Watching your tribute to Ted Lasso was just what I needed because you allowed yourself to be vulnerable and shed tears at the same scenes that made me cry and this was the 6th time I have seen the show. In an interview I recently heard on "Peanut Butter & Biscuits" podcast, they talked to the editors of the show and they said the scene where everyone is watching the highlights video was the last scene filmed for the show and all the guys were crying by the end. (They didn't use it in the edit because Jason felt it killed the joke of them crying on field.) Also the candid footage included in that montage was footage they got from the actors, they set up a dropbox and asked everyone to put videos in if they had anything suitable.
I truly think the halftime speech was from Jason not Ted. I also think the goodbye was not just from Rebecca. What a freaking show. I left an really great coaching job to be home with my family on weekends..... and I had amazing athletes. I miss it horribly, but ive never heard my 2 year shout "daddy are you" and thought....or been home to play Uno with son, and thought I am not coaching. When Henry runs to Ted, I bawl at every reaction video. Hopefully, one day I can return to coaching. I love this show. It has something that everyone can identify with. I think that's why it has been a favorite of so many people.
You might have noticed that Dr. Jacob moves further and further away from Henry and Michelle throughout the game. A great bot of directing showing how he is "out"
@@Deepthoughtsabound He's also wearing the same colour shirt (albeit a brighter shade) as West Ham's alternate strip which they are wearing in the match, while Henry and Michelle are in Richmond colours.
Another great reaction! So many tears, I don't blame you, show is so well written. So as a Ted/Rebecca shipper, I was sad when they faked us out with that opening scene! Ok so locker room scene, why is there a number 28 locker on both sides? 5:05 not sure if that's a mistake or an easter egg of some kind. Wish we would have gotten to see that party. Love that Roy was singing words to Farewell song, he did same thing when Rebecca was singing Frozen song couple seasons ago. Also Trent's reaction was amazing! It really was epic and brilliant. As much as I love that Nate apologized, everything with him felt rushed this season. Love that Roy finally joined the Diamond Dogs!! He's a work in progmess. Higgins gives the best advice! I love Higgins too, he's the best! Love the locker room scene and the sign. Cue me crying along during the reaction, ffs. Going to need my own counter soon. Btw when Nate puts sign back together later, its like Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken things that the psychic mentioned earlier in the season. Love that Dr Sharon was watching the game & cheering along at home. Lol @ the greyhound having a tiny helmet during McAdoo's goal. Jamie's I'm open dance was award winning. So was Ted's dance too. So many funny moments. I think we won the game 3 to 2 but the other team had to lose (not tie or win) for us to win? I cried when the Dutch boatman finally showed up. the little girl who fell, was same actress who played lil Rebecca in the scene when she makes herself big & scary in the mirror. Guessin this means the psychic predictions about Rebecca being a (step) mother came true? Keeley's KJPR is no more, it's now KBPR, I guess as in Keely & Barbara? The sign was changed. Also Jamie's hat was no longer ICON but I,cog. forget what scene that was in. They left things ambiguous with Keeley, Roy and Jamie. Maybe if there's a spin off they'll resolve that. I didn't like wedding scene. I think Jane and Beard had the most toxic relationship of the entire show. Also they way it's shot, so many on the internet thought the wedding and/or entire last 5 minutes was a dream. it's not, actor/writer Brendan Hunt said as much after the show. I don't like that Ted went back home. I know he did it for his son, but is he really happy there? is he back with Michelle? I dunno. so many think this episode was perfect, but I'm not sure it was. I will have to rewatch this episode then entire show again. Going to have to go back and watch your other Ted Lasso reactions too. Btw really hoped ppl were going to vote in Shrinking as next show you watched, since it's got same writers/creators of this show. Plus it has Harrison Ford, who is a legend! Only other show I've watched on that list was Schmigadoon, and I've only seen season 1. was fun show. Love both Cecily Strong & Keegan Michael Key.

I missed the KBPR bit though, will have to take another look at that. Just because one show gets voted in, doesn't mean I won't do the others at some point. I didn't love the wedding scene either (or the fact they're bringing a child into that toxic relationship) but it makes total sense that Ted went home. Maybe he'll come back once Henry is in college...
I kinda love that they didn't quite win the whole f-ing thing because it reminds us that it's not about the wins and the losses. It's about helping these young men become the best they can be, on and off the pitch. The whole point of the show :)
I think they left the trophy unclaimed for spinoff bait. Jason, I think, was ready to move on but the ensemble cast would remain; it's built enough with established characters and veteran actors to carry it. I mean, I wouldn't call Higgins a lead, but I am incapable of finding a bad scene he's in; he's not the only one. Everyone made the best use of their screen time, and that's a testament to the writing, directions, understanding the craft AND actors understanding the characters and roles. Like I can nitpick some things with everything like everyone else, but I mean the show's up their with the best of all time. Although the continuation comes down to the writers' strike. Apple was more than thrilled with the show's numbers from everything I've heard. It was designed as a 3 season arc, and I do want more, but not a quality drop. If it takes time, I can be patient. The end of Ted Lasso? I think it's all but assured. The continuation of a new story? Very possible but not immediately. Also possible he comes back in the spin off with one off or two off. Sorry to have this at the bottom, but well done Kevin.

I only cried once... Admittedly it was from the Sound of Music number until now.
