Estas is amazing. He plays a classical guitar, but in his hands, it's a totally different instrument. Unbelievable creativity, virtuosity, power and depth, with great subtlety and nuance as well. I've never heard anyone approach the guitar with his phrasing, spacing and technique. Even when I'm not listening to him, I still hear him playing. I can't get enough of him. Born in the Ukraine, raised in Israel, he describes himself as a "modern day troubadour". He tours mostly in Europe, it appears. I'm guessing you can probably find him on any given day, playing in the streets of whatever city he happens to be in at the time. I can't figure out how much of what he plays is improvised and how much is composed beforehand. Probably, some of each, I'm guessing. He reminds me of Keith Jarret, when he's improvising. Keith required absolute silence from his audience, whereas Estas seems to groove on ambient sounds and distractions. Both he and Keith, seem to play from spiritually and audience derived energy, and I think that's key to their creativity. In this particular performance, it seems as if he's channeling himself between the audience, the artist behind him, and a higher spirit or energy level. At around minute 23, he delivers a soliloquy, sharing some insights into his mind. I think he's playing barefoot to tap into the energy of Mother Earth. He reaches really deep. He certainly seems fully engaged - body, mind and soul, and in the moment, as it were. At time 1:18, he says, "Trying not to be anybody." Then he smiles and says, "Trying not to be trying." Later he says, "There is nowhere to run anymore. There is no one to be anymore." Otherworldly, for sure. Estas is not a man who's playing a classical guitar. He's the materialization of a higher being, sharing a little of his understanding with us. Those who are fortunate enough to be within earshot are among the blessed.
A talent that cannot be taught.. This comes from within his very being . Each note is an extension of Estas.. You cannot say “ listen to that man playing the guitar !! “ But instead you would have to say listen to that sound he’s making . Because the music he is making is coming from within him .. The guitars he plays or nothing without him.. I’m hooked. .. Every morning I get up make my Coffee and go straight to UA-cam on my TV and pull up Estas Tonne and enjoy hearing his soul pouring out before I head out to work. .. He is a beautiful human being

Last weekend we were transformed into a time /space by this man during a concert in Columbus Ohio. He started out by saying 'to please relax and enjoy 2 hours of silence'. For the next 2 hours it was unbroken Estas Tonne music. The man, his guitar and his music. Estas Tonne has the ability to go into a musical trance that captures the audience and compels us to journey with him. Never before- now never ending.
Thats soul-spiritual cleaning and so openmind music.Every musician like his music..Pure magic thank god to send that guy at the earth and give him this kind of talend. RESPECT!!!!!!

Знаете что интервью было тоже очень впечатлительным не менее чем игра на гитаре. Когда человек выражает свое внутренне понимание мира с помощью звука то мы можем тоже это почувствовать если поймаем волну, но когда слушаешь что этот человек говорит то это дает ещё больший ключ к пониманию его творчества. Это как расшифровка его музыки. Тут я прочитал спор о Родине Эстаса. Но что сам он говорит об этом. Он не считает себя привязанным к какому то месту - будь то место рождения или место выступления или место проживания - он говорит что любой человек находится именно в том месте, в котором он должен находится. И важно даже не место как географическая единица и как система координат или территориальная административная и так далее - а важен тот момент в котором мы все живем и насколько мы в нем находимся и осознаем себя - настолько понимаем что такое вообще жизнь и что такое вечность. Вот об этом его музыка. Это музыка дышащая вечностью!

Seriously this shows how few real musicians are left. Most just prepare a few songs for their performance and collect money, go home. This guy is feeling it, living in it and taking us in a journey. Ever since I have discovered this great young man's music, I have become speechless. Eastas Tonne truly belts out unconventional fusion music which sounds magical and spiritual. Whenever I listen to this great artist, I ensure there is pindrop silence and preferably liisten during the noctournal hours to concentrate on the various notes and patterns of strumming. Wish I was one of the priviliged audience in such concerts though :)
I like the way he begins almost searchingly, tickling the strings to find the mood he will embrace, meditative, because when he finds it, he seems in his more intense strummings to be in a zone all his own. I am 70 years old and find his music amazing. Very restful too. I also discovered and like Stive Morgan.

This guy is amazing; he channels the music from deep within his soul. I often listen to Internal Flight, very aptly named, for it allows one to go deep within.
This makes me want to go back to Goa. It was so nice and peaceful the time I spent there, I loved it. It reminds me of the great beauty of life in the streets. That was a time that I will always cherish, it taught me so much of myself. I am thankful for it.
All the people who disliked this piece of art they really should check themselves.. I'm not saying this just to post something.. Is something wrong with you as a person to dislike this. No matter what type of other music you listen, but pressing dislike shows you have no soul, cuz this is not music, this itself is soul, life.. I cant stop listening to him. He plays with so much easiness and emotions that is mesmerizing. I feel alive with his music and I like to dance totally without thinking...like some kind of yoga...meditation in motion.
Yeah, ya know. I kinda thought the same thing the first time I saw one of his videos. I do still enjoy his playing. Thing is, if you watch enough of his performances you realize that he is improvising in the same key, with essentially the same chord progression, and very similar melodies in virtually all his songs. He does change the tone and dynamics and changes the feel of different performances reasonably well. But its the same song over and over. It's all the Song of the Golden Dragon. Damned good song, though.
That's almost every guitarist, though. Every musician loves what they love to play; it then becomes a game of making the same thing over and over, differently. It's like they say about directors, "Every director makes the same movie over and over." Which is true; the key is, they're trying to say it perfectly--everything leading to their magnum opus. Everything is practice until their peak.
@@michaelgraffam5423 you expressed politely what most of the people here take as an insult to this 'artist'. The reality is that the armonic variety of his songs is close to zero. And yes it is far from being the best guitarist in the world. This is a real insult to tons of guitar masters out there.
As alreadz mentioned, Estas mostly play with the same chord progression and in the same key on all his compositions. But he makes it work!!! He uses his tools to the max. He manages to catch everyones attention and take them on a musical journey. Al Di Meola, John Mcloughlin and Paco De Lucia are technically far better guitarists with a broader work range and repetoire. But music is not a competition, but an art form. Every musician has his/her own style and character. So if you like it, just ENJOY and do not COMPARE!!!

СОХРАНИЛ В ЗАКЛАДКИ - переслушиваю почти каждый день! Кайф, понятный только тем, кто слушает его полностью! Весь концерт Эстаса как одно целое большое переживание, удивительная музыкальная медитация. Иногда работаю и включаю параллельно и работаю, просто слушаю. Злопыхателям, озабоченым техникой Эстаса Тонне просто скажу - вам не понять, Эстас о другом. Who feels it knows it!
Thanks! Truly! Who feels the music of Estas knows it! You should to listen all concert to understand. 30 minutes isn't enough. This is not about guitar playing technique . It's about feeling and telling feelings with music. Not everybody can't understand.

Ever since I have discovered this great young man's music, I have become speechless. Eastas Tonne truly belts out unconventional fusion music which sounds magical and spiritual. Whenever I listen to this great artist, I ensure there is pindrop silence and preferably liisten during the noctournal hours to concentrate on the various notes and patterns of strumming. Wish I was one of the priviliged audience in such concerts though :)

Amazing guitar! My world has just opened up.
I like the way he begins almost searchingly, tickling the strings to find the mood he will embrace, meditative, because when he finds it, he seems in his more intense strummings to be in a zone all his own. I am 70 years old and find his music amazing. Very restful too. I also discovered and like Stive Morgan.
Just discovered his music days ago. So enchanting and sublime. I’ll check out your other recommendation.

This guy is amazing; he channels the music from deep within his soul. I often listen to Internal Flight, very aptly named, for it allows one to go deep within.
Yes, I meditate with his music frequently, it is perfect for going within.
This makes me want to go back to Goa. It was so nice and peaceful the time I spent there, I loved it. It reminds me of the great beauty of life in the streets. That was a time that I will always cherish, it taught me so much of myself. I am thankful for it.

All the people who disliked this piece of art they really should check themselves.. I'm not saying this just to post something.. Is something wrong with you as a person to dislike this. No matter what type of other music you listen, but pressing dislike shows you have no soul, cuz this is not music, this itself is soul, life.. I dont really believe in God, but to be able to do what Estas does definetily shows that Something exists somewhere. It can't be only pure talent.

this guy must legit be one of the best if not THE best guitar player in the entire world...
Yeah, ya know. I kinda thought the same thing the first time I saw one of his videos. I do still enjoy his playing.
Thing is, if you watch enough of his performances you realize that he is improvising in the same key, with essentially the same chord progression, and very similar melodies in virtually all his songs.
He does change the tone and dynamics and changes the feel of different performances reasonably well.
But its the same song over and over. It's all the Song of the Golden Dragon.

yep, you're right. as a guitarist myself I noticed the same. however as I'm writing a literature study report it makes damn good work music

Every musician loves what they love to play; it then becomes a game of making the same thing over and over, differently.
It's like they say about directors, "Every director makes the same movie over and over." Which is true; the key is, they're trying to say it perfectly--everything leading to their magnum opus.
Everything is practice until their peak.
@@michaelgraffam5423 you expressed politely what most of the people here take as an insult to this 'artist'. The reality is that the armonic variety of his songs is close to zero. And yes it is far from being the best guitarist in the world. This is a real insult to tons of guitar masters out there.
As alreadz mentioned, Estas mostly play with the same chord progression and in the same key on all his compositions. But he makes it work!!! He uses his tools to the max. He manages to catch everyones attention and take them on a musical journey. Al Di Meola, John Mcloughlin and Paco De Lucia are technically far better guitarists with a broader work range and repetoire. But music is not a competition, but an art form. Every musician has his/her own style and character. So if you like it, just ENJOY and do not COMPARE!!!

Рекомендую включать во время работы за компьютером. Настолько выравнивает внутреннее состояние и баланс что гармония внутренняя даёт трезвость и ясность ума в работе. Благо треки у него многочасовые и все держат в некотором напряжении и сосредоточенности.
Pavel Semenov мне как водиле фуры тоже очень помогает. Главное не завтыкать что за компом что за рулем))
