Thank you very much for this nice advertisement for this expansion. I'm sure it's a great expansion.
Unfortunately, I and many other backers (e.g. all German-speaking backers from the crowdfunding campaign) have not yet had the opportunity to play it. I backed the game and the expansion on gamefound on 31.03.2021. That was almost 3.5 years ago. I still don't know if and when I will receive my copies. I and the other backers crowdfunded to make sure this game and the expansion were released... Now it's available in stores before I even know when I'll receive my copy - you promote it in this video.
No comment in youR promotion video about the current state for the backer.
You shouldn't be surprised about negative reviews on BGG about the expansion. Maybe it is not fair to rate it negative because the expansion itself might be amazing, but the reason for anger about this situation is understandable. I think it's worth looking through the comments section of this crowdfunding campaign to get a feel for it.
To clarify - This is not a hate comment, just an analysis of the current situation.
Myself and others havent gotten our pledges in America so dont hold your breath. You may never get your game. I dont expect to. Theft.
quick question, hasnt this game been out already for years through another publisher? so is this the collectors edition? or an expansion? im confused. what did so many people back and still apparently not receive?

There was a crowdfunding campaign for a collectors Edition of the Game robinson Crusoe. This Collectors edition was not available before. Within this campaign it also was possible to pledge for an expension called the book of adventures. Some backers are still waiting for the Collectors edition of the game, some for the expansion and some for both.
Many angry ratings are NOT because of the bad campaign! It's because there's a lot of repeat content AND misprints.
German playerboards have quite a few very obvious spelling and layout mistakes, which bring the game near to unplayability.
You have the balls to anounce an expansion for this trainwreck of a Gamefound campaign? Where are the base games you promised to deliver months ago? Why is the support not answering emails?
A nice presentation of the extension, can only recommend everyone to try it out.
But is this really the video you should publish now? Many supporters are worried, many disappointed and many very angry about the behaviour of you and your company. If you look at the campaign page, the comments section has been overflowing for weeks and months with messages about missing items and the costumer support ignoring every message.
The only reaction from you? You laugh at the negative reviews of an expansion and simply continue to ignore the problems as if they were not worthy of your attention. I really expected things to change when you took over personally. Now I'm sure that all the problems start with you.

I (and all my friends) will never buy or back a single Portal games game any more.
Sorry, but with all what happend (delays, broken promisses and untrue statements) makes it impossible...
The fact that - the german edition - was sold nearly one year ago by pegasus and I did not even - up to today - got an email to approve my shipping address makes this the worst campaign I've ever seen.
So no more games from you guys. :(
I have now received my German Copy. 2 years and 3 months later than you said during the campaign.
You justified the delays with additional proofreading and corrections during several updates. I understood that.
But now, within 10 minutes I have found 19(!) errors on the German playerboards.
What do you as the head of Portal Games say about this?
And still not a single word about all the non-english editions. Spanish, Korean and Brazilian editions don't even have an ETA.
Sad story here. German version still not here in Austria. Sent an Email and they told me that I did not respond to an Email (that never arrived) for whatever delivery cost (stuff was paid completely years ago) and they do not have a game for me (Basebox plus Book). So I requested my money back. Solution: Bought it right now at my FLGS for €80 for the same content. Will never ever touch a PR Game anymore.
Shit Campaign, still don't have what I ordered... No more portal games for me. 👎👎👎
Oh and the German Gamefound Version is really a pity.
How can the translation be worse than the deluxe version released by Pegasus 1 year ago?
I still do not understand how the 3D camp is representing the additional roof levels. First upgrade is obvious but I do not understand how to indicate level 2. There is nothing mentioned in the rule book…
False advertising! Did not receive my full pledge what I ordered. Did not get a refund, did not get missing parts, support simply ignores requests. Really negative emotions, very bad work. I hope noone will get scammed by you again. But really bad reputation damage. This video is a lie :D sending you negative vibes. 😞

Hey bro, where's my pledge? I'm a US backer and a lot of us have gotten nothing and you ignore our emails. You claim US fulfillment was completed a long time ago so I guess you just stole our money. Not cool.
until today my german campaign edition has not arrived!!!!
It looks wonderful! Maybe someday I, a Brazilian Gamefound supporter, will be able to play my base game that no one knows where it is right now. Then I will think about expansion.
