this is how yngwie would have looked if he remained a classical guitarist :) XD
Awesome performance, I enjoyed this very much. G.
That´s bullshit.
4:10 Did anyone else start headbanging or was that just me?
it helps to play more beautifully.))))
He's the one that got me interested in classical music for guitar, very charismatic and emotionally charged, and awesome technique
Must be one of the hardest pieces to play clean.
A proper musical performance of this in my opinion.
Bravo
Thanks for your friendship !
Your channel is great and this video awesome !
I put Dimitri in my playlist "The 30 guitarists of youtube" !
I expect everyone at my channel with a "mate" ( South American hot drink ), guitar, symphonic & chamber music !
Actually Paginini played many duets with the famous guitarist Luigi Legnani. Paginini wrote many pieces for the two of them to perform. His famous work "Grand Sonata" now usually played just by a solo guitarist was originally written for violin and guitar. Paganini was actually a fairly accomplished guitarist himself and is reputed to have coerced Luigi into playing the rudimentary violin part, whilst he took the limelight playing the guitar!
...Alto nivel de guitarra clasica...Bravo!!!...
@ABEL1840 SORRY YOU WASTED YOUR CAPS HERE, ABEL! The Carnival of Venice, is a folk tune that existed at least a hundred years before Paganini. French composer André Campra composed an opera based on it which was premiered in 1699. This was 83 years before Paganini was even born!
Fantastic performance!
congrats
Incredible. He must have practiced this song alone for a year straight.
thinks to me that for someone yamashita were born before Tarrega... Fanatics Ridiculous...
Always great to see more of Dimitri! Thanks for sharing!
I can't stand this music! why is it performed at all!? circus act or something? PS. I know who did these variations. better the Alhambra.
Fastest tuning ever 5:30
Bouwe Elzinga awesome
Very pro and expririenced player i love his playing
I've seen him yesterday at a concert in Karlsruhe. He played this title too. Brilliant!
Hebatttttt bangettt
Apakah anda menyimpan tabolasi nya, susah sekali mencari nya😢
i love your way of playing. Your sound and style can define how ¨rusosky chasconosky
@TogglyToggler he was never a classical guitarist hahahah
Genius !
@ABEL1840 Paganini was a truly great composer and musician, but you do him no favors with your argument. It is well known that he based his variations on the work by Gioachino Rossini whom he had first met in Bologna 1818. The two became close friends and payed tribute to each other on more than a few occasions.
Bravo Dimitri!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for uploading!
tocai como el hoyo
Dimitri Illarionov é realmernte incrível. Bravo!!!
he makes it look so easy...
excelente interpretacion
Hi Abel1840
SoloGuitarist is on the right track. The main theme or tune for Carnival of Venice is an old Italian Folk Song named in Italian language as "Oh cara mama mia". Most country folk sing and play it and also dance to it yet nobody knows who composed it because it is so old. Paganini wrote the variations for him to play as virtuoso.
Have fun and enjoyment with good music. You are on the right track. Classical music is complete and balanced.
Perth, Western Australia 12March 2013.

this is how Tosin Abasi would have looked if he remained a classical guitarist
I had the pleasure of going to see him in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico in 2009
@MrSoomsoom He started like one but electricity took him away :)

@TogglyToggler Yngwie sucks. Electric guitarists can't play real guitars.
I don't know.....more more technic and speed. No good
He is trying to be Yamashita. There is only one Yamashita. Kazuhito
Agreed...very stupid comment
Dude the time embellishments are too much.. it’s classical not jazz.
The notes are there on the page, play them. Can’t just play whole notes in place of half notes whenever you want. And holding your guitar up at the end? Come on you’re good, maybe consider not showboating as much. You’re a talented player
la peor interpretación que he visto
I suspect Dimitri spends the majority of his practice time studying himself in the mirror, to ensure he makes a profoundly awe-inspiring impact as a performer. It would be nice if he played something other than one of Tarrega's more forgettable salon compositions. Hell, I would have preferred Lagrima to this tripe.
he is fake and this is a freak performance!!!!!!!!!!!
