That's a nice looking store. My Walmart always looks like someone tossed a hand grenade down the tackle aisle.

At least yall have stuff over at mine you might be lucky to find 4 broken rods or like 18 spools of 50 to 105 fluro carbon test and possibly on a amazing day 5 different soft baits legit I got to drive a extra hour to have a good selection

I’m jealous of your Walmart lol. The black max spinning rod has caught dozens of wacky rig bass for me. My wife uses the Hank Parker Lews spinning combo. The reel isn’t the smoothest but it has held up really good for $30. I want to buy one of the new xfinity spinning combos next. I have 10 baitcasters and only 2 spinning rods. I also buy several strike king jigs from the box. I live in Georgia and our fishing aisle is exactly like yours but with less combos in stock.

Yea I’m pretty lucky to be near this Walmart, they really keep a good selection in stock. They normally have more reels and rods in stock, but they were wiped this time lol.

Luckily Bass Pro Shops and a local hardware store with an entire basement of fishing stuff is nearby because Walmart doesn't really have what I use except for fishing line and nets. Try buying decent catfishing or musky stuff there. I guess bass fishing and panfishing are decent but that is bait.

I never mess with the scents either. Fish my plastics right out of the bag. The only form of liquid I use at all in fishing is the KVD Line and Lure spray. Best stuff ever for line management and adding cast distance!

@@bluecollaroutdoors5556 I can attest to the positive benefits of it. When I treat my line with it I can physically feel the wiry feeling become less. It gains a slick feeling, but not like oil. It’s more like silicone. They say it also reduces static cling so people use it on their depth finder screens to keep them clean, and by the same token I will not only treat my line with it but also rub it on my rod line guides. Less static will keep dirt down and let the line flow more freely through them. That’s my theory anyway. All I can prove is that I gained 20 feet of cast distance simply by adding this to my line. It helps take coil out of spinning reel lines also. When I apply it, I don’t just spray it, I drench the line on my reel spool with it, and then I either spray each guide or wet a cloth with it and rub them. Apply it right after changing line. They say you can also apply during fishing while the line is wet but I prefer to put it on when dry.

On most of those ozark trail combo's the reels are the problem the rod is pretty good tho. Idk about the new versions I just know about the older models an that hank Parker lews combo is decent for panfish an crappie an smaller bass. But I hauled in a 25 pound flat head catfish on 8 pound test I had to work the drag like crazy tho took me about 20 minutes.

Nice Walmart. Our Walmart's are lacking when it comes to stuff. Plenty of price tags but nothing in the spots. Camping section is worse than the fishing. It seems like they started remodeling a few years ago and forgot sports area. Must me a Memphis/N. Miss thing. The best store are where fishing is more popular. Thank you for the video.

Some of those rods with lesser backbone could make a decent crank bait rod for someone on a tight budget. I like stout backbone for hook sets with jigs and worm rigs but I prefer a more limber rod for moving baits with treble hooks.
