I used this stuff last night for our slow draining tub. I poured the 1/2 in and set a timer for one hour. I was really concerned about using anything in our pipes because they are PVC. But the packaging information says that it is in fact safe for plastic pipes. So after the hour was up I ran the hot water four nearly 5 minutes. This mornings shower went great! The tub drained immediately. I have inspected the exposed pipes in the basement and everything looks fine. This $13.00 investment saved me from calling a plumber and spending a hunndred dollars easily.
Is this corrosive to the skin like other acidic drain cleaners? And why do we need to clean around drain rather than allowing it to drain during the flush?
yes, I would use gloves. as for your second question... rewatch the video. Check around the drain at the start, the tub finish goes all the way to the drain. At the end of the video you can see where the cleaner dissolved the finish of the tub around the rim of the drain.
I actually also had to use a second dose. Not sure if I did it wrong the first time but as far as I know I did them both the same, however, the second time it worked fantastically
I bought the powdered Green Gobbler. I poured the powder in slowly and then the hot water. It helped a little but the long green barbed tool brought quite a bit of hair up. Used i a second gobbler treatment, put the shower water on full blast and the drain kept up with it. We love this stuff.
But it works great, no complaints from me. There are some different formulas that do specifically say "gel" but I've not found it on this particular formula or bottle... where does this particular bottle claim to say that it is gel? I'm curious

That is great!
Just ordered my 3rd bottle. Been using it since 2018 for my bathroom sink. Works like a charm every time.
💯 agree!
Thanks for the info! Gonna give it a try this evening! 😊🙏
Make sure you rinse around the drain after adding the cleaner, hope it works well for you!

just got this for my shower drain. one tube of it didn’t work so just did the second tube. wish me luck.
Hope you have better results... this stuff is pretty potent and should have got it the first time. Your clog may be something a bit more serious.

@@lucascolantoni8012 glad it worked for you

Green Gobbler AKA a woman cosplaying as The Green Goblin😂
That's pretty funny
This junk claims to be a gel style cleaner but it's as thin as water?
