Medicine In Nepal :- Health Professional Education In Nepal is Mainly Controlled by NMC & MEC .
MEC :- As per provision of the National Medical Education Act 2075 ; Medical Education Commission (MEC) has been established .
Since 2075 I am Working as Counsellor in Nepal
Introduction :
Health Professional education was started in Nepal formerly after establishment of Institute of Medicine under Tribhuvan University in 1972 beginning with training of middle level human resources for health . Bachelor level courses in Institute of Medicine was started in 1978 and postgraduate studies since 1982. similarly , BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences was established in eastern Nepal in 1993 , Manipal Academy of Health Sciences was established under Kathmandu University as a Kathmandu University affiliated Private institutions in 1993. Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences as Constituent campus started MBBS Program in 2001. Then National Academy of Medical Sciences was established in 2002 and patan Academy of Health Sciences in 2008.
Since late 90's , over a period of decade , numerous private medical institutions were also opened in affiliation to various universities. In one hand , the rapid development of medical institutions helped for fulfilling the gap between need of human resources for health. In the other hand , there have been issues related to quality in health professional education and also the process and costs related to the entrance examination and student enrollment . In this context , National Medical Education Act 2075 has envisioned the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) to be Conducted by Medical Education Commission (MEC) for enrollment of students in various programs and colleges throughout the country.
As per provision of the National Medical Education Act 2075 , in the context of the essence and spirit of the reports of the commission , committee and task force formed to improve medical education commission has been established to :
* Increase the investment of the state in the field of medical education ,
*develop medical education in line with the national needs of Nepal,
*regulate medical education in integrated and efficient way,
*organize the work related to the establishment and operation of medical institutions,
*maintain quality , professionalism, institutional accountability, geographical balance and social justice in medical education,
*ensure equal access of all students including the deprived.
The Act defines medical education as education of all disciplines and levels related to the health profession (Health Professional Education)

@@Abhisekyadav sir the counsellor is saying refund is very very difficult and asking me to wait .....she is saying she will try to manage my booking amount with other student or get my money with some deduction.......Bt I m bot believing her anymore.....I don't know she is right or not bt she has asked me to not to pull out directly from clg .......sir me thoda wait karke agar nhi milta to me kya karu ....should I go legal way ? Reach Indian embassy or what 😢

Sir aap toh nepal se ho aapko toh acche se pta hoga ki yeh nepal license nhi de rha hai iska bhaut issue a rha hai. Indian students bhaut jyada confusion mein hai licence ki vajah se . Aur na koi written mein available hai nepal NMC ki website pe jaise baaki saari country ki website pe available hai. Isko jaldi se jaldi clear kariye sir. Aise students admission le le phir baad mein keh ki sorry baccho aapka future khrab ho gya
