Good to see you have given battery products a go, petrol tools will always a place though for the foreseeable future anyway. 👍

It has its uses Rob,I’ve used it to edge lawns when there’s a danger of kicking a stone into glass ( liked it so much I bought the rotary edger to fit the kombi ) Also it’s very easy to sharpen the blades 👍

    Hi Rob, another good video.
I brought the stihl handheld battery blower last year. For the mow, blow and go jobs it's brilliant, press a button and off you go, you can feather the throttle on it as well.
Saves so much time over the day without having to choke and pull over the petrol one.
Don't be put off by the run time as for these jobs there is more than enough I the battery to last the day.
Quite and lightweight, so impressed with it.

That would have been ideal for when I used to work at the garden centre trimming all the topiary buxus every month.
Long term battery is the way to go doing it gradually as your petrol stuff wears out.

    Hi
I went battery on long reach hedge trimmer.I went for the stihl hla 56,which is the domestic model ,as I may only use it once or twice a week.Started off fine, then after a few months it started whining.I opened it up,and the cam had shed half of its teeth.Mostly plastic inside.Thinking of the next one up,with the ap battery system.Im just worried about the gearbox being the same.
    All the best

I've got the Stihl GTA26 which is the little Chainsaw pruner. Comes in the same type of case thing and uses the same battery. As you say. It's a nice to have, not a must have. Although I've used it more than I thought I would when I got it. I'd definitely consider a battery strimmer if you where thinking going down the battery route further. I've got an EGO and absolutely 100% wouldn't be without it.

It's a start mate, but for that money you might as well bought another make of battery trimmer, for little jobs like that. Some makes are just as good and cheaper in price. I've got a couple of small battery trimmers for small quick light hedges, a bosch hedge trimmer and GTech long trimmer. Quick light weight, don't see the point of starting up a petrol engine for quick light weight trimming. I use them for cutting back flower beds as well. But of course the petrol tools for heavy duty.

Watch the fingers on the free hand with the single handed tools. There’s a great channel Calvin Thomas. He hasn’t upload much this past free years but one of his best videos is showing how to sharpen clippers and he has a top tip for lubricant for clippers. I think battery is going to change in the next few years a lot. Sodium ion couod be the next big thing. Tidy job there two

If you get a tarpaulin and its a plastic one, burn rather than cut it for the opening because it seals the strands.

You can't beat 2 stroke. Have used both petrol and electric extensively and good quality two stroke machines are just far, far superior. Not to say it does not have its place but needs lots more development on most items. Even the guy who i buy it from and is very reputable agrees with that.

Personally I don’t think the electric tool avenue of garden machinery is as evolved yet to be useful for the commercial world . Guaranteed they could be useful for domestic use but its just not there yet to meet the standards for commercial use . Petrol/2-stroke is just better .

    • @busterharris4214
      @busterharris4214 Рік тому +1

@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices it is indeed going in the right direction but I don’t think it’s worth investing in the machinery just yet . Battery life just isn’t there especially if you got 8/10 garden per day . Furthermore, I don’t think it’s appealing to medium to large size Garden Maintenance businesses
