You were right the first time, OP is 100% wrong. Dream Zanarkand is literally that. A dream, kept alive by summoning energy. IT HAS NO PHYSICAL SUBSTANCE, NEAR BAAJ OR ANYWHERE ELSE. Dream Zanarkand is City:Skylines on steroids, a VIRTUAL construct out in the Farplane. The ROM of the game is the memories of the members of the Gagazet megafayth. The rendering engine is Yevon's summoning. From there it's a free-running "open world" simulation. There is a "modding community" for this game, wandering souls from the Farplane who find it somehow (who wouldn't want to join, given a chance?), settle in, make virtual babies, and "die", to either reincarnate in the game, or pass on to the Farplane for real. _This is why Jecht and Tidus can even leave Dream Zanarkand, they aren't bound to it as the fayths are._ One thing that Sin's attack on DZ did (being a glorified Aeon, Sin's awareness extends into the Farplane) was to _reset it back to 'factory install.'_ This is why Tidus's home houseboat looks emptier and quieter than before when he revisits it after touching the megafayth.
Final Fantasy X is still my favorite game in the series so I appreciate this video you made
Its on my top 3 games of all time, but the stories of it are really good so i wanted to invest more time in them.

You know what's weird as I'm replaying the remastered on my Nintendo switch I always thought Tidus was the final aeon and just like auron Tidus had a purpose

One thing i never understood is, if tidus is from dream Zanerkand, and SINS main purpose is to protect dream Zanerkand from being destroyed, Aaron went into dream Zanerkand to get tidus as explained here, and sin as shown was destroying the very dream Zanerkand he was supposed to protect as tidus gets dragged into spira
Sin does not "protect" DZ. Sin, being a summoned construct, is aware of DZ, and can reach it at need, but ignores it because of Yevon's will. Yevon's entire monomaniacal purpose is summoning, providing energy to the DZ simulation he crafted. Yevon will not let Sin destroy the one thing he's devoted eternity to preserving! This requires a lot of energy. Yevon replenishes his energy by "eating" summons leading up to a Final Aeon battle. He cannot consume the portion of the summon that is the fayth, that being sealed in stone, anchored, immutable...but he does get the portion of the summoner's souls invested in the Aeon! The Final Aeon , alone of all summons save perhaps Sin itself, very specifically does not have a sealed-in-stone fayth, does not have an anchor, so that it can be consumed and inhabited by the soul of Yevon, to allow Yevon to continue summoning. It's a feature, not a bug. This incidentally proves Anima (which has a stone fayth) is NOT a FA. Yunalesca _knowingly_ sacrificed her husband for the "noble" cause of powering Sin, to empower her father, so that he could continue to power the Dream Zanarkand memorial. And every other High Summoner who followed. That's why her final form was so grotesque, the true picture of _her_ soul.

Dream Zanarkand is actually on Sin itself.
Then how does sin visit it?
My biggest thing has always been how jecht left dream zanarkand. Like it's the only plot hole, he was swimming then ooops 🤷🏽♂️ he's real now
The fayth explains on mount gagazet that tidus and his father were both touched by sin, sin took him out of it.
I aways thought of the prologue as being from 1000 years prior. Jecht and Tidus were real people. The people of zanarkand trapped in a dream state by yu yevon. Jecht was a hero among the people of zanarkand in their timelines as the aeons would have been from centuries before. Think if enough actually had seen a valefore or believed in it they could manifest it in the game timeline of Spira. They did the same with Jecht. Sin is able to travel back in time. Thus Auron returning and sacrificing tidus to Sin so that his legend would grow and be manifested 1000 years later.
This is why final fantasy X3 should be the final game in The saga of X and X2 and give us more details about that again even about the two characters if I don't fantasy X2 that were inhabiting the spirit of the dress Spears we can find out what happened to them did they die in that macania war we can also get a glimpse of how their life were that's why I need a final fantasy x-3 everything will make sense if the new game came out
