I tend to think they need a cooling off period at the edge position. They really don't know what kind of defensive front they are. They're really mixed up and confused. It's been that way for years. They might be able to resign Khalil Mack but I don't think he's going to be a hot off the griddle free agent. You're kind of wondering if guys like Trey Smith and Najee Harris are going to be free agents and just sign those two guys asap and say screw the compensatory draft this year. It could be a good free agency this year. I think they should try and resign JK Dobbins before free agency. But they're saying an estimated annual amount for him is $4 to $5 million a season on a two year deal. And that's not bell cow money. That's more like an insurance policy to me. What you get paid at least when in the prime should reflect how good of a player you are. So $4 to $5 million a year that's a disappointment to me considering the salary cap space the Chargers have. I think the tough part about this whole thing is will the Chargers win? Because in the nfl if you can't win in your own division its just hard to win period. It's almost impossible to say you have a winning team or a team that's built to win and you're not winning in your own division. So taking the slow route and working the compensatory draft and free agents that you can talk to, possibly workout and have some time to make decisions on how the salary cap is going to be spent might all you can do. Instead of going out and signing the hot free agents. Because right now not too sure if the Chargers can win in their own division. Sweeping the Raiders and the Broncos is not good enough.
I can't blame him. The Browns have been garbage for years. The kid wants to go where he can win. I wouldn't complain if the Chargers got hím. We could let Bosa walk. But,,, not for a lot of draft picks to get MG.

I just don’t see hortiz moving draft capital for any player just my honest opinion he values draft picks more than free agency so I don’t see it .! I don’t see a tee Higgins or dk metcalf none of it I see harbaugh an hortiz drafting well an adding cheap plug a play like we did last season .! Just look at the ravens they don’t make huge splash free agent signings they build through draft an add capital so I would expect that’s prob the route we are going. Hortiz isn’t going to want to be in cap hell in seasons to come

By time they cut Bosa and if they make a trade for Myles Garrett it'll cost $35 million for an edge rusher and probably a 2nd round pick.
