little doubt that when the Romans nationalized the religion that they brought their love of bureaucracy and order with them. The fact that they didn't eradicate all other beliefs is probably related to the long-standing polytheism of their culture. They were, however, entrenched bureaucracts and brought the 'one and only' to Christianity. It preserved the faith through the Middle Ages, but it brought the downfall of the individual's direct access to God. I agree that the Bible and catholicism are not synonymous. Yet, in terms of modern culture, they are. Without the Catholic church providing a consistent message through the centuries, there is little chance that there would be any kind of Christian church. I am going to have to drop out here, however, as I promised my friend who died yesterday that I would quit drinking and texting. I'll check back though as I am interested in where this is going.
The Book of Enoch is in the Ethiopian Bible. The Bible you read only contains the books that the early bishops of the Roman Catholic Church decided to include in it. There were over 80 books that were considered for inclusion, and they eliminated most of them because they were not considered appropriate for what those bishops wanted their version of Christianity to be! Christ’s Divinity wasn’t even decided until Constantine had the Bishops vote on it at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Thus we have the Nicene Creed!
Who has to validate it? Last I heard they estimated the Bible was written about 200 yrs after Jesus died. So, IMHO it was passed down thru oral history or channeled material. Then politics hijacked it.

I believe The reason this book of Enoch and probably others have surfaced in more recent history because God is ready for people to read it at the time because our time here is almost over There will be a new earth after the destruction.
I'm not sure about that statement. Admittedly, I haven't been to church on a regular basis for many years, but it comes to my mind that this last restoration of earth shall be the last because GOD is disgusted with the ways of mankind. This earth will be the last test for mankind to follow GOD, live by his words, and teach his commandments. Those that do will be risen from the dead, and those who are still here will be raptured. Many will be left to fight to prove or disprove their right to Heaven. This will go on for the next 1000 years, and then this will literally be hell on earth! Diagnosed December of 2014, sent home in remission at the end of February 2015. I was told to come back in May of 2015 to start my maintenance chemo, where I would spend 1 week in the hospital with 12 hours on and then 12 hours off of more chemo for 1 week, be sent home to heal on my own and then return in 3 months to renew the maintenance chemo process. After the first round, 2 days after being sent home, I woke one morning with hundreds or thousands of tiny black dots all over my body. I could barely move. I was rushed to my local hospital, where my blood test revealed my platelets were 1000. The minimum should be 150,000! Those black dots were my petechia bursting under my skin! Once I received enough transfusions and plasma to get to 28,000, I was transferred back to my cancer hospital. I reached remission once again. I was then told with no more maintenance chemo and no blood marrow transplant that I had about 3 months to live. I prayed and prayed and prayed. My friends on Facebook and my family sent prayers for me. Last November, I was pronounced cancer free! My doctor told me that I was in a group of about 1% of people with the same conditions that survived! In November of 2020, I had a subdural hematoma on the right side of my brain. After emergency brain surgery that saved my life. December of 2022, I had another subdural hematoma on the left side of my brain. I am extremely blessed by the Grace of GOD! Others can be as well.

What a strange thing to see on your channel. I’ve not been a Biblical literalist since I was 11, but I do still enjoy the stories.

That crap will rot your mind.
Yes, this book left for Efheopia BEFORE Jesus
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." - James 1:27
"Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." - 1 Timothy 6:9-10
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping." - 2 Peter 2:1-3
"Jesus called them together and said, 'You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'" - Mark 10:42-45
I don't care about denomination, as long as you obey Christ.
Thank you for the enlightening.....truly appreciated this. Learning is living
It's a lie.
Do you have any evidence for this? Because this sounds like an internet myth.

Jesus is our lord and savior❤He loves you he died for our sins. 500 people saw him resurrected.
God the Father made it very clear in the Old Testament that angels are pure spirit. It’s physically impossible for angels to procreate with humans.

That's awesomely hilarious! Thanks for that 😆 Another parallel I draw is Charlie Brown's teacher. Any time I've tried to pay attention to religious teaching, all I hear is blah blah blah...
I had the book of Enoch read it 3x
The Bible says that Enoch walked with God
There were giants in biblical times
Don’t fret polo. The Early Church spent decades/centuries researching what was the actual Inspired Word of God; what was essentially solemn folk tales; and what was flat-out garbage.
The Book of Enoch isn’t in canon for a reason.
Also, please keep in mind that this particular video is very one sided.
Have a great one, amigo!
Enoch walked with God and was taken into heaven. Oh yes, the time of trouble will be soon upon us.
If you're interested in excellent material, look into The Law of One.
There was no Bible 2000 years ago….. it was collected from writings over, if I’m not mistaken , several hundred years. So the title kind of gives away the fact that it’s a nonsense social media bait.
There was no singular book called the Bible, but even in 2 Peter 3, which is a letter written by Peter, he tells the believers that some things in Paul's letters are hard to understand, and that ignorant people distort them to their own destruction, as they do with "the other scriptures."
So there seems to have been an understanding of what was considered God breathed scripture, and what wasn't.

Bible a very hard read.
Cool story Bro.
I was taught that the Bible was created when the Romans adopted Christianity as the state religion. At that time, they decided what religious writings would be included or excluded.
367 AD: Bishop Athanasius of Alexandria listed the 27 books of the New Testament in his 39th Festal Letter.
393 AD: The Council of Hippo (N. Africa) canonized the 27 books of the New Testament.
397 and 419 AD: The Council of Carthage (N. Africa affirmed the canonization of the New Testament.
Many think it was Constantine and the Council of Nicaea, 325 AD (Turkey), but that had nothing to do with the books of the Bible. It was purely about the nature of Christ (the Arian and Apollinarian heresies), the Nicaean Creed and the date of Easter.

There’s a lot of grifting and cons being played. There always have been.
I think I'll pass on the primitive belief systems.
Who says it’s valid?
The Book of Enoch is in the Ethiopian Bible. The Bible you read only contains the books that the early bishops of the Roman Catholic Church decided to include in it. There were over 80 books that were considered for inclusion, and they eliminated most of them because they were not considered appropriate for what those bishops wanted their version of Christianity to be! Christ’s Divinity wasn’t even decided until Constantine had the Bishops vote on it at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. Thus we have the Nicene Creed!
@@kerrythomas6220 really?! Not a whit of what you said was new to me.
Who has to validate it? Last I heard they estimated the Bible was written about 200 yrs after Jesus died. So, IMHO it was passed down thru oral history or channeled material. Then politics hijacked it.

There will be a new earth after the destruction.
