Dear readers from Spain, what's your favorite Spanish food and dessert?
@@RianneGrace Tapas are everywhere (to some extent because that's what tourist expect to find) but traditional cooking is so much more than that. Find a good menu del dia and you can have a full meal with wine for lunch for around 13 to 16 euros. Do some research and avoid tourist traps.
Dessert? First of all... We love bakeries and pastries. There are many in Madrid but a ridiculous amount in Barcelona. In restaurants you should try a good Spanish cheesecake (not like the US version) and torrijas... Now they are kind of trendy.

I love Barcelona one of the best cities in Europe. Food, history, places to visit & the nightlife is spectacular. I know you didn't have time but the beach is only 30 mins on the metro & Sitges is a fabulous town by the coast. Looking forward to you cruise updates ❤

As a brit when we travel to europe we are told just to use our card (you can get prepaid cards) to pay really and pay in the local currency. Our own bank will give you the best deal on converting it. Not sure if it would be the same for Americans but might be worth looking into rather than withdrawing cash

La boqueria is an amazing food market. I could live there. The food is so good. I'm from England but going to Spain to la boqueria is just so good. So much choice but everything is amazing. You can buy ingredients like neat or fish from one place and walk 10 yards to a place that will cook it and make it into a meal for you. Can't get much fresher than that. Great video. I'm jealous. Apart from the 6 hour delay. I'm lucky I'm a 2 to 3 hour flight away from Barcelona. And I have an airport 2 minutes from me in Southend on sea. Been on a few royal carribean cruises aswell on same ships as my wife used to work in the salon for R.C. food isn't too bad but lots of choice. Keep up tue good work.
My brother and his family are just leaving the Harry styles concert and coming back home to South Africa!! It was a blast!! They had such an amazing time!
My daughter used a Revolut card in Europe to avoid those crazy ATM fees. Just need to order a few weeks before your next European vacation to get a physical card to use at ATM machines. Really enjoy your content❤

I think you faced all the challenges most people hit when visiting a new place for the first time. Its so hard to find to good spots. I hear most are down alley ways only the locals know of.

I lived in Spain/Barcelona for 2 years and it has been my second home since my hubby is from there. Some tips I learned:
If the camarero/waiter is outside trying to lure you in to eat at their restaurant, don't. The paella is most probably frozen.
If the menu is bilingual, again, don't go there. The food is most probably not fresh.
To experience great quality food and culture, get out of Barcelona and visit small cities around it (my hubby is from esplugues de llobregat, so for food, we always went to the small cities around it because they were all "family owned" basically, making it authentic)
Places I recommend in Spain:
Sitdges (theres the festival of movies there)
Costa Brava
Malaga
Toledo (the old part)
Asturias
Paises vascos (Bilbao (fun fact, Tolkien got inspired by the name and came up with "Bilbo" :))
Navarra (if you go in July, youll be able to watch people running with bulls lol)
Last, but not least, Galicia
I lived in a city called Terrassa. The culture is very endeering tbh. Hope this helps :)

You could try to get separate account and card for euro or other currency similar . There are such services in Europe I believe it might be available in the US aswell. Similar services to revolut.
