You know, at the beginning of the 20th century, the Royal Navy was by far the most powerful in the world. The signing of the idiotic Washington Naval Treaty and its successors, however, combined with the losses sustained during World War II, and the significant budget cuts and reduction in size during the Cold War, rendered the Royal Navy a shadow of its former self. It wasn’t that long ago that this was still true. Now, however, I’m pleased to see the recent improvement the Royal Navy has shown in recent years. The current administration has been committed to strengthening the navy, and the latest ships have been top notch. It’s nice to see the Royal Navy on the right track again.

The Royal Navy, by expanding it's Awesome Capabilities and permanently basing East of Suez makes Commonwealth partners more confident, makes possible a lot of joint ventures with partners like Japan and pleases Americans, Like Me, because it increases the stability of the Far East and is a powerful deterrent to aggressive nations. The Royal Navy is Really Good at that.

Now currently commonwealth applicants are not being allowed to move to the UK,the recruiters say it has everything to do with covid-19,I have gone through my application and my security clearance and residency waiver accorded but I have been asked to wait,so do you have any idear when this travel ban will be off lifted?

@@cameronyoung7592 it is sad but true that the Royal Navy didn’t preserve a single Battleship, Battlecruiser, Dreadnaught orPre Dreadnaught.
We never even saved any Heavy Cruisers.
All we have is only two light Cruisers one from the 1st World War One that was a part of the battle of Jutland.
and HMS Bealfast the Town Class Light cruiser most famous from the battle of the North Cape in world war 2 other than that there’s a few destroyers but that’s about it.
There is still one pre Dreadnaught Battleship that was built by the Royal Navy however it didn’t serve as Royal Navy vessel rather the flag ship of the legendary admiral Togo of the Imperial Japanese Navy during the battle of Tsushima aka Japans Trafalgar. The Mikasa still remains a museum ship to this day so perhaps in a way there still is 1 British built pre Dreadnaught battleship left in the world.

The ships belonged to the infamous Edward Low and his crew. After an eight-hour battle, the Greyhound was victorious. Former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Sanae Takaichi, who ran for the LDP presidential election in Japan, said, "Korea will not let Takeshima (the Japanese name for Dokdo) build any more structures." Professor Kyoung-duk criticized, "Watch out for the words."

The 1st step requires money and commitment from the slimy politicians. Then increasing the RN size, the current 19 warships is not a navy. The RN needs to return to 40 fighting warships, not just small patrol craft. A submarine force of 20 SSNs, the current 7 is too small. Remember the RN is a fighting navy, not a small pleasure sailing club.
Cold war 2.0 has already started and China (CCP) are mental enough for it to go hot. So the RN needs more like 80 warships and 40 SSN and that needs building a.s.a.p. .
The Royal Navy is building lots more ships there just building them a lot slower then chine In fact chine is making ships that fast every 4 years they make the whole Royal Navy fleet but like I said the Royal Navy is still making more ships and the Royal Navy ships are much better then chines
@@Ukfairgrounds Mate the RN is building plenty of ships, but the problem is they're decommissioning loads as well.
Then you have the problems with the Type 45. The tech is fantastic and works great from what I understand, but someone screwed up big time with power plant problems. As they're that old now it's gone beyond being just teething problems, with them breaking down, to being a fundamental design flaw. They need replacing a.s.a.p. Not towards the end of the 2030's in nearly 20 years time.
So with the amount of ships going out of service and the problem child type 45 the RN needs to build way more than we are.
