I hope this never, ever gets old. I’m 65, and have always been a spaceflight fan. Never thought once I would see a booster come back to Earth and land. Remarkable!
I saw this rocket launch from an airplane without even knowing, thinking it was a bright plane. Until a man behind me said "Is that a ROCKET??!!”, and I instantly searched on the internet to see what rocket, even saw the boosters land! 🚀
@@woob_wobco-leader Haha I only saw a bright dot, I was looking at it for a while with curiosity. Tho I have to admit I did see red, and smoke below later. Its just the possibility of it being a rocket didn’t cross my mind…
SpaceX is an amazing organization. This booster rocket was recovered 15 times! Fifteen times man. Nation States (including NASA) haven't been able to achieve what this amazing team has produced.
I think that’s a massive stretch, just thinking of all the technical achievements that make it possible. But for sure one of the greatest technical achievements in the last several decades. Perhaps the single greatest technical achievement in space flight in 50 years.
The 'golden age' of science fiction always had rockets like this portrayed, especially two of my favorite books, "SPACE CADET" by Robert Heinlein and "THE ROLLING STONES" also by Heinlein. Watching the Falcon rocket land is like one of Heinlein's books coming to life...HOW COOL IS THAT?!
Do the rockets have emission systems like Egr and DPF on them. Because every engine is supposed to have the performance choking problems we all have to deal with?
Az ilyent látni, ahogy az űrhajó elhagyja a földet, nem minden nap lehet látni. Nekem újdonságnak számít. Magyarországon nincsen .Én üdvözöllek benneteket ,Magyarországról..
Is the dynamic load on the booster too great or does it become unstable if you only do a burn at the very end? or are the sonic booms too savage. I would think that as it enters the thicker atmosphere going 5000km/h the drag will produce a lot of thrust in itself instead of propulsive, high in the thin atmosphere. And the less fuel onboard the less burden. Also maybe some digital cameras on the rocket instead of analog SD. I assume quality 4K can be done with 1 gram or 2. I imagine Higginbotham can handle quality video.

Does anyone know the numbers for how much money SpaceX saves by recovering the booster? In other words, the costs for the extra fuel to fly back, the extra wear and tear on components, the after-flight maintenance and inspection......etc.
That's a good thing. It means space flight is commonplace. It's like with aviation. The first flight was international news, then each subsequent milestone was also major news. But now, we'll never see a headline "plane takes off" because it's just a normal part of life. Spaceflight being a normal part of life means that we've achieved a necessary step in its evolution. I hope to live long enough to where humans launching to orbit or beyond is also just a normal part of life. It'll mean we've reached that next step too.
This is OK, we have enemies that think they can shoot down every satellite we have. Suprise Suprise. They would never get them all. The military will hire out to Space-X if they haven't already & replenish. Space-X could go every day if Musk wanted & was paid to deliver like these.

It's amazing how many you can launch and recover in a years time. NASA needs to take lessons from you guys.
