I'm definitely on board with Black Powder, an excellent entre into Napoleonics. I also happen to have Absolute Emperor but have only had cursory glance at it as I'm learning BP. Thanks for this great video!
@@totalburnout5424 I'm gearing up to film a Black Powder battle report soon. I love that the rules are basically the same across Hail Caesar, Black Powder and Pike & Shotte.
Waiting for the Warlord Epic Napoleonic's, but still like my Napoleons battles By Avlon Hill. Got the 1st Ed box set 30 years ago and just picked up the revisited 4th Ed Hardback rules set last year.
Marechal Ed. rests in my shelf. Haven´t played it so far, but I will. The origin of my basing lies in Napoleon's battles and so i have an obligation there.
A nice presentation of currant rules. I play my.Napoleonic at the.Grand tactical level 1 to 50 scale and play very War games Research Group rules which are.very.nostalgic for.me but out of date. That.said I've get to find the.aspects.I like about.them portrayed in more modern rulesets. I too like warmasters.mechanisms.. I have seen and read many good things about LaSalle I will be interested what you think I have not played or read Shako. What I've seen regarding black powder I do not enjoy their mechanisms seem more suited for a fantasy.battle but I haven't played them and they are popular so I am sure theymust.he fun. I may.do a what I like about my.rules.feature on my channel soon. tHankful for posting.
Corps d'Armee: Napoleonic Rules or a DBA Variant? My DBA exprience is limited and feelt like a game of chess. But it was only one game. Black Powder on a friday, a glas of port and a lazy evening. Nice. If you know warmaster, you already familiar with the downsides of this system. But to keep my mind busy, I would prefer Lasalle. "Battaile Empire" will go into the same direction. More challenging and complex.
So I need Lassal and Absolute Emperor, thanks mate.

Both appear at first more complex then they are. I had experience with Warmaster, what helps with BP.

Yeah, couple of thousand figs already based...Not interested in rebasing at this stage.
One of the reasons for this series. Rebasing is rarely really necessary.
