Another awesome video. Sweet Sammi got amazing hands to catch all them cabbages with ease. She’s awesome. Glad to see the corn maze is developing nicely. God has certainly blessed your farm with bountiful harvest even in a bad drought. I love how your videoing and editing styles makes your viewers feel like they are tight there with you. And you and the others make us feel welcomed like friends. A recipe for success of your channel as your fast rising subscriber count proves. God bless each of you my young friend.
Awesome looking veggies, Logan. Glad you showed an update of the corn maze! Lots of rain storms here, thank goodness. Now I see one ear of corn forming in my garden! 😆 Thanks for another great upload 😉
@Broyans Farm👍& thank you for all you and you're family do to help feed this world. Nise throws and catches. Please don't waste those mouth-watering tomatoes
All those tomatoes reminds me of a little song from the West Indies; 🎶🎵 Way down south where bananas grow ants are stepping on elephant toes elephant sighs with tears in his eyes, and says why don't you pick on someone your size Papa didn't plant much cotton or corn very few potatoes green peas or Lima beans but lord he's got tomatoes. 🍅
Hey, my friend love this video and had to laugh at the deformed tomato which made me think about an idea for you. Maybe doing at the end of the season a blooper video from the all the mishaps and funny things that happen.
Logan you and the group never fail to disappoint. Thanks for all you do & sharing your journey this season. Can't wait to see corn maze this fall i have a great feeling your idea will be so fun for everyone! You all are awesome. Hugs from NW PA
Hey Logan glad you got some rain. We got lot's of rain and the high temps are only 90. Your plants look real healthy and wow those tomatoes look great. Blessings to your family.
Great video Logan! I was reading an article this weekend saying that a study has been done stating that you shouldn’t refrigerate potatoes and cucumbers, something else also but I can’t remember what. We have always refrigerated these and more? Made no sense so thought I would ask if you have heard the same? 👍👍
First video of yours Ive watched, yes I subscribed. Hey your end It aint much but its honest work. Its a heck of a lot more than that a heck of a lot more. Anybody with a heart would love to work on a farm. Outside, exercise, and the bad days aint that bad. Plus you are feeding the world. Thanks
The maze is looking great! Can't wait for all the video's about the festivities there. Your channel is addictive (in a very good way!) Love all your energy. And I see you're almost up to 30.000 subs!
I am new here - love all the pics of the harvest, but I'm confused by your last statement - "What isn't much?" "It ain't (sic) much, but it's honest work." Feeding people Isn't a little thing. Ask your mom and dad if they think it isn't much. Looks to me like it is all "very much". And 150 acres - amazing. What would be "much"? Your farm seems amazing and I love the variety of veggies you grow and harvest. Looks like a tremendous amount of hard labor to me!
Thinking of renting a U-Haul truck and head towards PA........LOL so want to have about 10-12 baskets of those tomatoes........but since I'm in NC that probably won't be happening........
Glad to hear that some rain came your way 👍🏼👍🏼 The canning tomatoes look huge! It is interesting that you use the word ‘maize’ to refer to corn - is it regionally used there in PA? Thank you Logan and the Broyan’s clan for sharing your hard work with us.
Zucchini Casserole is Excellent and it’s a Layered Baked Dish very similar to Lasagna but doesn’t include any meat. I could include Recipe if any Interest. 👍
I got less than 1/4" of rain last night. Waiting patiently on our second planting of zucchini. The deer ate the zucchini last year, last night they broke down the deer fence around the corn and zucchini and ate a little.
Because of stupid laws here, our non native deer population is protected in areas, only state registered hunters allowed to hunt a few other parts. Farmers are copping it, but close to the vast amounts of government forests. Because they are not impacting life in the suburbs, they do not care. To have you show the damage by bambi to crops is sobering.
Hi Logan. Do you ever grow yellow or white tomatoes? As I have gotten older more acid reflux. I found out that yellow and white tomatoes have less acidity and don't upset my stomach as much. Also has the family ever thought of a pick your own at the farm so those beautiful tomatoes go to waste?
If anyone can answer. This year we planted tomatoes plants . It’s been dry however we did water frok time to time. Almost ever single tomato as it grew would get just past the size of a golfball and all would start splitting at the steam really bad. Any ideas why or a preventive measure we can take next year??
The prickles on squash and pumpkins stems are a desert adaptation. The leaf acts as a funnel to direct dew or rain to the stem. The prickles break the surface tension of water droplets keeping them on the stem where it follows it to the ground at the root. On a dewy morning, there will be a wet spot at each pumpkin leaf/stem/ root.
How do you guys grow all that cabbage and brassicas without getting destroyed by cabbage worms and other insects?? If I plant 1 cabbage it seems like every cabbage worm in the county finds it.
I don't know how much road traffic you get but you could take those tomatoes down to the end of the road and write up a facebook ad, offering a "come and get it price" and sell your extra veggies. Or maybe a few grocery stores or mom and pop grocery stores would take some cheap and sell them to make extra cash. I cook down tomatoes slowly and make my jars of pizza sauce. Instead of adding sugar, I throw in some sweet red bell peppers in the blender and make a slush, literally. Then I throw that slush in a strainer with a piece of cheese cloth. I slowly add that sweet bell pepper liquid into my pizza sauce until I think it's perfect. I don't use white or brown sugar when you can add the sweetness using real veggies. I use 2 and 4 ounce canning jars so I can snap one open for pizza's or pizza subs or even pizza pasta! Cut up your favorite veggies, cook and or gather your meat selection. Throw in cooked rotini in a greased pan. Add your veggies and meats and cheese and sauce and bake.
This was like medicine for my soul and mind. I grew up on farm and we worked an acre of land to feed our family. After the harvest we canned and preserved the fruits and vegetables. Children were expected to help. I so enjoyed life in the garden. We used two huge wash tubs to process the vegetables. Your yield is ridiculously beautiful. I commend you on your work ethic.

Absolutely!! I love doing this more than going to school, or anything else in life (I am in school to be a doctor) but believe it or not I can do quite the lifting for my size. & actually I have only been on the farm for a couple years and the amount that I can do is pretty impressive so I would say if I didn’t love it I wouldn’t do it. But thank you for the advice!! 😃

Wow what tomatoes. Is that the same variety you grow in the high tunnels?

You guys work too hard. I hope your prices reflect the hard work. Your veggies are beautiful.
Logan. Did you Ben or Sammi play any sports in school or did you work the farm instead?
I’ve been on the farm my whole life, Ben or sammi did not play any sports.
Stem end ripens before and is firmer than the bloom end.
