I love longer videos. Most of us are here because we love these old planes. I think you are doing a great job. Its was great hearing her come to life! I still can't believe how clean this plane is. Looking forward to the next one.
It seems to me that SOMEone's been watching Jimmy's World: Can I get a 'CLEAR PROP?' 😆Best of luck, Mark and I look forward to more videos on your progress.
Nothing better than such videos, flight enthusiasts getting their hands on such finds, and making them work again. I am thoroughly hooked. Please make more update videos, of every little thing you do to this mooney. Ill be with you on this journey. Stay safe and fly safe.
You're a great videographer. And the content is really captivating. Keep us updated. Even the little improvements are interesting. Sometimes an eight minute video can be more enlightening than a long one. If you had told me you bought a M20 for 8 grand, I wouldn't have believed you, but after seeing both videos, I'm with you 100%
I had two Mooneys, a Ranger followed by an Executive. Both great airplanes. . Eventually I moved up to a Cessna T210 and flew for 27 years. Good luck with the project and keep the videos coming.
Watching alot of different UA-cam on aircraft etc. ... you sound like a good person to watch ... so please keep on doing what your doing and I will watch your UA-cam episodes ... I expect you will do great and also get help in restoration of the plane you are restoring ... ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊...
Lots of interest in your endeavor, that doesn't surprise me; you are doing something a lot of pilots have always wanted to do. Having purchased my first airplane I am looking for a project to restore with my sons. I'm just a regular guy, no bales of cash sitting around just to spend or anything like that. I do have my IA so that helps with expenses a little. I would encourage you to start a spreadsheet and keep track of all the hours you spend working on the Mooney. After a certain amount of hours you can apply to the FAA for your A&P license if someone is willing to sign for your practical experience. I look forward to more!
Keep going with this. Being in Oz we don't get much choice in aircraft, all being overpriced. Importing costs a packet, with shipping and import tax and then tax on the total. Can only dream of finding something like your Mooney.
Mark, she's ready to fly!!!! .. just kidding.. Engine sounds great! Congrats on buying a really nice Mooney. Please show some video of the interior, and fill us in on the story of why she sat in a field so long! You've got me hooked. 😃
to fly though it is just an imagination to a conman man....moreover when we see so close of an architecture of plane it fill us with enthusiasm ........You are Blessed...............Stay Blessed always..........Regards
This just to keep this alive ;-) As an old Mooney driver myself (exactly the same model as yours!) over here in Switzerland I can't wait for an update! Hope everything is OK on your side ❗ ❓
Part 1+ 2 were great, I had a chuckle when ya said the Mooney might be a parts/salvage job ! ( bull sh-t ) ya just want to flog off the ultra light so YOU DON'T GET WET when ya flyin around the patch , * that's one spiffy lookin ultralight * you can box her up and send her down too OZ any time.
Awesome content. I cannot wait to see the progress on this. Keep posting it is great watching every detail of the adventure. Don't worry about the specific content, it is about the journey. I am living a dream I never followed thru your post.
Very inspirational and congrats to you. I am trying to follow in your footsteps, but im surrounded by people saying dont do it save your money. Thank you again and im waiting for your update. Good luck
I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if we’ll ever get another Mooney video? I’ve rescued two airplanes from 4-6 year slumbers and loved your approach so far.
G,day from Sydney Australia. Great video, did you get to pressure test the cylinders of the Mooney >65psi Moreover how was the panel instrument indicating after start up and throttle mixture? 🌏🇭🇲
Hey man, I love this series, I just picked up a 1978 c152 project for about the same price as the mooney, being a pilot and a&p I know exactly how you feel wanting to have confidence in every nut and bolt on the aircraft, I look foward to future videos, you mentioned you needed a wheel assembly, I have one sitting in my garage, do you know the P/N so I can send it your way?
I am enjoying the series. So you must have sealed the leaking fuel tanks or did you just attach the fuel pipe to a gas can? I would be really interested to know the costs along the way.
I also like longer videos, watching people do projects start to finish. Maybe get a cheap tripod and a Gopro so you can just set it up and have wide angle so it is the right shape to see on a computer or TV. There are lots of used old Gopro's for sale that would work great for you for cheap as well. Thanks for sharing this journey with us, just a few tweaks and it will be easier to watch :)
My C-150F was purchased by me at an abandoned hangar auction held by the TICO Airport Authority in 2019. It's a long journey, and an expensive one in the end to obtain a "reliable" aircraft. I hope you at least got the logbooks as I did not.
I heard you say Memphis and thought wow... he 's local... I purchased the rights to build a Cozy IV went to spruce bought everything I'd need to start the build... and life changed... So did you sell the square?
Best wishes in your endeavor. My wallet due to 68 & retired restricts me to RC planes, but if you're ever flying over the Catskills and need a passenger I should be up to the task...
Longer videos for sure. Hey, if it has blades or wings, I'm into it. 8g's for a Mooney that runs....yeah, ya don't find that everyday. I'm looking forward to a video on you getting rid of the "custom engineered" sheet metal patches ;}>
dont giveup. i have been fling since i was 8 yup my dad for my 8th birthday gave me a flying lesson . by the tim ei was 16 i had over 500 hours. i got a hours lesson everyweek. funny i found in one of my old old old logbooks a reciept for my lessons.ready? instructor and plane was 8 bucks, old straight tail 150. my 1st airplanei bought was a 1947 stinson voyager for 1900 dollars. with a franklin. i flew that plane for many years i still have it. i also have 2 stearmans a stinson reliant for my cross country trips. not even close to being a fast plane but i am never in a rush. i have like7 planes now but? they still cost less than what a new 172 would cost. i personally prefer the old tail draggers i cruise along at 120 =140 mph depending on which plane i decide to take on a trip. i have room for one more plane so i am buying another super stearman, now that is a real airplane. i hav emore fun with them than i did with my harleys or streetrods i need to find a gf who likes old planes then it would be really run lol and at 70? i still think im 25 my brain does my body? not so much lol but do nto giveup ..
Try to match the title to the content…. It is better for the people watching…. 😀 Getting the fuel priming procedure correct is worth memorizing…. There will be a few start procedures to determine…. Warm, cold, and hot…
80% of the video before a Mooney is front and center, and tried to start without the fuel boost pump. These engines will start easy if you follow the checklist.
Sounds like you got slightly duped into the ultralight and couldn't get training without going straight to the factory. If you have money to burn enjoy the ride
That’s a combo bug smasher and traffic pattern clogger. I don’t consider anything modern which doesn’t fly faster than the speed limit as anything that “goes”.
New subscriber disappointed in the labeling here. Nothing wrong with historical reference as it fills in the back story, but could have easily gained more attention and likes by keeping it separated. Just keep it concise and call it what it is. A short video under proper cover will keep folks who love aviation coming back.
What happened with the Mooney? i was really looking forward to the adventure. At your expense, of course! 😂
We need more content on the Mooney! Merry Christmas!!
I love longer videos. Most of us are here because we love these old planes. I think you are doing a great job. Its was great hearing her come to life! I still can't believe how clean this plane is. Looking forward to the next one.

Retired airline pilot here. Love your videos. Keep it up!

I subscribed!!! Hoping that you continue to take us on your journey, all the way, to your first take off!!!
Would be great to see an update video on the Mooney! And as others have said, long format videos are always welcome!
You're a great videographer. And the content is really captivating. Keep us updated. Even the little improvements are interesting. Really enjoyed these two videos, looking forward to more!
In addition to what others have said, check the camshaft and lifters for spalling.
I was cheering you on during the startup! Great Find, can't wait to see more and the first flight! Good Luck.
Great video! So glad your Mooney and your little grass hopper are now talk of the town on UA-cam! Keep having fun!
Amazing can't imaginé the time that took and what a suprise the engine sound so good proper barn plane start Up haha.
I for one liked your video! Don’t listen to any negativity, you are just starting out on UA-cam. Good luck with the Mooney!!!

Be safe and have patience, and I really enjoy the Mooney adventure.

Hope everything is OK on your side ❗ ❓
Love the videos. Looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds, hopefully with some in flight footage.
Looking forward to more of this.
The airplane sound effect won me. You’ve got yourself a new sub!! Liking all your videos.

There's nothing I like more(*) than the sound of an abandoned airplane's engine running again.
(*) metaphorically speaking since I do like Beer a lot.
G,day from Sydney Australia.
Great video, did you get to pressure test the cylinders of the Mooney >65psi Moreover how was the panel instrument indicating after start up and throttle mixture?

I hope the Mooney will fly again!
longer Videos please...we love this

Videos bro, post some videos 😎
Nice to see it run. Wishing you the best. 1 year ago. What has happened since?
I am enjoying the series. So you must have sealed the leaking fuel tanks or did you just attach the fuel pipe to a gas can? I would be really interested to know the costs along the way.
Lookit you! Two thousand one hundred subscribers already. 👍 Must be doing something right. 😎
very interested in watching more vids on the Mooney!

where is the project actually?

I think he said he did get the log books in the other video.
Sounds like a good plan!
I heard you say Memphis and thought wow... he 's local... I purchased the rights to build a Cozy IV went to spruce bought everything I'd need to start the build... and life changed... So did you sell the square?
Jump to 10:00 if you are interested in the Mooney related video
But if they want to see a plane they can buy then I suggest they watch the full video 🤘
Thank you Jesus!!!!!
Keep updating on what you are doing.
Call it the Loonie Mooney!! (in Canada a loonie is a one dollar coin)
What a great find!
Living the dream. How is the project going?
Sure would like an update. Surly you have some good or bad news to share. Anyway did enjoy
That blue plane is a flying wheelchair. Run Forest run!
I did my cross country in an m². Tough aircraft!

Are you sure that your not related to Jimmy of Jimmies World UA-cam channel out of Plant city Florida?
Engine sounds good.

Best wishes in your endeavor.
My wallet due to 68 & retired restricts me to RC planes, but if you're ever flying over the Catskills and need a passenger I should be up to the task...
I personally need an update on this. What’s happening with the project Mark?
The light 💡comes on at 4:00. Speed is the real reason behind flying vice ground pounding. 🦉

Need an update. Are you located in Memphis
That’s wild about the oil. I would have expected it to have water in it.
What's going on? Has it ground to a halt?
7 months and no update? I certainly hope all is well with you.
Nice. Following it.
Any update on the Mooney?
Try to match the title to the content…. It is better for the people watching…. 😀

Video not long. It's the unnecessary off topics.
Is there any new news? Did the Mooney turn out to be a basket case?
Thats what my wife calls it. A gocatr with wings. I had a q/s sport.single place. It literally flew itself...
Update us on the plane!
Bobby from Propelling here. Let me know if you need any assistance or have any questions about mooney stuff.
Part 3???
Video starts at 10:40
Where is the Mooney?
WOOO HOOO!!
Update ?
Any update?
So, this really was a bait and switch....
Sounds like you got slightly duped into the ultralight and couldn't get training without going straight to the factory. If you have money to burn enjoy the ride
How much $$$
Please keep with the money. Lol
That’s a combo bug smasher and traffic pattern clogger. I don’t consider anything modern which doesn’t fly faster than the speed limit as anything that “goes”.
So, a year later…
It's pronounced "Loo-a-vll"
Post another video you goober it's been a year what the heck come on inquiring minds want to know how much you spent get to 100 Grand yet😂😂😂
I get to the 11 minute mark before you even show the Mooney. Thats ridicules.

"Mooney part 2?? Not really- spent 11 minutes just yakking away then 4 minutes about the Mooney. Big waste of both our times! Goodbye!
10mins of nothingness & 4mins of no content
and still more than you've ever contributed, troll. Its clearly a video adding context. If you don't appreciate that, leave!
Says the guy with Zero content, hahaha
