I find this cool, then again I'm hammered!, but I subscribed anyway ( I think I'll dig your stuff sober), By the way some day I would like to make it to Limerick! just to check out the locals, and stuff
HOLY SHIT IT'S THE *ONE* OTHER THING I KNOW ABOUT IRELAND I came across Horse Outside in some article about misunderstood satire once and have been listening to them since. They're also how I know what "yokes" are. And what "double dropping" is. And "Aemon de Valera".
I'm pretty sure we passed through Limerick on way to some farm in County Kerry on a family holiday. That sideways time zone explains why I can't really remember passing through the town or not. Thought the castle on the bank of the river is the one in Carlow. But looks like any other castle in Ireland.
Aparrantly, the way you are saying Costello's is wrong. That's how I said it too, but Limerick folks were quick to inform me it's pronounced "Cost elös".
For those that don't know. The statue is Richard Harris, a famous actor from Limerick who played King Arthur in Camelot (1967). Maybe this dude should be his research alot more.
