I've heard a few songs from this group but this is our first time ever reacting to them and also the first time being present for a new release. I thought this one was really good but needs more human waterwheel. LOL jk! I hope you enjoy this new introduction to the channel!

Appreciate your in-depth reaction of their lyrics. They spend a lot time and thought on them. The wheel choreography you recall is from their debut year 2016, called K.O Knockdown. They were in their teens and 20/21. Now two members are 30 and rest are in their 20’s. That level of choreo is hard on their bodies. That said they still do great choreography. Watch there Kingdom performances. SF9 are a genre on their own. BIBORA has a house music style from 2010 era, is a bop! Their b side tracks are often favorites. 4 rappers and all are top vocalists. Sequence is a superb album from them. Thanks again for reacting. SF9 are so worth it!

I knew that waterwheel was old but I didn't know it was debut old haha. Darn, that means we probably won't see that type of thing from them again but man it was cool and different! I definitely need to check out Kingdom since a few of my other favorties were on there too like Stray Kids, BTOB, and ATEEZ. I may also look for Sequence when I'm at the kpop store next time!
First Collection, Knights of the Sun & Turnover and now Sequence are great albums. Watch SF9 Jungle Game. It’s SF9’s ‘Transformer’ dance for their clever earlier choreography.
They are a hidden gem in KPop and seem to attract those who prefer a mature more complex layered sound.
Re their lore. It’s subtle where they repeat phrases from lyrics weaving their work together. They seem to enjoy crystals, the Matrix, Men in Suits, magic and myths in sentimental ways.
For Kingdom watch SF9 The Stealer, Move & Believer. Taeyang did a lot of work on the choreo. They are a super talented imaginative creative bunch and we never know what’s coming next. They are dorks too btw and super witty, funny which adds to their charm for Fantasy, the fans :) Your ears will appreciate the ride! All the best Jeff :)

You got to listen to more SF9! Their sound and style is quite unique. Very cinematic videos with sad but sexy music.

Thank you so much for the reaction, it was interesting to hear your thoughts on the song and the MV! As far as I remembered, it means the storm with snow and rain, and take notice as how the lyrics portray this change from rain to storm well.
Also, as they introduced, the concept for the film is something kind of, even when they know the only ending is separation, farewell, if they have the chance to go back in time, they would still choose to love the other! I find this really interesting as how they also mentions the (hottest) heartbreak in Tear Drop, and a somehow toxic relationship in Trauma, where they persuade themselves that this is not toxic, not trauma as they love the other so much while in truth it was the opposite.
They don't have any full storyline like the other groups, but they do have some separate storylines, like the Scream and Puzzle, where they are the agents, and the story ends when they finish their mission and retire the job loll. Another storylines is the one with some myths, we have Good Guy, Summer Breeze and Tear Drop. They also have the O Sole Mio - Mamma Mia - RPM thingy.

I don't know much of their music but what little I have heard, I have enjoyed so I should definitely listen to more from them. You mentioned o sole mio was part of a thing, I would have never known hahaha. I think I like having more small storylines as opposed to one big long one. With the long storylines that carry over from debut to however long, you gotta have seen all the vids, some of the promo materials, etc to get it all. With smaller stories, it's easier for someone new to jump in and get that story before moving on.
@@JeffReacts12 Thank you for your fast reply! And yes, O Sole Mio is a thing, the concept if the knights of the sun, so they are like protecting the star, when the end of the world is near. I really appreciate the efforts that are always put in their works. The music is unique and have their own colours.
It would be great if I could suggest you to check out some of their other songs, my favorite albums include First Collection, Rumination, Turn Over and The Wave Of9, The Piece Of9 (and Now or Never, RPM, Fall In Love, Love No.5, my first loves ever). Honorable mention, Puzzle was produced by Zuho! They have a lot of self-produced songs, choreographies, and they also takes part in building the concept here and there.

That's pretty cool. I've never tried to breakdown or listen for the message of O Sole Mio before so I just assumed it was a love song lol.
I'm really behind on requests right now and since I do them free, I want everyone to get a chance to get one before I get to anyone getting more than one. Yes, rainstorm is what I've read. In this application, I interpret it to mean the guys are experiencing a storm of tears and tragically sad feelings, in sharp contrast to the club-style dance beat. I love the complex analysis here, I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the analysis. I’m glad you like it 😊 My interpretation of the scenes is that everything is falling apart around them, the memories linger back and they are trapped alone. They kind of want to be swept back in time by bibora but like you said they are conflicted.
Funny you mentioned Matrix because their Opening Sequence video has a scene where one has to choose a red or a blue bullet (like the pills in Matrix), which also symbolized the inner conflict.
As far as I know SF9 doesn’t have a specific long-term lore (although Good Guy, Summer Breeze and Tear Drop are a trilogy) but many of their MVs have themes of parallel world or questioning the reality and Bibora fits that theme too. I really recommend watching all their MVs 😄

So the story behind Rowoon's departing is basically that he had a very successful acting career and the company just couldn't balance his idol activities with his acting schedule so he often ended up missing SF9 promotions and stuff, he also has a quite serious back injury/issue that prevents him from dancing without pain, so although he genuinely liked singing and dancing it was affecting him whenever he did dance, so it was better for his health to focus on acting. As much as I loved him as part of SF9 I had been thinking for a long time that he needed a vacation and some time to rest and get physical therapy or something, so I'm hoping his new solely actor life can be beneficial for him.
Ah that's sad but I'm glad he had another creative outlet that he could turn to instead of just being out in the cold so-to-speak. I hope he can recover well and decide if he wants to return or not when he's healthy. If he is completely done, I wish him well in his acting career!
