Transportation also means Grab for Asia.Also taxis are beginning to compete with Uber. Arro and Curb are a must in NYC where taxis have gotten nicer and are often 12:46 now cheaper than Uber because no surge pricing and no waiting.

I know some of the apps you've mentioned and some I'm not familiar with. So you use paid versions? If so how much do you budget for them? Excited to see want else you have to share!
What do you use to organize and keep track of all the logistics (plane reservations, hotel reservations, busses, ferries, trains, etc.)? I see some others on UA-cam use Notion but wondering what you use.

Great recommendations!! WhatsApp is essential! We have multiple friends in the US who travel a lot internationally that use this app to communicate exclusively, home or abroad. Also, really feel that whole "translate the washing machine" thing! Why is it always SO confusing?!? Excellent tips!

Do you pay for your accommodations/ transport in US dollars? I heard somewhere it’s best not to pay in US dollars because it’s less favorable. Maybe it doesn’t matter since a local currency option isn’t convenient.

We always use local currency because each time we have checked it you get a less favorable rate if you let each business set the rate. John and Bev
