Brilliant bit of content especially with my wandering early I see what you mean by they're good in certain environments. Didnt know about them little twig fire things thats pretty cool. Cant beat the morning birds songs..I love that about where I live, Imagine living in a city and missing out on that bit of bliss I couldnt do it.
Good idea and nice vid! I like that combination of the twig stove and pathfinder cup, nice little mini kit. 👍👍 Do you ever have a go at the deer? Good resource to have on your place
Yeah it's good for dampy forests, or jungle with lots of bugs I reckon. I'd use this is places I really wanted to get off the ground. Thanks for watching.
Cheers mate. I have my home made oil skin wrap that I usually use in my other videos, but since it was dry and no rain here I decided just to go with the woolen blanket
I love the hammock setup, it’s a really affordable option and as you say, so handy for rocky areas. I find I really need a pad underneath me though otherwise it’s cold - even in the warmer months. Just a thin yoga mat or cheap closed cell foam mat keeps it comfy.
Yeah I remember camping in a hammock in the middle of summer. It was like 38 degrees in the day, but no clouds at night. I got a rude shock when it dropped down to really cold conditions at night and my underside was very cold. I know Alton goods has an underquilt for the hammock for that very purpose.
I have a rectangular twig stove and am surprised at the heat it can put out, its good for solo trips or with my son. So true about the campfire, here is Auz we have to be careful even in winter sometimes.
Yeah usually this set from alton goods comes with a tarp. You can run another Ridge line higher up and put that over it. No rain was forecasted on this night and I had tree cover to keep the dew off me
Actually on your side is not too bad. I'm usually a stomach sleeper though which gets kind of hard to do. So hammock camping is not really my preffered way of camping.
I sleep on my side in a hammock. Try to lay at an angle, and I tend to put my clothes under my knees to level myself out a bit 👍🏼 I have a nightcat Hammock tent
nice video. Your so lucky to back onto such great country. If you ever need more hunters helping with your deer problem let me know, haha. I'd gladly share an entire animal if you were interested in learning how to field dress then section out a deer :)
Well you could wrap yourself up in hammock and lie on the ground 😄 This video was more a fun way to expirement carrying the hammock settup as a bedroll .. so yes technically the title is wrong.
I'd like to see more of this sort of camping. In fact I can see myself falling down a worm hole.
Once ya start with the traditional camping it's hard to stop 😄
Great video, Luke. Enjoy your videos. Love hearing your Aussie accent. Keep enjoying life.🎉
Cheers thanks for watching!

Very nice my friend😎
Enjoy your stuff Luke. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching.
Nice one Luke . We love our hammocks when camping . Prefer them to a tent
Thanks for watching. I actually prefer to be on the ground, but I can see where a hammock would be the ideal choice.

That's a really good concept for camping where I live here in Brazil. Maybe I should give it a try 🤔
Cheers and blessings, mate 👊🏽

oiled canvas wrap to keep your blanket dry and I reckon it'd be about spot on.

Thanks love the experience with the camps
cheers mate.
Enjoyed this Luke! Just a nice easy watch. Looked like a comfy nights sleep too and what a beautiful way to wake up.
Thanks for watching .. falling asleep to the kookuburras was the best part for sure!
Hi Luke, try out the Hobo stove, it's just old large jam tin. The Swagman used these.
Thanks mate I will have to make one myself. I have to see if they still sell tinned jam. I remember they had it when I lived in Africa.
Awesome setup mate! 🇦🇺 🇳🇿
Cheers mate.
Good video Luke excellent way to spend a night in the bush. Keep those videos going!😊

Nice Luke, looking forward to the next one.

Just ordered a sheepskin bedroll. $250. Not bad 👍
Awesome mate, they really are great ... makes a good blanket, but I love using it as a mattress to sleep on the best.
@@TheBeardedBushranger yer looks cool as. I just got a dirty dee swag. It’s guna be luxurious in there lol.
Great vid Luke. Is the only down side to a hammock you can’t sleep on your side 🤔. But looks damn comfy

Oh cheers thanks for that mate. Yeah It's something I really want to get more into and learn this year. Valuable skill to have.
I see how to use the hammock as a hammock. How to carry it so it looks like a bedroll. But how do I use it as a bedroll?
