Thanks riguess1, it was so easy the change my air filter. I appreciate your video. Loving my Troy bilt TB30R 382cc 30-in riding mower. Easy riding mower for a woman.
It could be several things. The air filter is a good place to start. Next, I’d try a new carburetor. That should help. It may be bunked up or going bad. I appreciate you watching my video.
I am very sorry about not getting to this video for you. Things have been very busy. I still plan on doing this but I do not know when. I am sure by now that you have either figured it out or watched a video on it.
@@rjguess I figured it out..poor design..sheet metal heat shield surrounds it..also have to remove rear bag and mount..I have photos..I'm in mesa,az,so no ice..lol
Do you know where the other end of the hose goes? The hose that is right next (rather above) to the fuel line hose, it is coming out of the airfilter box? I accidentally pull it out and I can't find where it is supposed to hook up
@@rjguess Thank you for replying back so fast. Two weeks ago, for the first time this year, I tried to start the mower and it wouldn't start, I replaced the battery and it started right away. Now (two weeks later) I see it wouldn't start, but this time the starter motor makes the noise but it won't start the engine or make a cranking sound. While looking at the wires and hoses, I noticed this hose was out from the other (unknown end). I am not sure if this hose is the reason why it is not starting. This mower is SO very hard to work with. You have to remove the seat the plastic cover etc to work on. I am extremely frustrated and ready to throw away this piece of crap.
@@PK_Diaspora I got home later than expected. I will look at this in the morning. But I think I may know. It sounds like it make be an air hose. No fluid goes through it. The engine won’t start because that hose is loose. If it is what I think. It attaches to the back side near the carburetor. I will check for sure in the morning.
@@PK_Diaspora ok, it connects to the top of your gas tank You will have to remove the seat and pull the three plastic pins out that hold the read plastic framing on. Also remove your gas cap. It is going to get in the way of taking the plastic off. That’s a bad spot to put a hose fitting!

This is the SAME motor as my Troy Bilt! My air cleaner cover cams were raped by a previous owner, and will not come off.
How about a video on this model, changing spark plug?

Share the filter replacement number and where to purchase
Would have been nice if you gave filter size and part # . That's what I watched this for,
All you have to do is remove it and take it with you to the store. Or look up R110 Riding lawn mower air filter.
Lift your seat up and it will be on the back of the seat. There are #s for the parts
@@janetnewberry4247 Thanks for that tip.. I did not know , So handy
