I never understood why this type of alien abduction or alien coming down on earth type thing is still not a mainstream game theme. This is a major hidden potential for survival horror games based on this theme.

Yeah.. well. .. the worst regarding aliens is getting humiliated on an operating table.. ghosts.. well they might either curse or instakill you or trap you. Pest or colera.. aliens you can usually kill, they are frail physically but big smarts and have tech making them space magicians.. ghosts dont really have a counter unless you know a crux regarding its story

The writing was a bit stiff, as well as the voice acting, but with those minor complaints aside, I thought the atmosphere was really cool. You can definitely tell the creators were heavily inspired by Signs. Side note, The Village was another film by M. Night Shyamalan I enjoyed. His films all have a similar vibe, and I know he catches a lot of flak, but he's had several films I've really enjoyed.
This looks absolutely amazing. I had a small theory though. The shape of the probe you are finding are cone shaped. The hats that bob wears is cone shaped. They could fit under that hat and the light could be hidden by the tin foil. Bob was way to calm for an alien invasion and not scared/excited enough about them coming. Almost like he knew when they were coming. I 100% could be wrong but this. Plus who in their right mind wouldn't be either angry or terrified they put probes on thier cat. (THE DOGAND CAT BETTER BE OK DEVELOPERS)
You have to take everything in context. The dialogue makes it seem this stuff has been happening for a very long time hence why the neighborhood watch and the fact they wont go to the police. So ryan (dad) mustve had an idea this would one day happen. Also if we are going based on real life if you believe in abductions most of the time humans are returned relatively unharmed....relatively.. so he may be silently freaking out but also understand that this was a real possibility well before it happened and now that it has theres good irl evidence to suggest he will be back unharmed. But who knows

Even the noise they make sounds like the ones from signs lol they scariest part is when they are at the kids birthday party and it walks out from the bushes lol and those sounds give me chills as well

Not a terrible game but the dialogue was so cringe, especially the voice actor for Ryan. He would do a dramatic generic scream and then just talk calmly seconds later
Signs IS my fav movie. Was one of my best experiences in cinema and even though the ending "summery" of events seems forced, its a great journey leading up to the end.
The movie Signs kept me up for weeks and this was so good I was holding my breath like the whole time, this kinda thing you just can't stop watching! I can't wait to see you play that one there is no way I would play lol
I also love the movie "Signs" so when I played this and went into the shed and the alien 'chittering' started, three things happened to me. 1. My heart stopped. 2. My blood ran cold. 3. I stopped breathing. Cannot wait to play the full version.
Signs is a top 5 movie for myself. My ex hated it because she grew up on a farm... surrounded by corn. I loved when we stayed at her parents house and I would bring this movie up

Though the market is very small for actual alien games, this intrigues me. It reminds me of Alien: Isolation, Outlast 2 and Horror Story: Hallowseed, all mixed together. Horror is always more effective on the audience when you can't see the threat. Although I remember being terrified the first time I saw those aliens in Signs! Fear is always more potent when the object of the fear is faceless i find. What horror movie plot twist hit you hardest @Fooster ? Mine is definitely "The Sixth Sense" closely followed by "The Others" 😊
I can’t agree more, leaving something to your imagination can be a horrifying way of the viewer creating their own nightmares. In this case though I’m fine with knowing it’s the greys 😁

I watched your playthrough of the green alien cube. Now that was awesome at using the environmental noise and stuff happening off screen that you can hear but not see. Partial pieces of information and symbols you have to kind of work out for yourself... Some of the jump scares got you good 😅

Your unbridled excitement for the games you play makes your content such a joy to watch, I always watch your videos when my day sucked and it always makes me feel better
The sound work in this game should win awards. It's absolutely legendary. It sells the premise better than anything else in the entire demo. Not that the rest is bad by any stretch of the imagination (apart from some really spotty voice acting), but the sound design is just next level. I honestly hope it stays short and sweet, because these types of scenarios are best handled as quick, punchy experiences that don't give you the time to really rationalize what you're dealing with.
This is an amazing demo! I will be looking forward to you playing the whole game! It really does reflect that Signs atmosphere (love the movie, btw), and it looks so cool!
They're actually Glignax from Card Services, here to lower his credit card interest rate to 0% APR. Unfortunately they keep confusing his interest rate for his heart rate (easy mistake to make), and so we end up with the core conflict of the game.

Hey fooster, I just want to thank you for always bringing joy into many peoples lives with your content. Whether you know it or not you make a big impact on people's lives. I just been going through a rough patch and a pretty tough breakup after knowing this person for 5+ years and your videos always bring light into what seems my darkest days, thank you.
The setting and vibe are awesome, I can't wait to see how the game progresses. This is one of those horror tropes where everyone makes the worst decision possible because the plot needs to happen. His reason to leave the house and abandon his son is a fetch quest for a stranger and nails moments after bailing on his dog. It'd be a lot more believable that he ran after the dog without thinking until he was too far away to get back before his son was abducted and he should grab the pistol from his house after that instead of a random car.
Loving this so far. Would be good to see a mechanic where pumping the torch makes noise that the greys can hear. So you either got to go in the dark or risk being heard.
If you're familiar with the found footage movie The McPherson Tape / Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County, the game is heavily based and inspired by that film. Despite its age u should watch it before playing the full game just to see its parallels.

It does remind me of Signs as well. And I agree, it was and still is an amazing movie. Seen it in the cinema twice! It keeps me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I just watched the movie you suggested in this video game, and it was AWESOME! Mel Gibson is one of the best stars out there, and I love it when you and Fisk just start yelling about beef in songs of the forest and those types of games. I love your channel. And I agree, it was and still is an amazing movie.
Seen it in the cinema twice!
It keeps me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Even though we don't see a lot of the alienst (little bit at the end though) but the tension in the movie.
So well done.
Guess I'll have to do another watch of the movie.
Also another great underrated alien movie for me is: Altered.
