Last week was the worst spot to be in for this team. They're old, they lack depth and they had to play a good team on a short week, on the road. When you have an older team, a short week is the worst thing you can get, and when you lack younger talent for depth, you're gonna get blown out. This team needed a fast start to the season, so when this stretch came up, they had some margin for error to work with. This next draft there focus has to be on the o line and d line. If they took the best player at either of those positions with every pick I would be happy. But the issue is McDaniel and Grier don't prioritize those positions

Lifelong Dolphan here, nearly 50 years. That said ... You guys are smoking the finest Floridian meth if you think we have a shot at winning out and making the playoffs. At best, we will go 2-3 down the stretch, although with what I've seen from this team, I expect us to go 1-4 - winning next week against the Jets and going 0-4 to finish out - and finish a dismal 6-11, most likely drafting between 8 and 14 in the draft. And we had better make the most of those 1st-3rd round draft picks, e.g. OL, DL, and LB. Letting Christian Wilkins go was absolute stupidity. Letting Raekwon McMillan go a few years back was also idiotic. Defensively, we have no interior line presense, ZERO pass rush (I'm sorry but Jaelen Phillps and Chop Robinson are busts, although Robinson is better against the run than Phillips is), and we cannot cover ANY RB or TE in the league - see the past 3 weeks on how the opposing RB's and especially, particularly TE's, have absolutely killed us in the passing game. Additionally, the LB's consistently miss tackles (mostly arm tackle attempts, makes me sick as a former LB/DE) and couldn't cover the broad side of a barn, slow and incompetent against the pass. So yes, we need interior OL but we can find that in Free Agency. We need 2 Guards and some depth pieces, because our current depth is absolutely atrocious. What I would do is get 1 Guard and focus on improving the run blocking with Eichenburg (I think he can turn out to be a solid player at RG) and a more dependable RT, because every season Austin Jackson just cannot stay healthy and on the field. I agree with Omar, that we need to play Paul and LT and let him develop. Have him work closely with Armstead so he can absorb as much of that knowledge as he can. If I can pile on, we also need help at the corner spot, because Ramsey has lost it and gets beat on the constant every week, Storm Duck is probably better in the Nickel/Dime position, but I think Kohou is the one solid corner we have. So getting a veteran on the outside, move Ramsey to the Strong Safety position, let Holland play over the top (Ramsey is more physical and Holland is better with coverage, not to mention Ramsey could cover those damned TE's better) and let Maye and Poyer go, both are abysmal and Brooks is also a bust. Draft some depth on the backend, 4th-6th rounds and maybe get another veteran corner for depth in FA. What for? Playoff run is done. All they’ll do is win a few more meaningless games and screw up our draft position. Time to win was at the beginning and middle of season, not now.
If Grier is still drafting, who cares if the draft position is better anyway?
How much of a difference would the draft position be anyway?
This team is soft like McDonalds ice cream.
How bad must mo kamara be to not get any snaps when they are this desperate for a edge help
Hesa 5th round rookie, dude. What did you expect?
As bad as Cam Smith
@@TT-cj9fi to not get any snaps when you are healthy and the team is desperate is a sign that the player is not ready. That's Channing tindall's level of play. One of Omar and Barry's best points is that the drafting needs to be better when the salary commitments are so high to only a few players. Not sure that the dolphins are getting that from Grier.
Idk same head coach that has Mo on the bench put Gesicki on the bench, and Gesicki produced more as a 3rd receiver than any receiver on this team not named Hill and Waddle.
That's your "genius" coach.
If you’re a team that’s banking on other teams to lose so that you can make the playoffs. Maybe your efforts are better spent building a good team. If this team makes the playoffs, they’re getting SMOKED like a holiday turkey
There's no question. But Ross doesnt seem to mind, as long as people show up to the stadium and that TV revenue keeps rolling in.
Other teams are banking on other teams to lose
@ which teams?? Only the bottom feeders! The Broncos aren’t banking on other teams to lose. Neither are the Chargers or the Ravens
@@geraldbartczak8832 just like I thought. Y’all just say anything
I hope the Jets beat us and eliminate us next week. This franchise is a clown show.
Really disappointed in the defence , miss Vic need to address big time
Our DC stinks!
Where was Vic in the Tennessee game at the end?
@@happyevelyn then why is he being talked about being a head coach next year?
@@geraldbartczak8832 Thats nonsense.
@@geraldbartczak8832 Vic Fanzio has the Eagles on a roll!
Other than locked on, this is the only dolphins related pod I watch. Barry and Omar really really want the dolphins to win. You can feel it in their discussions. Most other local coverage is trash (Poupart and Perkins)
Like everybody else they’re just giving their opinion and their opinion doesn’t really count
The reality is that the dolphins stink and suck against good teams and in the cold and sorry guys but the 2024 season is over
