Never crappie fished at the reservoir until I started watching your channel and a few others that fish there. I went last weekend and brought home 13 and all were over 12". Threw back several. If they weren't over 12 I didn't keep them. So look forward to going back.
I’m sure those ladies appreciated them copy very very much. That was a beautiful set of crappy. Happy Thanksgiving to you. I hope you and yours merry Christmas too.
What day was this video made? Also, seems like this is the first video I've see where you were using a 16ft Black Diamond pole. That's twice as long as what you usually use. How do you like using that long of a pole? I got a 14ft HT pole, but it is a lot heavier than the B & M Black Diamond poles.
Hi Ken! That was last Saturday (11/23). I like the Black Diamond. They just weren’t chasing the casted jigs. I really prefer casting, but the Black Diamond is great for dead-sticking, which is what they wanted last Sat…
Hi Pat! Let me know if you’re wanting a separate video…would be happy to make if that’s what you’d like. That said, I just ran down to the garage and fired up Livescope to get you a quick answer…. Here are the settings from the Thanksgiving video (11/23/24): Gain: 69 (adjust regularly to meet the needs of the day) Depth Range: adjust to see the bottom but no more Sonar Setup: Color Scheme: Amber Color Gain: 74% (adjust regularly to meet the needs of the day) Color Limit: Default Trails: Off Bottom Fill: Off Sonar Layout: Grid Overlay: Hide Scroll History: Hide Onscreen Control: Show Reverse Range: Hide Compress Range: Off Noise Reject: Med (adjust to meet the needs of the day…) TVG: Off Ghost Reject: Auto or Off (it was on Auto on 11/23) Overlay Data: Whatever your prefs are (just determines what info shows on the screen) Installation: Install depth: 2 feet (adjust to your actual install depth) Stabilization: Auto Orientation: Forward Focus: Auto Fresh Hope that helps!
