He is loaded with potential. I like his shooting potential a lot. He has some cleaning up to do to his form, mainly making sure his base is consistent (releasing on the way up and maybe jumping a little more forward and having his feet land more parallel). He gets a great quick dip and hip alignment, which helps him shoot from all different angles. His athleticism is ELITE, and he is crafty as hell around the basket. Obviously he will have to get stronger, but I think a team should take him in the top 10 easily. He will need a good coaching staff to help him develop and hone in his shot selection, but he would be the PERFECT 6th man with the potential to be a secondary scorer on a good team. He’s one of the most exciting prospects in the class.

@@ashton_9340 So.... Teams ALWAYS need more ball handlers and elite athletes. Bouknighht could be a perfect 6th man, or he could play the 2. He has a lot of room to grow defensively, and he has to get stronger, but the Raptors would be the perfect team to help him grow on defense. There’s a such thing as too many bigs, especially non shooting bigs, but teams should ALWAYS try to draft and develop as many wings/combos with shooting potential as possible. You can never have too many.

Bouknight, Bucket, Book it 🔥 Bougknight is athletic but he was known in college for his shooting which makes him a very interesting player to watch this season. You will not know what you will get from him and that is hard to guard I think.

The Knicks are looking to trade up to him, calling him a combo guard, but I see mostly a 2 here, and that's not meant to sound negative. Just don't see him moving the ball around much, and much more apt to create for himself as a slasher which is fun to watch and a bit of a throwback.
What about davion Mitchell?

The Ringer's Kevin O Conner has Bouknight ranked 21st in his big board.
Negatives include:
1) Playmaking instincts: He forces some passes that aren’t there and misses some open opportunities. And he too often kills his dribble.
2) Streaky spot-up shooter whose issues could be due to his mechanics. Has a relatively stiff shot out of stationary positions.
3) Inconsistent on-ball defender.

Man why borrego doesnt use him in hornets?? Hes the 11th pick if he was on the other hell surely get atleast 15-18 mins off the bench or more. I mean he avg atleast 18ppg in summer league and Pre season. There is no reason why you cant gamble on him because he shows up before. He plays 4th quarter 1 min left in the nba or doesnt play at all. When the hornets roster is struggling he doesnt give a chance to the likes of bouknight or green who knows what they can bring. Smh
